Some risks are scarier than others because they’re the most important ones we’ll ever undertake… country’s most prestigious Law Schools.
His motto is: he can’t depend on anyone but himself. He doesn’t believe in love—little of it has ever been shown to him. However, a chance meeting with the enigmatic Jax begins to change all of that. Jax is handsome, fun to be around and makes Ty feel special. Still, Tyler won’t take this for more than it is—two guys blowing off a little sexual steam together. That, he can handle.
He and Jax are way too different and at far opposing stages in their lives to ever last beyond an intense fling…but surprisingly there are times when Ty wishes that wasn’t the case. He won’t, however, let himself believe in someone again only to be disappointed and used.
Ty logically knows that when it comes to relationships, happily ever after doesn’t exist for him…but if anyone is going to get him to question his resolve and take a chance he’s willing to bet it will be the gorgeously brilliant Jaxon.
Jaxon Markham has it all. He was born with a silver spoon in his mouth. He has a wonderful family, a satisfying, stimulating career and more money than he’ll ever be able to spend. The one thing missing is someone special to share it all with. Enter Tyler Johnson—a gorgeous man whom Jax quickly learns doesn’t believe in love. After one date, Jax makes it his mission to prove Tyler wrong, because in this man who holds his abused heart safely locked away, Jax quickly realizes he’s found his soulmate. Ty insists he isn’t looking for anything permanent, but that’s too bad because Jax certainly is, and he’s also doggedly determined when he wants something, which Ty will soon found out.
No matter how long it takes, Jax intends to prove to Tyler that some things are worth the risk of opening up one’s heart.

Independent reviewer for Archaeolibrarian, I was gifted my copy of this book.
Tyler and Jax meet in the club that Tyler works in, Infinity. Their reaction to each is is instant and powerful. Then Tyler finds out just who Jax is, and he fights the attraction. And just when they get back on an even keel, something else pushes Tyler to question whether he is really worth the risk to Jax.
For the most part, I enjoyed this. There were a couple a lines, and phrases that kept popping up that kept it from getting the full five stars, though. Not listing them here, either cos they is wude, and some site are a little prudish in what you are allowed to say!
I loved that Jax goes all in, right from the start, making his feelings known, that Ty is really worth his time and effort, and he says those magic words early, with I don’t usually like. HOWEVER, Jax makes it clear that while HE said them, Tyler can say them when he is ready, even if Jax knew how Tyler really felt at that point. Cos Jax can read Ty like the books he writes!
Ty takes some time, to word how he feels, though. He isn’t sure when Jax will dump him, that’s what he expects to happen. It takes time for Ty to really see that maybe, just maybe, Jax will stick around.
I did expect a couple of certain character to make trouble, but they don’t. Someone else does that! Loved that Jax’ family take on Tyler as a second son.
Apart from the repetitive phrases, it’s very well written, from both guys plus another’s point of view. These guys are at it like bunnies, and it’s very explicit. Very much to my liking after several not so explicit books
A solid 4 star read.

3.5 stars
The romance between Ty and Jax is sugary sweet and scorching hot. There is some angst as this pair get their footing in the relationship, but issues are overcome quickly – maybe a bit too quickly given the length of the book, but that aside, there’s no denying the chemistry between these two and they are so good together. The author certainly knows how to write a heat filled scene, but the sheer number of those scenes is what kept this one from moving into four or even five star range for me. That falling in love, new relationship, can’t keep your hands off each other time is a beautiful thing and it is shown here in spades, but it reached a point that it felt like there was more steam than story. I’ll admit that after a few of those scenes, I started skimming those parts to get back to the meat of the story, especially when there were several pages of steam. Even for the most madly in love, not every encounter is going to be a rock your world marathon, and in that, this one went a little over the top. The saving grace and what kept me turning pages lay in the characters and their interactions. In addition to Ty and Jax, there are several interesting characters throughout the story and I found myself chuckling more than once at the witty banter between them. The author is certainly talented and I’ll be interested to see where this series goes and what’s to come for Brandon and Simon.
Tyler and Jaxon meet at Infinity, a Gay Gentlemen’s Club, where Tyler works. Tyler isn’t looking for forever, he just wants someone for a night. Jaxon isn’t really concerned about find his forever either, he isn’t in a rush. They connect, and slowly get to know each other. By the time they become Ty and Jax they have already started a relationship that neither was expecting.
Ty fights getting close to Jax. His past wasn’t pretty. He’s had to work hard for everything in his life. His ex was a closeted and their breakup was painful. His life was falling into place, his earnings at the club are paying for his schooling. He is in no way ready for the man that sweeps him off his feet.
Jax has had a golden life. A perfect, wealthy family that accepted his being gay, a very successful career. He falls hard for Ty. Now he just has to convince the man that they are worth the risk.
The sex was hot and there is a lot of sex! The roadblocks in the relationship sometimes seemed unnecessary. It’s a long book and seemed to drag in a few places, but I enjoyed it and would recommend it.
