Avery Harper hasn’t dated in two years. After losing her fiancé during his deployment, she chose to stay away from men and the games they play. That worked great until she met Jae Drachen. He overwhelms her senses from the moment she meets him. It has her wondering if love at first sight truly exists. The more time she spends with Jae, the more she believes it does.Jae wants Avery. He’s built a … He’s built a corporate empire through years of all work and no play. That never bothered him until now. He’s finally met a woman who makes him feel alive; he no longer wants to wait for his marked mate to appear. What he feels for Avery is stronger than what any mate mark could create for someone else.
That all changes when another woman shows up. One who’s dreamed of Jae and has a mate mark. He’ll give up anything, including his dragon and long life, if it means keeping Avery. He’d sacrifice his life for her, but she loves him too much to let him destroy himself for her. She’d rather he be with someone else and living than dying because of her.
Note to readers: This is a hot, action-packed, fun adventure of dragon love, babies, sassy women, dirty-talking alpha males and enough heat it will make you take a couple of cold showers. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

Fantastic read. Highly recommend to all.
A Drachen wants his mate and Jae is so tired of waiting for his that when Avery comes into his life he grabs hold & he decides to not wait any longer. The Noir have other plans though and attack hoping to kill the mates and decimate the Drachen. Family will come from far away to protect and teach the new dragonlings.
A good enjoyable read that provided me with some much needed switch off time.
With two of his brothers happily mated and having children, Jae is feeling the lack of a mate even more depressing.
Avery lost her fiancé’ two years previously and has not dated since.
Fate introduces these two when Avery applies for a job at Jae’s hotel chain.
Avery and Jae have a healthy dose of lust and feelings for each other from their first meeting.
But with Avery not having a mate mark and another woman turning up who does have the mate mark who has dreamed of Jae, will they have to pass on this chance for love and family with each other.
The strain of waiting to see what the future holds is well strung out and I loved the scene at the hospital fund raiser with Phillip, it bought tears to my eyes. His parents should be horsewhipped.
Once again the wicked witch Sylvana and the Noir cause problems trying to kill possible mates. Has the witch been vanquished this time???
Poor Ker, still no sign of a mate for him.
Loved the comment regarding the photo and the Titanic. So cool. I also liked the way the sexual harassment was dealt with. Good policy.
This is my honest review of this book.
Even though I like this one. It’s wasn’t as good as the other book in the series. It felt very rush, especially through the ending part with the girls. There were lots of holes in the story. I mean when did Jae explained or share with Avery the mean of a mate mark?? Why didn’t Avery tell Jae she had a strange mark?? No one took the time to explain to Avery what it takes to be a Drachen mate. Also why wasn’t she tagged as one??? I felt bad for Hannah I couldn’t understand why she was throwing in the mix. Jae was jerk to Hannah I mean he did try to make nice with her but I didn’t like that he was trying to push her on his brother with out considering his brother Ker or Hannah feelings. I was also confused about Hannah mate I mean I like the mystery surrounding him so does that mean that was the ending to Hannah story?? Let’s talk about the elders Nana… She was interesting but I wanted more background information on her and come on we all know she didn’t come on her own. So what does that mean for this series. Overall entertaining read. I voluntarily read and review this ARC no monetary compensation was received the opinions I have expressed are my own.
Keep them coming Milly, love your books!
