Sadie Townsend is known by all as The Ice Princess and she’s worked hard to earn her reputation. Her father, a now-incarcerated Drug Lord, has kept her under his thumb her whole life and she’s learned enough from living in his world to give everyone the cold shoulder. But one inebriated night, she shows the Real Sadie to the undercover agent she knows is investigating her father, the handsome … Hector Chavez, and he knows he’ll stop at nothing to have her.
Hector makes one (huge) mistake; he waits for Sadie to come to him. Tragedy strikes and Sadie’s got a choice, she can retreat behind her Ice Fortress or she can embrace the Rock Chick/Hot Bunch World. Guided by Hector, the Rock Chicks, the Hot Bunch and her new gay roommates, Buddy and Ralphie, Sadie negotiates a life out from under her father’s thumb, a life that includes poison, arson and learning how to make s’mores.

The Rock Chick Series is just a great series to read all together. It is like having a favorite TV comedy show to watch. You just keep wanting more. The characters come to life and draw you in to the point that you keep wanting to know more of what is going on in that bookstore in Denver, Colorado.
I have read almost all of this authors books, I’ve had all the Rock Chick books but for some reason I had not picked them up to read.
This is another of my favorites, Hector and Sadie are so good together. From start to finish loved it!! On to the next one!!
If you haven’t discovered this series yet, drop everything and go immediately to your vendor. Start at the beginning and make your way through. You will not regret it. Totally enjoyable, great character development, strong women, good storylines.
4.5 stars for Rock Chick Regret by Kristen Ashley. This is Book 7 is the Rock Chick series.
“It only matters if there’s someone to care if you don’t wake up. It’s oaky if I don’t wake up because there’s no one to care.”
Sadie’s father was just sent to prison. He is a mad man, the leader of the mob as many would say. Sadie is known as the Ice Queen, never giving anyone a chance. Until she meets Hector. She knows right away Hector is not who he says he is, he is a cop. He has been sent to take down her father. No one knows that she was helping Hector take down her father. No Sadie is in danger from people wanting to take her fathers place at the head of his empire. She goes to Nightingale Security, friends of Hector’s for help. She knows she is in danger. They turn her down and she knows it has to do with her father being who he is. They don’t help and then she is brutality attacked and raped. Hector had the hots for Sadie, he wanted her but was waiting for Sadie to come to him. He is done waiting and he knows he should have been protecting her. Will these two come together.
I have only read a couple of the other Rock Chick books but out of what I have read this one is my favorite. It is an emotional and suspenseful read. I will say if you have certain triggers like violence and rap then you might now want to read this book. However, if you do not have triggers then this book is a great read and you will enjoy reading it.
What’s not to like about Kristen Ashley ! Her books are some of the best out there. I re-read them all the time. I have never gotten tired of them.
This series is one of the best series I have ever read. I Love Kristen’s books. I have read them all and am addicted to her work. The only problem I find is that I compare other authors to her, and there are very few with her writing style. Kristen has a way of roping you into her characters lives, and when you get there, you don’t want to leave. All of her books give you a roller coaster of emotions ride, and once you are done with the book, you will find yourself looking for your next Kristen fix.
Audiobook edit: So awesome to experience the Rock Chick series again in a new format. Gotta love my KA!
Oddly enough, I adored Sadie way more than I liked Hector, though I did like him. I want my own, even. But Sadie was a great character!
This was just THE BEST! I absolutely loved Hector and Sadie’s story. So much depth and emotion, I couldn’t get enough. Loved the drama and development, the build was amazing!!!
Hector I would say is a little more possessive then the other men in this series, “this means she’s mine. No on touches what’s mine. And they sure as eff don’t beat her, rape her and leave her broken. Did you see her effin’ house?” He’s a real appreciative guy as well, “you put my mark on you. To show my appreciation, I’m gonna eff you until you scream my name and I wanna make sure you remember it. Now, how effin’ drunk are you?” He’s also a bossy a**, like seriously, “you just agreed to move in, that means you just agreed to officially becoming my woman. I take care of my woman. I pay the mortgage, I pay the bills, I fix up the house. We go out, I pay. Your money is for you. I take care of us.” Damn I want a man like that. Although this is the last book in the series (so far) I hope there’s more there’s still Ally’s story that we need and a few more men from the hot bunch that we need to hear about.
I love most of Kristen Ashley’s book. Can not wait for the next one.
