Montgomery Ink: Colorado Springs Book 1 The Montgomery Ink series continues with a spin-off in Colorado Springs, where a familiar Montgomery finds her place in a new tattoo shop, and in the arms of her best friend.
Adrienne Montgomery is finally living her dreams. She’s opened a tattoo shop with her brother, Shep, and two of her cousins from Denver and she’s ready to take the city by storm with … she’s ready to take the city by storm with her art—as long as she can handle the pressure. When her new neighbors decide her shop isn’t a great fit for the community, however, she’ll have to lean on the one person she didn’t expect to fall for along the way…her best friend.
Mace Knight takes pride in two things: his art and his daughter. He knows he’s taking a risk by starting over in a new shop with the Montgomerys, but the stakes are even higher when he finds himself wanting Adrienne more than he thought possible.
The two fall fast and hard but they know the rules; they can’t risk their friendship, no matter how hot it is between the sheets and how many people try to stand in their way.

Fallen Ink is the first book in the new series Montgomery Ink: Colorado Springs by Carrie Ann Ryan. In this series, you will meet Shep’s (Ink Inspired) three sisters and watch them find their HEA. If you liked the Denver Montgomery’s, you are going to love their cousins.
I absolutely loved this book; Adrienne and Mace are so perfect for each other. Both were a little stubborn at first not wanting this new step to ruin the friendship, but I think it made their relationship even better. Mace is a dirty talker and it SO HOT!! These two steamed up my iPad with their passion for one another. Mace‘s daughter Daisy is so cute and adorable! Loved the new and not so new characters added to this series, definitely want to see more of them.
Carrie Ann, you have done it again; you made me fall even more in love with your words. I would read a book about your cats’ life if you wrote the words. Can’t wait to see what comes about in Thea and Dimitri’s book. But just the small glimpse into Roxie and Carter relationship, has me think not good things!
**As always highly recommend this book and Carrie Ann’s entire collection. She is a TOP 5 MUST READER AUTHOR OF MINE!!!!**
Wow.. just wow. When Andrienne and Mace decide to take their friendship to the next level they do so with the impact of the eye of the storm they just ran from. But dang they do so with years of built up feels they tried to deny. Can their friendship take them through the trails life is about to throw them or will they be over just as quick as a storm passing?
Every time I open one of the Montgomery Ink novels I feel as if I have come back to friends and on the way to meeting new ones. Now that I get to travel to a different state with them in this one it centers around Adrienne and Mace. She with her brother have opened up a shop but trouble comes through the door. The intrigue will weave its way through this off and on all the way through until you discover a answer to it. Mace gets a surprise also with it being one that changes things alot but rich rewards. When the two go at it together since best friends they are things grow before your eyes with heat that fuses the way. All in all a great way to transport to be with great people who give you a great story that they live.
When I started reading I couldn’t put it down I read the book in one day.Carrie is magnifysent writer.I cannot wait to read more of her books.Keep up the great work. You should definitely read this book.
Montgomery Ink: Colorado Springs #1, New spin-off series this time following the cousins of the original Montgomery family, we start off with Adrienne. Shep is back in Colorado and has opened Montgomery Ink Too, MIT for short, with his sister Adrienne. Adrienne of course hires her best friend and fellow tattoo artist, Mace Knight. I love that the dynamic between the two, Mace and Adrienne, shifts so dramatically and even though they are still friends they become more in the matter of seconds, and how they deal with it afterwards is the best. There are two other plots going on the same time Adrienne and Mace are trying to figure out their relationship and one of those is Mace’s daughter, Daisy so freakin’ cute. Mace has to suddenly switch gears from a part-time Dad to a full time dad when his baby’s momma chooses her career over her daughter. The other sub plot being someone in town does not want the Montgomery’s there and keeps trying to get them closed down. That ends rather abruptly…or does it? I don’t know, I’m speculating at this point but I can see that as a continuing theme throughout this series.
Overall, Adrienne and Mace their romance is a little smoother than some of the other relatives but them trying to figure out where they stand with each other now especially with Daisy in the picture is such a great story complete with humor, some heartache and a beautiful HEA. Carrie Ann Ryan does it again with a fantastic story, beautiful characters inside and out; it was a good start to this series.
I can not believe how much I loved this book. I have always liked Carrie Ann Ryan’s writing, but I have to say that with this book, she surpassed any other.
Loving The Montgomerys.Loving this new ink series.Addis and Mace amazing beautiful love story very well written. Love the familer faces.Craving more.So ready for book 2
I received a free copy of this book from the author.
Fallen Ink is the first book in the spin off of the Montgomery Ink series into the new Montgomery Ink: Colorado Springs. If you’re new to the Montgomery’s this is a good start. You’ll meet best friends Mace and Adi. Adi and her brother own this new tattoo parlor in Colorado Springs and Mace is one of the artists.
These two have been best friends their entire adult lives. Through thick and thin they’ve been there for each other, but never seen the other as more than a friend. Until now.
It’s always a toss up whether or not you’ll ruin a friendship by taking it to the next level. In this case there’s also a child involved. Mace has just taken over full time custody of his daughter. With all the changes in his life he’s struggling with wrapping his head around it. Adi is there to help but there’s only so much she can do. Sometimes you just have to let the person figure their mess out themselves.
I enjoyed reading this book. There’s a bit of drama with the shop as well as in the romantic relationship. I hope you enjoy Mace and Adi’s story as well.
Brand new adventures for a whole new set of Montgomerys! As much as I loved the Denver Montgomerys, and wanted them all to find their HEA, I was reluctant to see the series end. And then, I found out there are more! This book begins the series of the Colorado Springs Montgomerys, who are cousins to the Denver Montgomerys, and Shep’s sisters (Shep from Ink Inspired, which began the Montgomery Saga!) This made my day! I was totally overjoyed!
This book focuses on Adrienne and Mase. They are best friends (their relationship reminds me a lot of Maya and Jake). At the beginning of the book, Adrienne and Shep are partnering in a new tattoo shop, a sort of “franchise” of MI. Mase also took the leap, following Adrienne from the shop they worked at together, to her new shop. He is also a single father.
This book is all about friendship, and how it can change into….more. It has that slow burn that all of a sudden explodes when you least expect it. This is totally one of the hottest books I’ve read recently! Adrienne and Mase are…..indescribable. There is so much angst in this story, my heart hurts for them. They have an amazing relationship as friends, and I can’t imagine the leap of faith it would take to move from that to something else.
Mase is a hardworking, loyal, stand up guy. He is an amazing father, dependable friend, and always there for Adrienne. Adrienne, on the other hand, is a tough cookie! Strong, brave, and everything I want to be when I grow up! She is always putting others needs and wants ahead of hers.
This story totally blew my mind. I was excited about the concept of following the Montgomery family from city to city, before I began reading. After reading Adrienne and Mase’s story, I am eagerly anticipating the rest of the sibling’s stories! This was a fantastic continuation of the Montgomerys and everything I’ve come to expect from Carrie Ann Ryan! Another wonderful story that focuses on romance, family, and ink!
I just loved this first book in this Montgomery Ink spinoff. Adrienne and Mace’s romance is a friends to lovers story. The book is of course very well written, has a solid, compelling plot and the characters are complex. The sizzling attraction between Addie and Mace has been simmering underneath their friendship for years. Now, they decide to take the risk while still struggling to retain their friendship. With sweetness, humor, drama, passion, family, friends, and love, this book is a five star read! I am posting a voluntary, honest review after reading this book.
Sometimes love surprises you because you’ve already fallen…
Maybe it’s true a man and a woman can’t be friends and not get sexy. Adrienne and Mace have been through thick and thin with each other and still maintained their best friends only status. Will adding sex to the equation ruin that relationship? I love that in this book we really get to know these characters their hopes, dreams, and ambitions. You’re right there with them feeling their emotions. We also are introduced to a new set of supporting characters. You just want to immerse your self in this “world”, become part of the family.
ARC – I voluntarily offered to review this book with no obligations and my opinions are honest
I loved that Adrienne + Mace were friends first.
That means that they knew what kind of baggage they would be bringing to the party.
They seems so good together.
It was sort of like they knew they would end up together.
Even with all the problems that they are facing, they are stronger when they are together.
It was lovely to see they progress from friends to lovers and to much more than lovers.
I loved the storytelling + the characters
The storytelling + the character’s build were awesome!
Tattoo artists Adrienne & Mace are a friends to lovers tale. They both want each other & have a lot of tension before they clash. Addi & Mace have a chemistry that sizzles off the pages. Mace tries to push Addi away, but her Montgomery stubbornness won’t let him. This is a must read for Montgomery Universe fans.
Montgomery Ink is one of my favorite series and I am so excited for this spinoff!! Mace and Addi’s story was a fun, sexy friends to lovers story. It also introduced a bunch of new characters that I hope get stories too!!
This is the first book in the Colorado Springs series – a sort of spin off/continuation of Montgomery Ink. If you’ve read the Montgomery Ink series, these are the cousins that live in Colorado Springs, we’ve met Shep the oldest and only brother of this group in Ink Inspired (technically the 1st book in M. Ink). All of the books can be read individually, without having read any of the other series or books in the series. If you haven’t read any of the other books, there are little blips that might entice you to read the other books but still not necessary to understand the current book.
Adi has just opened Montgomery Ink Too (MIT) a partnership with her brother Shep, and Cousins from Denver Austin & Maya, but before they’ve even officially opened they already have someone trying to warn them away – not wanting a tattoo shop to damage the image of the neighborhood. Mace & Adi have been best friends for a long time and he has followed her to MIT as one of the new artists. The two are thrown even closer when they face the challenges of Mace becoming a full time parent, and someone trying to take down the tattoo shop.
I thought that this was a great opener to the new series. Adi & Mace have great chemistry together and they already have a great foundation, having been friends for so long, you can only see this relationship going one way. Of course every relationship (and great love story) has its ups & downs, and sometimes those are of the characters own making, but that’s what makes such a great story.
Would I read it again – Definitely … In fact I see myself starting over from the beginning just to remember all the details that I have forgotten over the last few years
Would I recommend this book to a friend – Absolutely … Its a great read, entertaining, a keeps you waiting for what comes next.
Can’t wait for #2 to see what happens with Thea!!!
Addi and Mace’s story is a great friends to lovers tale. Mace and Addi have been best friends and when they cross over to being lovers there are lots of complications to work out. Mace being a single dad, and suddenly sole parent, is one of the major issues they need to deal with. There is lots of heat, lots of tension, a few tears and a mystery to solve. Of course there is a happy ending and it is always nice to visit with the Montgomery’s.
