I love them so much that I am now all about Pendergast and Preston books. I have read every single one. Pendergast starts out in Relic as a sort of background character, but by the next book he reels me in and I knew I would be reading the rest! Love them!
Got me started on Preston and Child. Read everything since
My introduction to Pendergast series and Preston and Child books. Suspend reality and take the ride. I’ve gone on to read many P&C books and they don’t disappoint.
These were the first two books I read of Agent Pendergast. This books as not dark as the most current ones.
Pendergast is always good.
I purchased each of these separately. I enjoy the Pendergast series so much! I’ve read them all and can’t wait until the next one comes out! I started with Relic, the first in the series, and I was hooked from the start. I didn’t discover the series until sometime in 2014, when I became an audible member. I am caught up and look forward to the next one!
Relic is better than Reliquery, but both are interesting. My parents took me to the Museum of Natural History as a child, and, like all kids, I imagined the exhibits coming to life – especially the dinosaurs! And, of course, I was sure all kinds of things came up from the basement at night. Well, in Relic, something similar happens, without any supernatural explanation; still, very scary.
This was the first of the Preston/Child collaborations, and the writing isn’t yet refined, but still – an exciting read. WARNING: if you’re thinking of watching the movie, don’t. It must have been shot on a shoestring, and it’s so dark you can barely make anything out.
I love these authors and all of their novels! I am always looking forward to their next endeavor.
These are the two that started it all.
Every book in the world of Agent Pendagrast is rich with characters that you can remember picture perfect 3 books down the line.
From the incredible storytelling some coming from or most from Agent Alyuisios (spelt wrong my apologies) like his feud with his brother in cabinet of curiosity. Or books that you think must be of supernatural nature like in the Pharoahs key wich is solved ahhhh but the door is left open how did some of these things possibly happen.
To many of you who have not read one of their novels which I believe there is at least 8 to 10. Any way I am sure you saw that movie the Relic from the book of the same name wich as most situations the book is so much better. Even though the movie was pretty good. Although they barely went into agent Pendagrasts character, But his faithful NYC detective who turns captain eventually & partner in adventure. I could say put Sherlock Holmes dou to sleep
Aloyisus Pendergast, need I say more?
Two great writers, two great books. Read them!
I love all Preston & Child books. I’ve read almost all of them. They can’t write them fast enough for me. Also, their individual books are just as good as when they write together.
Both classic scify horror yarns. Very entertaining.
DON’T MISS THESE BOOKS!!
