The Friday Night Brides are back! And this time, it’s their first season running the business! It was one thing to just model in a weekly fashion show, it’s quite another to be the ones calling the shots and making future brides’ dreams come true. Their first client has them wondering if they’re really prepared for their new roles! The Bride: Julianne is big on fitness, small on patience. And … patience. And planning her wedding is grating on her every last nerve. As a Zumba instructor, she loves the freedom to create and choreograph her routines and help others achieve their goals, but having to stand back and let others choreograph her big day has her wanting to hip-hop toward eloping!
The Matron of Honor: As the only married member of the bridal party, Natalie considers herself the aficionado on all-things weddings. And even though her time in the spotlight is over, that doesn’t mean she isn’t full of ideas on how her best friend’s wedding should look and feel and be! And it doesn’t take long for her to realize that maybe it’s not so much that she’s wanting to help as it is that she’s afraid of her own honeymoon ending.
The Bride’s Sister: Nothing screams unwanted relationship advice than when your younger sister gets married before you. It’s not that Harper doesn’t want to get married, after three failed engagements she really does! But finding the right man to walk down the aisle with is proving harder than she thought. And it gets even harder when constantly being compared to the perfect couple!
The Reluctant Bridesmaid: There is nothing Kayla wants more than to see one of her best friend’s get married…if only the whole process wasn’t so exhausting! Travel and adventure and being on the go fuels her. Having to stay in one place for an extended period of time while wearing taffeta? Not so much. Her job tends to take her away on a moment’s notice and this is one time she may have to pass up the trip of a lifetime in the name of friendship.

Okay, so this was fun AND different . There’s actually four little stories going on in this book and they all intertwine into each other. The book is not very long so one would think that maybe something would slip or lack but it DID NOT … #fabulous
This is a very tight group of people that will bring you joy and happiness as you read this book. Their chemistry as a group was ridic and as couples sooooooo lovely! Their friendship stands the test of time and drama!
I’m not one to give away a book in a review, but ohhhhhhhhhhhh, the wedding !! **happy sigh**
Well done. I look forward to reading a lot more in this series!
I have conflicted feelings about this book. On the one hand, I really enjoyed the story. It was very interesting, fun with a lot going on. On the other hand, it was not what I would consider a true romance, it’s more of a women’s fiction story. The focus of the story is the tensions and all the other emotions that go along with planning a wedding. Each of woman (4) is in someway dealing with their own crisis in their lives while helping the bride stay focused on the wedding plans. What I enjoyed was the friendships between the women and how they were there for each other no matter what. The storytelling was realistic and heartfelt and had me rooting for each women’s HEA!
At times I thought the author was a little too “cutesy” with an over the top bridalshop and characters that couls be annoying at times. But. i couldnt stop reading it.
Samantha Chase has done it again! The Bridal Squad is the story of four friends and a wedding. You have the bride, Julianne. She’s a fitness instructor who likes the idea of a wedding but not all the decisions that go into it & her lack of control. Her sister, Harper, is the maid of honor & will do anything to make this wedding perfect for her sister, including dealing with her mother constantly putting her down. Apparently Harper has been engaged three times & her mother won’t let her forget that. The bridesmaids are characters in their own right. Natalie just got married & is in the “honeymoon” stage. She can’t help bringing up what she had at her wedding & taking over the maid of honor duties. Kayla is a photographer that takes off at a moments notice to her jobs. Julianne is stressing that something will happen & Kayla won’t be at the wedding.
This is a story of four friends that think they are close but as they work through this together, they grow closer. Ms. Chase manages to emphasis that appearances are not always 100% accurate & someone else’s life is not always better. The plot line engages your emotions & takes you on a rollercoaster of feelings. I laughed, cried, felt the hurt & passion. I loved such a diverse group & their interactions. The men fit with the women perfectly even though you wondered at times. The four romances intertwined perfectly with the men developing tight friendships too. The supporting characters added realistic touches & helped your emotions get even more involved. Every time I thought I knew where the writer was going with a plot line, she put in a twist. I have never disliked a character as much as I disliked Julianne & Harper’s mother, especially with the revelation towards the end. I can’t wait to see what Ms. Chase does with Book 3!!
easy to read…a fast read….enjoyed it ..just like the first one
