He and coauthor Steven Droullard, … Droullard, along with muscle physiology expert Dr. Marni Boppart, want to share a little known fact with the world: You don’t have to fall apart as you get older. Through carefully calibrated progressive strength training and supporting nutrition, you can stave off sarcopenia, along with dozens of other age-related illnesses.
Using scientific evidence and real-life case studies, Choosing the StrongPath offers a clear path away from a steady decline in the last third of your life and toward a healthier, happier you.

A great motivator to a positive life changing practice. A real life changer for me. I highly recommend this book.
If you are over 30 you should read this excellent book!!!
I love this book and I need this book. I am 63 years old, little to no energy, overweight and worried about my health and longevity. I am using this book, and it’s authors recommendations, to change my physical state into one that is strong and healthy so that my final decades will be lived in a healthy, happy and active way. I am so excited about making this change and so grateful to have come upon this book. Sending the authors my before and after pictures and story!
This is for people who are really serious about changing their bodies.
Strong Path states the obvious about exercising prolonging good heath and how sarcopenia steals streght and energy through the aging process. However it also convincingly builds a facts based case for not simply being active but including weight bearing exercise into one’s routine. The author offers himself as testimony to the value of this approach. But as I stated earlier it’s a different twist on the old use it or lose it maxim.
A wonderfully optimistic book for people who are concerned about their health and well being. Motivated me to pay more attention to resistance training.
Strong argument about a little discussed disease of aging that is preventable/reversible with lifestyle changes. it stresses heavy weight training and gives too little attention to functional training, which may be superior for many reasons for better body flexibility, balance, coordination, shape, and cardiovascular conditioning. An important argument but too myopic with its solution. And way overwritten — a magazine article would have been more appropriate. There really is not enough content for a book-length treatise.
Very informative. The book did not need 700+pages.
As you get older this book will be a great help.
Just wish they would maybe do a at home, no gym, edition or new book.
Not realistic for many older people dealing with chronic issues..
could make some issues worse. Might not be safe
I found this book redundant. While you the premise is great, how to have quality life vs than a life of fragility and disease, do strength training resistance exercises. But there are no excercises included and the author restates over and over sarcopenia is real and diet and strength training excerise is the key to prevention. This book could have as much impact in a 10 page phamplet.
Just what I was looking for. Something to tell me what seniors need to do aat the gym to keep themselves strong.
