I absolutely love Andie M Long her books are very well written with humor and enjoyable. This book was alot different then what I was use to reading by Andie. This one was a lot darker and much more intense. But with that being said OH MY GOD did I love this book. It was well written from page 1 to the end. The characters were amazing , the storyline was all that and then some and it will grip you from the beginning and have you holding on until the very end.You just have to know what happens to the main character Eden by the end. I absolutely love the character chemistry betwen Eden and her best friend Kara. Through the whole book the chemistry is so obviously there and there is so much background and history between these two. You can see that their friendship is built to last and everything that happens in this story only builds on that friendship. This book starts out like you would except any good book. Two girls on their own just wanting to live life. Kara ends up at a night club where she has a one night stand with Xavier. A very hot steamy enjoyable one night stand. So much so that she cant get him out of her head and he cant get her out of his. But nothing becomes of it until later.
Eden decides to take a job working for a couple. There is an understanding walking into this job that it is not going to be your normal job like you or I would be getting. The interview is nothing like you would see either. But Eden likes where the interview goes and agrees to take the job. Things are going well for her for the most part. She is living life like she wanted . She has her own space and can do basically what she wants and is getting favors in return. But after being into it for a while she starts to feel that it isnt enough. She wants to get away and see her friend Kara who she was basically kept from.
Eden runs into Xavier again and shortly after that things change for her but it is not even close to being for the better. This is where the storyline gets extremely intense and dark. I will warn you that I am talking dark . Eden goes through things that no person should go through. But I will not tell you , you seriously have to read this book. During this whole thing going on with her Kara starts to worry that something has happened to her. There of course is an investigation and thankfully Eden is found safe. But for Eden this is where the story really begins because now she is dealing with everything that happened and healing. I loved this part of the story because it was well written. It really gives you the story of what she is going through trying to get herself back and deal with everything that happened to her. Eden is the strongest girl that I know at this point. She is fighting to get herself back with just the help of her therapist really. Reading through this part of the book you feel everything that Eden is feeling that is how well written that section is.
I absolutely loved how this story ended. I was actually a little surprised that it ended this way but I was glad that it did. I highly recommend this book to anyone who will enjoy a book that has a girl suffer the worse but come on so much better in the end. Alot of us have been there in one way or another I guarantee you will enjoy this book.
Loved, Loved, Loved this book!! Not the usual Andie Long book but she took me on a dark ride and I loved every second of it. I was captured from the first page till the last. This was a well written story with well developed characters. It was full of suspense, romance and lots of great twists and turns that make this a 5-star read! I highly recommend this book to everyone.
Being sexually promiscuous and bored with her usual one night stands Eden accepts a job as a House PA. She cooks, cleans and sexually services her straight bosses. They’re are open to a sexual relationship with Eden. She thinks she got the perfect job, when something is too good to be true it usually is.
At this points you know things are going too smooth sailing and you’re waiting for the big WTF moment, it hits and it’s more shocking than you can imagine. Read with your eyes wide open.
Saviour is the best book I have read in a long time, Andie M. Long writes the best comedy I have ever read, and I loved this more than her comedy writing. I can’t recommend this book highly enough. It deals with some difficult subjects but it deals with them in a real and compassionate way. Its suitable for over 18’s only due to some of the content.
Eden Stark is a woman after my own heart, she knows what she wants and she goes for it. Sex is just a way to get the release that she needs, Eden has never had people who care for her, she was brought up in foster care, and got unlucky in that the family she had didn’t care beyond the check.
When she gets word from a friend of a friend of a job as a house PA with added benefits she jumps at the chance, she loves those extra benefits after all, little does she know not all is what is seems. When she goes missing along with her employers, have they taken her on an extended holiday? or is something more sinister going on?
Xavier Harrington was the last person to see Eden alive apart from her employers, well that’s what he explains to the police when he goes with her best friend to report her missing officially. He has a checked past himself, so some people wonder if he is trying to help find and save Eden as they once have a one night stand, or is it something darker? Is he trying to save her after he couldn’t save someone else in his life?
Despite the difficulties the characters in this book face, you can’t help but get involved and relate to them each in some small way, I related to Eden easy enough in the beginning, we both enjoyed our youth, but I also related to Xavier in that I have marks on my body and they all tell a story like his, some sad, some happy. The difficulties they face and how the over-come them are so well written that you can’t help but know this author did their research and I for one can’t wait to applaud her on a job well done.
