Delilah Palmer has always maintained control of her life and outward personality, blocking the truth that’s just below the surface. Using a façade meant to be normal and hide the scars of her childhood, she’s made a good life for herself. Becoming a successful lawyer, she is finally free from the tortured past that haunts her daily. Until he comes along and breaks open the cracks.
Nathan Thorne …
Nathan Thorne has a haunted past of his own. On the surface, he is personable, extroverted, and loved by everyone; everything Delilah isn’t. However, hidden beneath his charming smile is a dark and tormented man that only Delilah has the power to unveil.
Forced into a small office together, they begin to see through each other’s masks, and the magnetic attraction ignites an explosive relationship. Their firm, Holloway and Holloway Law, has a strict non-fraternization policy, forcing them to conceal their breach. But despite their efforts, separation becomes impossible, deceptions escalate, and Nathan begins to teeter on the edge of being overtaken by his past demons.
What dark secrets does Nathan harbor that stop him from giving in, and what is it that keeps him from healing and moving forward? And more importantly, where does Delilah fit into his turmoil? Will they be able to accept love and deal with all the trials that develop as their secrets are exposed, or will they fall through the cracks of their pasts and be consumed by all that haunts them?

Where do I even start? I loved re-reading this book and getting the chance to re-read the rest of this series. Breach was one of the first books I read when I started reading romance again. It introduced me to office entanglements and erotica. It also gave me my first tortured hero. Nathan Thorne was damaged and broken and he owned me right from …
Lila was getting a new office mate. She didn’t know it would the handsome Nathan. All the girls made point of seeing him on a daily basis. But that one night changed everything between Nathan and Lila. It changed so much they were with each as much as possible. Even snuck away at times. Lila’s life will change completely how will she cope.
Great series. Wish there was more.
Really fell in love with this book
Great read, steamy details and good storyline
Had to get bok 2 in the series! Keeps you on the edge, always wanting to know what happens next!
Wish it was not a cliffhanger
I really, really, wanted to like this book, but for some reason it just didn’t click with me. Could have been the mood I was in while reading it, who knows. I do love the genre of erotica, but I also like a little dialogue to go along with the sex.
Nathan Thorne and Delilah Palmer (Lila) are two contract attorneys who happen to share an office. …
Did not really like the series.
This has a cliffhanger ending to get you to buy the next book. A large percent of the book is sex scenes instead of the story.
This book is riveting and an emotional ride. The characters are intense and seem to bring out the best in each other. It does not have a happy ending, and I have not yet been able to pick up the sequel..as this book was almost too intense. But I will have to read the second book..just to find out what happens.
Before you buy, though, know that you are left hanging and have to buy the next one.
I thought both Delilah and Nate’s characters were a bit “out there”, but they did manage to make it work for them.
Beware it’s part of a series! But worth it

Review:
It has been a while when I first read this book. I think …
Gah! This ended on one hell of a cliffy. Nathan and Lila have severely messed up pasts. I’m really intrigued by Nathan, you don’t really know what’s going on with him. You get snippets here and there, but nothing concrete. He keeps warning Lila that he’s not good for her. I’m moving on to the next book to not only get past this cliffy, but I want …
I wanted to like this book. I really did. The story was great. Had many elements that I like but I hated the characters. I could not get myself to like Lila. She had a pet peeve of mine. The hero, Nathan, wasn’t bad I just wasn’t attracted to him. Oh well guess I’ll be in the minority.
Wow, what a story! It was intense and very emotional. I look forward to listening/reading the rest of this series. I definitely recommend this book and this author.
