I thought it was great
Loved. Ended up buying whole series.
Great story line. Inspirational and thought provoking. Loved the use of scripture through out.
Great books and great author!!!!
Great. Like everything I read by this author
This book has a lot of details regarding the lives of the characters and the challenges they faced to settle the west.
Enjoyed it very much.
I liked the setting of the book, description of life and how the people persevered through tough times. It shows the plight of the immigrants trying to survive in the west plus learn to speak English. It portrays people helping each other no matter the background or race. I enjoyed how the author developed the characters and blended their faith in God as so important to their survival.
One of the best stories I’ve read in a long time.
The story line is engaging; the book is difficult to put down! The characters are developed well with struggles and triumphs, victories and defeat, church members who encourage and church members who are destructive. In other words, it reflected real life. It made me better appreciate what our forefathers went through to survive and build a better land for those who followed. I especially liked the neighbors and family who sacrifice and are there to help each other through good times and bad – made me wish for a simpler time.
I enjoyed reading some of the history of the development of our country; the struggles the settlers had and how lives get changed by different circumstances,
especially when they have faith in God.
I’mstill Reading. Hard to put down, historical. Probably a lot like my ancestors went thru. True life! God inspired, I feel.
Great details
