4.5 stars for this amazing story!
Don’t forget these books pick up at the end of the prior installment. So, don’t miss out on reading books 1 and 2.
Dex and Perry finally spend some time outside of work and the tension growing between them is driving me mad!!! Perry is still hiding her feelings and love for this man and I can’t take it anymore. Gah, this third job Dex and Perry are sent on has been the most challenging as they are stranded on an island of the coast with vengeful ghosts. But that ending makes their whole trip well worth it. Nothing like testing the limits of life and death!
* I need more audiobooks! Jo Raylan is a phenomenal narrator.
D like DEX and life IS PERFECT. I wanna have him for my own…. excitement hihi
This adventure is getting only better and better! With every next book Mrs. Halle gives me more goosebumps… more secrets to find out…. and made me me feel that I’m definitely not alone in my bookish world – and U’m. not talking here about friends or bookish boyfriends “wink wink”.
I’ve seen a lot of scary movies in my adult life but Dead Sky Morning, just like the previous books in EIT sserties, is this thing that I haven’t experienced in my life.
Mrs. Halle wity Dex and Perry have taken me into unknown breathtaking places. They are scary and very visual but also addictive and mind blowing ! Mrs. Halle is making me feel everything, just like a master story teller.
I can’t stop my adventure with this series – I need more. With every next paige my hunger is bigger. It’s time for anoter Derry book in my life, right????
MUST READ TITLE!!!
This book was even more creepier than the previous two. What I love most about this series is the pace of the story, and especially the pace of the character development. Because this is a series of nine books, the author can really take her time to really develop the characters as individuals and partners. Karina isn’t rushing through anything, and that makes me enjoy the story so much more. Like I mentioned before I really love that romance is in the background and isn’t the most essential part in the books. I loved learning about what happened on D’Arcy Island. Karina has a way of creeping me out, she did such a great job with this book.
Also Dex and Perry are very intriguing and complex characters. I really enjoy getting to know them better, and especially Dex, because the book is told completely from Perry’s POV. So there were a couple of secrets told from both sides, and that made the bond between them stronger. They really care for each other, even though some ugly things were said in this book. At the end of the day, they can really depend on each other. Haven’t read about such an awesome duo in a long time.
What can I say that has not been said before. Dex and Perry have a chemistry that leaps off the pages and makes you root for them whatever situation they find themselves in.
This time they are heading to D’Arcy Island, a former leper colony where the occupants were sent to fend for themselves. The history of the Island is sparse since no one was left to tell the true story of what happened there. And in true Dex and Perry style they stir up the locals (ghosts) and find themselves trapped and turning on each other.
I have truly fallen in love with this series and am playing catch up as fast as I can. It is scary, romantic, frenzied, and just downright mesmerizing.
