New alliances, new betrayals, more suspense!
Pieces of the puzzle are fitting together more closely but every page is still a new twist and turn.
Magnolia is crazy, smart, funny, strong, and a lot of crazy. She has grown a lot in this series and turned into a sure Spitfire. The stuff she says and does, completely shocking people. Loved it!
This series blew my mind with everything finally coming to a close over the course of 4 books. Was a wild intense ride. A unique suspense series that you will not be disappointed with.
Curtain Call is the fourth and final book in the Magnolia Steele Mystery series by Denise Grover Swank. These four books are a continuing series which must be read in order. They are available both individually and as a box set.
At this point, there’s not that much I can say without spoiling things. Maggie has been back in Franklin for about a month now. She has lost her mother but there is no time for grief. There is a serial killer on the loose and she’s positive she is next on his list.
Every person that Maggie has trusted since she came home has betrayed her in some way. She has no idea who to trust. She wants to trust Colt. But even he is holding things back from her. Everyone seems to have their own agenda and it seems like they are all using her to achieve their own goals.
Her father seems to have delusions of his own. Delusions that she could ever forgive him for what he did, that they could have a relationship again.
Our Maggie puts her life on the line time and time again. She’s had enough. She doesn’t want another innocent woman to lose her life. Her brother Roy shows the true depths of his inner darkness but at the same time, finally reveals his own secrets, shedding more light on the past that Maggie’s brain tried to keep from her.
In true Denise Grover Swank fashion, she has built the intensity up little by little in each book until we reach a fever pitch the last half of this book. Maggie knows she is running out of time as she tries to uncover all the secrets. By the time I read the last word, I felt like I just went on the craziest of wild carnival rides. My head was spinning but my heart is full. I can’t deny that I love Magnolia Steele. She has so much courage. Through it all, she stood up straight and fought tooth and nail for the truth.
If you are a mystery lover and enjoy heroines that have backbones of steel and hearts that through everything, are still filled with love and forgiveness, then I hope you’ll give this series a try. This series has been a journey for me. A journey I am so glad I decided to go on. I won’t forget these characters. They are forever in my heart.
What an ending! All the ends were tied up, but it wasn’t in a super predictable way. I would have never seen this coming, especially from the beginning of the series. Magnolia’s father isn’t as innocent as she remembered him from her youth. The person who has been bothering her since she came back to town has stepped up their game and gotten in deeper. Basically everything that’s going on in Magnolia’s life is spiraling out of control.
I could NOT put this book down. As much as I wanted to savor it and never let Magnolia go, I just couldn’t help but turn page after page. As always, Denise did an incredible job.
Curtain Call by DGS is a great addition to this series! Seldom do I read a book when I truly do not know who to trust! Denise writes a fantastic story that keeps us guessing with our favorite Magnolia characters! At one moment I think I know exactly what will happen – only to be surprised and find that opposite is true. I really love this tale and its small town charm. It is everything I want in a great book.
What a wonderful book! May be my next favorite series of Denise Grover Swank! Magnolia has her gloves off – who to trust, what to do! The stalker is out of control and I needed to get answers to all of these mysteries and this book did it! Hats off to Denise! I wouldn’t mind having more of Magnolia!
Curtain Call, the fourth and final book in the Magnolia Steele series could not come soon enough for me! I’ve been waiting on the edge of my seat ever since finishing Call Back. The twists and turns had me gasping out loud as the plot unraveled with shocking reveals at the Masquerade Ball. Magnolia continues on her mission to find out the truth and claim justice. We finally learn more about the Franklin serial killer, Ava Milton, Magnolia’s brother Roy, along with her father who is still in town. Denise Grover Swanks wraps up this series nicely, even though I am wishing for more of these characters that I have grown to know and love over time. If you are looking for a great mystery series packed with romance and long lasting friendships this series is for you!
I was left in shock and awe reading this book. Everything comes to head in this book, finally getting the answers we were wanting. Magnolia finally learns who she can trust and put in her life, hopefully getting her happily ever after. I love the characters and their stories as we learn more about them- as twisted as they may be. This is a great ending to an amazing series!
I can’t believe this serious is over. What are you doing reading review when you should be reading this amazing series. Seriously, such a great series. I loved Magnolia from page 1 of book one up to the last page of this book.
Curtain Call is the fourth and final book in the Magnolia Steele series and it was absolutely fantastic! I am sad that this series has come to an end but the story was wrapped up perfectly and did not leave unanswered questions. The twists and turns throughout the series kept me unsure of how the story would end but this book did a great job at ensuring everything was explained. There were some surprising reveals in this book and I cannot wait to reread it to help piece everything together again.
Magnolia is a character that I have truly grown to care about and I am thankful to Denise for writing another great mystery series. She grew throughout the series and learned a lot about herself and her family and friends. I also loved seeing the development of the other characters and learning all about their pasts and secrets. This book was another quick read because I could not put it down but part of me was bummed because I did not want it to end.
This an easy read but also a great mystery and lots of fun. I have gotten all four in the series because I just had to finish them. Very enjoyable!!
Oh my goodness! I absolutely loved Curtain Call. Denise Grover Swank did it again. I hate having to say goodbye to Magnolia but I love how Denise finished this series. It answered every question I had and then some, it didn’t leave me wondering what happened at all.
Curtain Call is the final book in the Magnolia Steele Mystery Series. It finished Maggie’s story about what happened on the night of her graduation, when it all started. Maggie ends up finding out exactly what happened in the abandoned house in the woods and who All was involved. She also figures out who she can and can’t trust as she’s been struggling with that through out the series.
I really wish the series could go on, it was such a wonderful story. It had me on the edge of my seat the whole time.
The time has finally come to get all the answers to so many questions. Tired of running and hiding, Magnolia stands her ground and shows her inner strength. I wasn’t sure how Denise was going to tie up all the loose ends and cover all the bases but she did it nonetheless and it was AMAZING! So much happens. Plot twists keep you guessing until the very end. It was gripping, suspenseful, heartfelt, edge of your seat, can’t put it down, what in the actual hell just happened good!
Curtain Call has been the best book by far in the Magnolia Steele series. There was so much excitement and mystery throughout the book; who is the killer and who should she trust. What a final showdown. I am happy Magnolia got her happy ending and glad for closure for my many questions I have had through out the series.
Great story and excellent character development throughout the series
It was ok, not very interesting
Denise Grover Swank is an exceptional writer. Her books are never disappointing!
Curtain Call is everything you will expect from Denise Grove and more. You can’t put down the book until you find the truth in Magnolia’s story and the twists that you get leave you speechless. Sorry to know that the series is finished but I’m sure Denise Grove will come out with another great adventure.
I really enjoyed this series and I’m a little sad to say good-bye to it.
