Six years with my knight in shining armor.Four years with my knight in dented armor. Two years with my knight in rusted armor. It is time to make a change. Time to find myself, even if it scares the hell out of me.I, Makenzie Mayfair, am leaving my husband. This is my chance to begin again, to rip my backbone out and yell, “I’ve found it.” It may take time, it may take new friends, a job and even a … it may take new friends, a job and even a jerk of a boss who is annoyingly handsome, but I will get there.
I’m determined to be who I want to be, and plan to have a whole heap of fun along the way.

First thing I’ve got to say is, I love reading Lila Rose books, she is one amazing writing, so thank you Lila Rose.
Where do I start with this book????
First I haven’t laughed out loud throughout reading a book since reading
” Jordan Silvers Mouth series”
But my goodness this one was hilarious, nearly peed my pants, my household yesterday thought senile dementia had finally set in, And all because of the amazing fantastic goofy character that is all Mackenzie, she is fun crazy and my IDOL now. She was an amazing female lead going through many life experience which most woman go through on a daily basis e.g. weight problems, self esteem issues, infidelity of a spouse, etc.
I loved DYLAN, he is the best friend we all wished we had, the fact that it was set among the music bigwigs was just the cherry on the cake, (SPOILER ALERT, The scene at the awards show, had me howling with laughter)
The Jackson brothers came into her life, showing her how wonderful she was, same old thing we never do see what others see in us.
Fun with a capital F all the way through this book,
I have rated it 5 stars because its hilarious, amazing read, but also beautifully written by an amazing writer about issues most of us go through on a daily basis.
Thank you Lila Rose.I simply adored this booked.
I laughed so hard, and cringed in some instances, but ultimately ached for more when it ended as it was so satisfying to read.
Kenzie was braver and stronger than she thought, and Grayson ( SWOON) was the no nonsense, moody and intimidating hot boss who sees who she truly is.
Her dad and sister were simply the best and Dylan well I have a soft spot for him.
The author wrote a story about losing yourself and settling with the wrong person and finding yourself with the right one, and that a woman does not have to settle no matter how they look, because the right person will always bring out the best in you.
Its funny all the way through, Vice and the medicine are especially hilarious parts.
Its a great read, its all the embarrassing bits of your life magnified (hopefully) and written into a book. I was cringing and thing by the grace of god go I, I read it – and laughing out loud. thinking we’ve all been there putting our foot in it, or doing something so embarrassing you want to hibernate for ever, I LOVED MACKENZIE. P.S. The Delivery ROOM HA HA HA
Enjoy.
MORE PLEASE Lila Rose
Loved this romantic comedy. I could so relate to Makenzie. She has no filter, sassy and always fighting with gravity. Grayson is one sexy alpha. He goes after what he wants. This is one hot and sexy couple. This book had me cracking up one minute and hot the next. I can’t wait to read the next book.
I recommend this book to everyone who asks me if I know of any funny Rom-Coms to read. This book is one of my top five books in that genre and I do a re-read at least twice a year. Kenzie is a beautiful funny intelligent ditzy kind hearted Fuller figure woman and in love with her boss .
Grayson is a gorgeously hot cantankerous , irritating music mogal billionaire who gives Kenzie hell but secretly thinks she’s the most amazing breath of fresh air he’s ever seen . Working as Grayson’s assistant has been challenging to say the least but it was a job Kenzie was up for and would prove to not only herself but her cheating ex husband that she could do it. Being belittled by Robert for six years finally took its toll on her always being told she wasn’t good enough , pretty enough, she should be like this person and that person and if she only lost a bit of weight etc etc hearing that day in and day out for six years took its toll and during a particularly brutal lunch meeting with her husband and one of his associate’s she had an ephany of sorts excused herself and proceeded to leave the restaurant to go home and pack she was done . Insert Dylan who just happened to over hear the way Robert treated her and who also just happened to be Grayson’s brother he offers her a job and place to stay of course she’s skeptical at first but Dylan tells her his gay and has nothing to worry about where he’s concerned only his not gay and a series of hilarious events ensure that Kenzie not only starts to become the person she once was but leads her to a happily ever after with Grayson. This book is about finding yourself excepting yourself embracing the life you should have and finding unconditional love no matter what size you are . I can relate to Kenzie in so many ways being a Fuller figure girl myself and the stigma that comes along with it , it’s hurtful the cruel words people say to your face and behind your back. We all want to feel accepted and treated with respect no matter what size you are and it’s books like this one that give girls like me hope that you can love and be loved no matter what you look like. Lila Rose pulls it off brilliantly in making changes.
Absolutely loved this book!…great romance, sexy and Funny as hell!!.. Will read it again
Mackenzie Mayfair gave up everything for her husband and in doing so lost her way, she has had enough of being belittled by him and wants out. Deciding she has had enough she leaves him and on her way out the door meets Dylan Jackson who offers her a job and new start at his brother Grayson’s job.
Not sure if she made the right choice, Mackenzie goes for it and even though her boss is surly, handsome, and hard to read she is loving her new life. Could Grayson see Mackenzie as more though then a secretary? Clueless about her beauty or magnetism Mackenzie is about to find out.
This was highly entertaining. Laugh out loud funny, Mackenzie is a motor mouth who doesn’t always realize that she is speaking out loud. Loved Grayson, slow burn romance and a book to savor.
I love finding a new to me author! I love more reading a story that I can identify with on some level. Lila Rose is a new author to me, but this cover and synopsis spoke to me. MaKenzie and Grayson’s story made me laugh and cheer repeatedly!! Making Changes was more than I had hoped and I definitely think I’ll be looking at others from her list! 4.25 Stars
I don’t like single POV books cause I feel like there’s something I don’t get. Thank God with this book I didn’t mind. I actually loved that Grayson was as mysterious to me as to Mackenzie. Still, I would like to know for instance, where did Grayson go for 2 weeks after Randall kissed her? When did he decide to break up with Harper and did he sleep with her before he and Mackenzie got together? Who did he tell about his feelings? I’d love to have read the conversation he had with his brother or his friend and Mackenzie.
I LOLed a lot in the last half of the book.
This book spoke to my heart for personal reasons and it goes to my fav list to be reread later.
i had never read this author but the description of the book intrigued me.. the h is so funny she has a motor mouth that she can’t control especially around her boss..funniest scene is the cough medicine imo..she is trying to start over after leaving her jerk of a husband who constantly put her down and treated her like crap..love some of those scenes as well when she lets him know what she really feels about him and the jerk doesn’t get it!! this is an author i will be following for sure
