Logan St. James is a smoldering, sexy beast. Sure, he can be a little broody at times – but Ellie Hammond’s willing to overlook that. Because, have you seen him??Sexy. As. Hell. And Ellie’s perky enough for both of them. For years, she’s had a crush on the intense, protective royal security guard – but she doesn’t think he ever saw her, not really. To Logan, Ellie was just part of the job – a … just part of the job – a relative of the royal family he’d sworn to protect. Now, at 22 years old and fresh out of college, she’s determined to put aside her X-rated dreams of pat-downs and pillow talk, and find a real life happily ever after.
The Queen of Wessco encourages Ellie to follow in her sister’s footsteps and settle down with a prince of her own. Or a duke, a marquis.. a viscount would also do nicely.
But in the pursuit of a fairy tale ending, Ellie learns that the sweetest crushes can be the hardest to let go.
Logan St. James grew up on the wrong side of the tracks, in a family on the wrong side of the law. But these days, he covers his tattoos and scars with a respectable suit. He’s handsome, loyal, brave, skilled with his hands and… other body parts.
Any woman would be proud to bring him home to her family.
But there’s only one woman he wants.
For years he’s watched over her, protected her, held her hair back when she was sick, taught her how to throw a punch, and spot a liar.
He dreams of her. Would lay down his life for her.
But beautiful Ellie Hammond’s off-limits.
Everybody knows the bodyguard rules:
Never lose focus, never let them out of your sight, and never, ever fall in love.

Royally Endowed was one of the funniest books I’ve read in a long time. I swear people must’ve thought I was nuts since I would randomly just start laughing out loud. Logan has been Ellie’s bodyguard for years. She’s had a crush on him from the moment their eyes met. It’s not until Logan is faced with losing Ellie forever that he finally gives in to his feelings. Ellie and Logan get to build a relationship over the years by spending time together without their attraction being front and center. That’s one of the things I liked most about them as a couple. While this could be read as a stand alone I don’t understand why anybody would want to skip Nicholas or Henry’s books. With this being what I assume is the last book in the series I loved getting glimpses of the other royals. I also appreciated them having such a sweet epilogue that gives them their happily ever after and wraps up the series nicely.
The third book in Emma Chase’s perfect Royally series gave me everything I could have wanted and then some. There’s a delightfully slow burning and forbidden, explosive romance. There’s mystery and intrigue. And there’s also so much love and affection between Logan St. James and Ellie Hammond that I couldn’t help but swoon on a regular basis.
There are so many things I adore about this book, but my favorite part is how slow the slow burn is. Because it takes place over several years, Royally Endowed really takes the time to explore the growth of the relationship between Ellie and Logan. Their relationship goes from a business one and a one sided crush to a true friendship built on mutual respect before ever becoming truly romantic, which just helps make the affection they have for each other feel so honest and believable. This isn’t a short term infatuation. They have spent a significant portion of their days together for years; they really know each other down to their core. So when they do finally end up together, the emotion and sexual tension is just explosive and also feels like coming home.
The pairing of Logan and Ellie seemed a little odd to me at first, mostly just because of the obvious age difference between them. But once Chase really explored their relationship and the depth of their feelings for each other, I was absolutely sold. Logan is the consummate protector. He would literally die for Ellie, and not just because it’s his job. There’s something very romantic about that, but more than that, it says so much about Logan and his loyalty towards those people that matter the most to him. And I loved that while Ellie did occasionally need saving, she was just as strong willed and fierce as Logan, making her an excellent match for him in a romantic relationship. Being the protector wasn’t just a one-way street, it was just as important for Ellie to feel like she could save Logan. They felt like the kind of couple that you really could see having a happily ever after.
Royally Endowed by Emma Chase (Audiobook)
Narrated by: Shane East, Andi Arndt
Series: The Royally Series #3
4.5 Stars – Flirty, fun and such and easy listen! I enjoyed coming back to Wesco and seeing the Royals. I had forgotten how much I wanted to see Ellie and Logan get together. They make a cute couple and I loved that we got to see how long Logan could fight his attraction for her. Great addition to the series.
As always, Shane East and Andi Arndt did a fantastic job with Narration.. Though I have to say Mr. East’s voice reminds me of someone (an actor maybe?) and I just can’t place it. I drives me batty.. In a good way haha!
If you haven’t read this series, I highly recommend it.
~Paragraphs and Petticoats~
There was a moment while reading Royally Screwed that I had to stop reading and pull up Goodreads to see which characters would get the next two books in the Royally series. I was only vaguely excited for Henry’s book — yet wound up loving it — but I straight up yelped and cheered when I saw Logan and Ellie would be paired up in Royally Endowed. There was something about the chemistry between them that had me shipping them from the start. Waaaaay before I probably should’ve been, to be honest. I loved knowing they would be end game and I was very much looking forward to their story. And guess what? It was everything I wanted and more.
Ellie and Logan had this great slow burn thing going on and this book covers quite a span in time. I’m not usually big on when there are large jumps in time while I’m reading, but it worked really well here. I feel like they had to advance it some for it to feel “right” to root for Ellie and Logan. It was delightful to watch how they grew — and how things grew between them — from bodyguard to friend to much more. The whole progression just felt so real. I was so here for it, too.
While I loved each of the couples in the Royally series, there was just something special about Ellie and Logan and their story. Maybe it was because we knew them for such a long time in book world? Or maybe it was just because they were who they were. The Duchess’s little sister and one of the Duke’s body guards? The one who just happened to be keeping her safe, too? Perfection. I couldn’t get enough of their chemistry and banter in the beginning, innocent as it was at the time, and loved the passion later even more so.
I love the woman Ellie became during this series. Logan was super freaking swoony and amazing, too. Together they were basically perfect. Their story was so sweet and fun and sexy, with all the feels I want in my reading. I loved it so much. I can’t wait to see what comes next in this series!
FAVORITE QUOTES
I love caffeine. Love it. The high, the rush, the feeling that I’m Wonder Woman’s long-lost cousin and there ain’t shit I can’t do.
Somebody once told me a slow-burning fire is the hottest—and it must be true. Because Logan and I are a fucking inferno.
“I’ll give it to you sweet, Ellie. I swear I’ll make it so fucking sweet you’ll ache… but now I just… I need…”
Life changes us, with its twists and turns, in ways we don’t always see coming. It changes what we want, what we dream, lays blessings in our hands better than anything we could’ve imagined.
Yes! I have returned to a world of Emma Chase’s creation. Royally Endowed is the third in the Royally series by Ms Chase. Her signature snark and humor is as evident in this one as it is in all her other books. While Tangled remains my favorite series, this one has definite potential to rival it.
After Prince Nicholas abdicated the throne to marry Olivia, a baker from NYC, in Royally Screwed, they return to Wessco to raise their family. The Prince and Princess of Wessco are torn. While they love living in NYC, they know that there’s no way they can protect their children as well there as they can in Wessco where they’ll be behind walled fences with an entire protection duty. Sure, they’ve got the private protection in NYC, but there’s no way they can be as secluded as they are in Wessco. The only problem? Princess Olivia’s sister and father still need protection from the crazies while running their charity restaurants in NYC. The only solution? Leave behind Logan and Tommy along with a couple of other guys. And that’s when the trouble (fun?) begins.
To be fair, the trouble probably began the minute Ellie and Logan laid eyes on one another. You don’t technically have to read the previous two books to enjoy their story, but since it actually begins in Royally Screwed and continues in Royally Matched, it’s more enjoyable if you do. There are subtle little things that you’ll miss if you haven’t read the other books. As always, Emma Chase weaves a story that is pure entertainment and a pleasure to read.
Great series, Fell in love with the characters.
I’ve enjoyed the previous books, but for me, Royally Endowed has definitely been the best of the series. I loved both of the leads. Ellie is the little sister of the girl who married a prince. Logan is a body guard for the royal family. He has been stationed over Ellie for awhile. This storyline backs up a bit to some of the time periods during the other two books. Ellie is finishing high school, and Logan and Ellie are getting to know each other. She crushes on him and he pretends he doesn’t notice. It’s very cute. I like that Ellie isn’t the quiet little virgin and Logan isn’t the bad boy. They’re just regular humans, with very irregular connections (the royal family). Over the years, a romance becomes undeniable. It’s sweet, but it’s also realistic in the fact that they can’t just lah-di-dah off into the sunset. There are life decisions to be sorted first. It’s a mix of fairy tale and real life. Contemporary romance fans should check this out.
Logan is no Prince Charming, but he comes pretty close. He’s a lover, a protector and fighter. As Ellie discovers, loving him is anything but easy, yet she can’t seem to help herself. With Royally Endowed, Emma Chase gives readers the sweetness of a fairy tale, the thrill of adventure and the heat of an erotic novel. Ms. Chase makes sure that readers never give up the fantasy while delivering a taste of real love.
