Life isn’t promised, love isn’t easy, and relationships aren’t always clean, but everyone has their soulmate who is willing to forgive when it would be better to forget.Trevor “Tank” TrumboltI never thought in the blink of an eye my life could change, but it did. Cresting a hill driving to my favorite fishing spot, I was hit head-on by a teenager with no regard for anyone’s life but his own.The … anyone’s life but his own.
The recovery process has been hard, painful, and damn near beating me down.
The bright spot? Blaze.
Surviving the wreck has given me a second chance to make a life with her. Not knowing if I’ll ever be able to rejoin the Moonshine Task Force again has brought my world into focus. It’s made me realize what’s important.
Blaze. Stella. My brothers. My sister.
The ego that ran Blaze away before isn’t here any longer. What’s left is a man who’s holding his heart in his hands and a burning hope that once I’m healed she’ll still be around.
Daphne “Blaze” Coleman
There’s only been one person in the world who’s accepted me for who I am – from the fiery red of my hair and vibrant tattoos covering parts of my body to the smartness of my mouth and my desire to be matched in the bedroom.
That man is Trevor Trumbolt. When he asked me to give up my job as an EMT because he saw the dangers I face one scary afternoon, it spelled the end for us.
Now that he’s been injured, he needs my help and my love. I’ll give it all freely, but in the end I’m gonna need him to understand one thing about relationships. The give and take, love and sadness, pleasure and pain is a two-way street. He’s either in this with me or he’s not, but at the end of the day, I won’t let him boss me around.
If there’s anything that can handle the steel of a tank – it’s the heat of a blaze.

Second book in this amazing series. This one i was wanting to read so bad after reading the first one. I had to find out what happened between Tank and Blaze. These two were together in the first book but something came between them. Then a very bad accident happened and brought them back together. But was it enough to keep them together? I absolutely loved the chemistry between these two. Completely off the charts hot. Tank is one of these that will not break or back down but Blaze is the same way. Put these two together and you have some hotness that is out of control. I absolutely love all the characters in this book and cant wait to read more from them. So glad Tank and Blaze got their story.
Bring me characters like this more often! I love Tank and Blaze and their relationship! They are a real world couple with real world issues that make it work because they communicate! It’s not easy but they work hard for it and the outcome is beautiful!
I thought I loved Renegade until I got my hands on Tank.
I knew after book one I was going to love this series and the author doesn’t disappoint!
Tank & Blaze’s story is a second chance love but so much deeper. It explores their ups and downs thoroughly giving these characters depth so many lack.
This isn’t simple instalove, forgive and forget, these two have to explore everything that went wrong, secrets, their pasts and their expectations of their future in order to see if their second chance is going to end in happily ever after.
Trevor “Tank” I obviously adored, alpha, cop, protective. What’s not to love? He’s also a man who’s life has been turned upside down and it’s made him want to push to make things right in his life.
Blaze I loved to death. She’s fiery, take no crap and strong. Her life isn’t what she was groomed to be but she lives on her terms.
Her loyalty to Trevor, being by his side every step of the way and never wavering puts her in my top three favorite heroines. Her strength and stubbornness made her an amazing character.
I’m now anxious for the next book!
Never Let A Good Thing Pass You By..
It had been a few days since she and her partner had responded to that last call; but once she realized just who they were there for Blaze was left trying to hold herself together because she couldn’t fall apart
not now if she gave in he might not make it.
She and Trevor had had a serious something until he’d given her an ultimatum and being as tenacious and stubborn as him she made her choice.
But now Blaze couldn’t believe what seemed so relevant at the time didn’t matter anymore and if he was willing then so was she.
Trevor was clueless as to where he was or how he even got there but the agony he was in was all to real.
But once Blaze filled him in he had a sinking feeling which she finally confirmed that she was one of several people who had responded to that active scene.
Nevertheless he was improving enough for them to finally kick him loose but he’ll still need plenty of time to fully recover from all the trauma he’s suffered.
I can honestly say his sister totally blindsided me with her unusual request but okay so she may have made a few key points
as to why she should.
Yes I’m up for the challenge because on a good day that man can be obnoxious but on a bad? Yeah he’s a total…..
Being home should have been a good thing but there are fleeting moments of total madness when I wish I wasn’t.
She thinks she has to tip-toe around me so I’ll stay calm but it only makes want to
push all her buttons just to turn up her spicy temper.
But once she starts talking about lunch and meds promise to be good if she’ll take a nap with me.
Trevor is being his normal stubborn self but he wouldn’t take it easy on himself and I have to remind him he’s not some superhero; he doesn’t have super powers.
However once he finally gave in letting the meds do there job Trevor seemed more relaxed then he had in a long time.
So yes I’ll admit I’m the one who got a little handsy with him and boy oh boy once he woke up he was more then willing to play along I might have started it but he certainly finished me on a high note.
I know I’m being an insufferable jerk to everyone around me but I’m not willing to can it; I’m anxious about having to endure endless weeks of physical therapy because there are no guarantees.
So between the birth of my beautiful niece and my body healing were now get ready to celebrate Christmas.
And this year I’ll be attending Blaze’s family gathering which should be interesting then I’m taking my girl home to my family.
My parents are all about appearances, money, and social standing among there equally snobbish acquaintances who have some weird need to show each other up.
And just as Trevor and I finally arrive then I’m confronted by one parent who can’t see past his own upturned nose and his antiquated ideas of how I’m supposed to be some pampered princess.
But now I’m in one of my moods; I want to be naughty and revolt against them so I’ve decided to drag Trevor to my old bedroom because I’m dying to let him have me anyway he wants me.
However they still have plenty of issues between them that they really needed to work out before they had any chance of making to forever.
Tank & Blaze got together when he was on his way down a dark path. He’d been struggling w/ some emotional issues from his time in the military, and had some not-so-healthy coping mechanisms. Then he met Blaze, and got his act together. They had a good relationship, but ended up breaking up because he – despite having a dangerous job himself – couldn’t handle her life being in danger. This backstory all happens in Renegade’s book.
When we open w/ Tank, they’ve been avoiding each other for a few months, but Blaze is starting to realize how much she misses him. Then, both their worlds are upended by an accident, and their real story can begin.
I enjoyed getting to know these two throughout Trevor (Tank)’s recovery. There’s a lot of emotional opening up! Also, once he’s recovered enough, their tale gets STEAMY. The physical part of their relationship is very important to both of them, and is easier for them, but once they’re fully honest with each other emotionally, their passion is even better!
We also get to see a lot of Ryan (Renegade) & Whitney & the progression of their story from book 1. I love the family dynamics & also the glimpse we get into Havoc’s story, which is book 3.
: )
This second chance romance is about Tank and Blaze and how they deal with his accident to get to the other side. Both of their lives along with all the other characters change after Tanks accident. This has wonderful characters, a well written storyline that kept me devouring the pages. This will have you feeling so many emotions from beginning to end.

Not normally my cup of tea, but very nice story, not burdened with nonsense drama, great pace, quite touching. Best of all terrific character building and strength – and that is what reeled me in!!
The Moonshine Task force men are a force to be reckoned with, not because of the brute force of their jobs or because they are there to protect and serve their community but because it seems that each one of them have hearts of gold. In Renegade, Trevor was badly injured in an accident and we got a little glimpse of the relationship between him and Blaze, but this is their story so we get the backstory, their break up and their struggle for a second chance. Not only was Trevor affected by the accident but everyone around him was affected as well. This book is about the aftermath of this accident and how these two people grow up and become more open and honest with each other. Determined to get well enough to get back to work, Trevor, is having a little bit of a hard time. He endures all that he can so he can get better, and through it all Blaze is his rock. They start to work on building a better, healthier relationship, no more back and forth or push and pull, just totally honesty with one another. It was beautiful to see!
Sometimes it takes something tragic to open our eyes as to what is right in front of us.
This story was fun, emotional, and heart warming.
I really loved Renegade so it was always gonna be hard in my mind to top but Tank gave a good fight.
The second book in the Moonshine Task Force series was a different kind of read and story.
Trevor and Blaze had a relationship and due to Tank’s protectiveness of his gal, that fell apart after an incident that took place in the first book.
Tank continues from the accident Trevor had near the end of Renegade and it guides us from him being found in the truck, through his recovery and the re-connection between him and Blaze.
This pair loved each other even when apart so that is never an issue, their story is about learning to be a couple, trusting that things will be good (and bad), letting the one you love breathe and do the things they love, even if the worry about them is overwhelming at times!
Great to catch up with Ryan & Whit and seeing how things were going for them.
Hot, steamy, sweet, a little sad (and at one point I wanted to slap Trevor for his idiot thinking that he could make Blaze jealous) Tank was a good read and I enjoyed it.
I can’t wait for the 3rd book now that we’ve had a wee teaser of what’s to come in Havoc’s story!!
Tank gets 4*
This is the second book in The Moonshine Task Force series and can I just say DAMN!!!!!!!! This is an amazing story that had me on the edge of my seat in anticipation of what was going to happen next.
Tank is recovering from his car accident and he has time to think about everything that has happened to him. He knows that his recovery is going to be a long road and he is worried where he stands with the task force and Blaze. He knows he made a big mistake with Blaze but he wants another chance with her and he is willing to do anything to get her back and keep her. She is his world and he wants nothing more than to spend his life with Blaze.
Blaze is a beautiful and strong woman. She also is a no holds bar kind of woman with a smart mouth. She knows what she wants and she goes after it. She loves her EMT job and she also knows she loves Tank. With Tank hurt and needing help she goes to help him out. When she gets there she lets Tank know that she is there for him but he will have to work at their relationship because relationships are a two way street. He is going to have to give a little to get a little and this time it is for keeps because Blaze is not playing around with him and she will walk away and leave the one she loves in order to be respected and treated as an equal.
Can Tank change his ways to get his girl or will he lose the love of his life?
Tank begins right where Renegade leaves off. So we know this story is Tank’s and Blaze’s story. The strength these two give each other is unbelievably hot! What would have made a lesser person give up, these two prove just what unconditional love can do.
At the end of Renegade Tank was in a horrible accident and was going to have a very long road ahead of him. Blaze realized in this time that she loves him and they are meant to be together. They are both headstrong, stubborn, and loyal.
Blaze was not raised in a living and caring home like Tank was. We find out exactly why she stays clear of her family. Let me say I don’t blame her one bit! Her mother and father care more about appearances than their own flesh and blood.
I’m glad Tank finally pulled his head out of his ass and realizes that Blaze is perfect for him. Maybe that isn’t the right thing to say, because he knows he loves her, but it takes the accident for him to step up and take the bill but the horns.
We get to catch up with some of the other characters as well as baby Stella. I did like this story better than the first and am looking forward to the next in the series.
If you read Renegade then you know who Tank and Blaze are. Their story is here and you do not want to miss it. It’s about second chances and hoping that Tank and Blaze can find theirs. Tank has finally said he is going to fight for what he wants after facing a tragedy. Blaze is finally going to face her stubborness and go for what she wants after facing a tragedy. This story is all about these two getting their feelings sorted and putting the past in the past to be with each other. Blaze is a strong willed women and thinks she didn’t need a big ego man like Tank. He let his ego get in the way of their first time trying a relationship and she broke it off. Tragedy struck and made them both consider why they broke up in the first place. They are ready to fight and it is a great story to show you their intensity and love. I love them both and you will not be disappointed in getting to the bottom of what really happened between them.
We all have our secrets, some of them known, some of them not. When Tank and Blaze hook up, Tank looses his ever loving mind when Blaze’s life is in danger and tells her she needs to quit her job. I understand that he’s scared and upset but you just don’t blurt that out. Blaze tells him no in no uncertain terms that she’s not quitting. They keep going back and forth but one isn’t going to get their way.
When Tank gets hurt, Blaze is there for him every step of the way. Their love may be real but they have obstacles that they have to over come. Is Tank going to be the winner or is Blaze? Is there a chance that these two stubborn people can compromise? Can one make the other see that their way is meant to be????
Holy crap I’m loving this series! Love how we get to see the previous characters in all the books!
Renegade totally hooked me into this series. And this was a great book 2 of this series, cant wait to read about the rest of the members of the MTF
Trevor “Tank” Trumbolt and Daphne “Blaze” Coleman have tried to have a relationship but when her career put her in danger and Tank demands she quit she decided between her heart and her career. So when life happens and the only person he wants by his side is Blaze, how can she say no? No matter what has happened she still loves him but their path is not an easy one. Blaze won’t back down and neither will Tank and together they may combust, but what a way to go. Loved this story and the strength and vulnerability these characters show. Can’t wait to read the next book in this series. Definitely a MUST READ!
This is the second book in the Moonshine Task Force series and it doesn’t disappoint. I love second chance romance and the author does a great job providing a great story with just enough fun banter, sexy times, emotional situations and great feels.
Tank and Blaze are thrown into a situation that they will never forget. They had broken up six months ago over words that should never have been spoken and were deeply regretted when Tanks life was hanging in the balance. Blaze was on duty the day Tank was in a car accident and she can vividly remember it all and she is so thankful that she has the chance to give the relationship another try. Tank has no memory of the accident, but he is in for the long haul to get back to his former health and to get back the love of the woman that he knows is the love of his life.
This book takes you on the journey of a deep love that Tank and Blaze have for each other and the genuine want to repair the damage they did to their relationship. They are both stubborn and have tempers. They know they need to work through their differences on how the relationship moves forward. Blaze was Tank’s caregiver during his recovery and it was the best thing for them. They learned that there can be no holding back on their feelings and there can be no secrets between them. Their chemistry is smoking hot and they are so good together.
I loved Tank and Blaze’s story and I can’t wait for more.
Great read!!!!
