Arriving to view what will hopefully be her dream home, Thea Kozak finds her real estate agent, Ginger Stevens, tied to a chair, surrounded by fiery space heaters. Just before the woman dies, she utters the indistinct words: Bobby. So long. Safe. Sorry. Then a stranger, claiming to be Ginger’s boyfriend, corners Thea, demanding a package that Ginger gave to her, a package Thea never received. … received.
Determined to get justice for Ginger, Thea begins her own investigation. Ginger’s colleagues know little about her, her apartment has been professionally sanitized, Ginger Stevens is the name of a child who died many years ago, and the Maine police have no idea who real-estate agent Ginger Stevens really is.
But Thea is sure the two men following her know Ginger’s true identity, and will stop at nothing to keep her from uncovering the truth behind the woman’s dying words.

So far I have enjoyed all the books in this well written series, but I think this one has been my favorite. It starts out fast and furious with a terribly gruesome murder that Thea is once again drawn into.
The author has done such an incredible job at creating strong characters that I have come to love…. flaws and all. Their journey has become my journey, I follow right alongside them engrossed with what will come next in their lives.
I am really glad I decided to try this series. It has given me great pleasure to spend some time with these incredible characters. I’ve not been disappointed in any of the storylines, each one has been unique and fun to read. I would definitely recommend giving them a try.

This is one of the best mystery stories I’ve read in a long time. While this is part of an ongoing series it stands on it’s own pretty well. Thea is an overworked stressed young professional that I think many people can relate to. She has an amazing if sometimes pigheaded husband and police detective Andre. I got caught up in this story from page 1 and went on this thrilling roller coaster ride til the end. Just a fantastic read! I am going to go back and get the earlier books in this series to enjoy!!

Wow what a great book in this series!! This was such a good book with lots of action, mystery, and suspense. I could not put the book down. Definitely worth reading.

This is one of the best written by Kate Flora. For once, it isn’t the job that may kill Thea but house hunting! She and hubby Andre are at their wits end looking for a home while dealing with their demanding jobs. I was quite shocked when Thea went to meet her realtorat a house only to find the realtor near death under horrific conditions….very descriptive and scary.
And it seems that her realtor, Ginger, may have been living under a different name…no close friends, very little in her home, and the place is wiped clean. Poor Thea is dealing with pushy cops, the shocking scene in her head and several urgent matters at work.
Still working at Edge, dealing with headmaster, board members and pushy parents. And one headmaster is dealing with a pediphile and it turns ugly. All this plus Andre asking Thea to remember any conversation she had with Ginger for clues to her death.
The way Andre has trained Thea to use her mind to remember vital clues is really neat…I may improve my memory. This plot is solid, a bit sad, definitely scary with sharp wit to break up the tension……lots of scary bits. Can’t wait for the next one releasing in 2018!!
