Escape into freedom
Are you looking for a hot, steamy, feel good book about the girl being her on hero and the guy being the force to keep and help her be strong? This is the perfect book for you. I love that the firecats are slowly finding their hearts and healing with the help of their special ladies. The path towards their HEA is going to be long and painful, but they will get their eventually. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.
I’m usually not much of a fan of shifter books, but this book and the whole Firecats series by P. Jameson blew me away… Original take on the topic, with some deep, twisted characters, in short it’s different in a good way, very good way…
Heart of Gold – P. Jameson – Thomas has an advantage over the other child soldiers turned cursed shifters in his pack: his mom stuck around. Now he needs her help to save the only person that might be able to save him. Marlee has been a prisoner of a crime lord since her 18th birthday, but her escape lands her in the middle of a shifter pack that work for her captor. Thomas can hear his inner lion for the first time since he was cursed, and it’s his only hope to restore Marlee and save his own broken heart. She escaped with a picture of her fellow captives, and his pack mates recognize the girls in the photo as their only hopes. They are about to wage a war on the Devil of Memphis! Happy Reading!
3.5 stars This one was ok but not as good as I would have hoped. I read a review before I started this book that said this series wasn’t as good as the Ouachita Mountain Shifters was where the alley cats originally were introduced. Thus far I find that to be correct. Ratchets story wasn’t as interesting as Malcolm’s story in All is Bright yet I find my self wanting to continue with the next story. The next story is Monster’s and I find him intriguing so read on I shall. Until next time y’all happy reading.
This is a particularly grim yet moving retelling of Beauty and the Beast. The Beast is cursed to be without his inner animal (that is a switch) and Beauty clearly has not been allowed to be beautiful. Both need redemption; both need to see a little light in their respective hard lives; both need to fight their demons. Throw in corruption, human trafficking and criminal activity and this story feels more like “Sin City” than it does “West Side Story”. Still, the action draws you in and you cannot help but read to the end of this stage of Ratchet’s and Marlee’s story.
Fantastic new books from ‘the Queen of THE FEELS’ P Jameson.
this book is the start of a spin off series from her other books….( quichita series ) now I was prepaired to HATE the guys because… well their the BAD GUYS! but sneaky sneaky P… she has that covered. These bad guys are actually not such bad guys. They are broken guys and damaged guys and hurt guys….dammit I think I’m gonna like these guys!!
You don’t have to read the other series to enjoy this book ( because it’s a bloody fantastic read )…… BUT WHY WOULDNT YOU??
