This was my first book by Mindy Obenhaus, and I enjoyed the story. Readers of clean cowboy romances, small town romances, and the Love Inspired line will likely enjoy Their Ranch Reunion. This book featured Andrew Stephens’ story, so I’m guessing the next books in this series will be about his brothers. Now, off to find the next book in the series!
What a fun book and a great start to a promising series! This is the first book by Mindy Obenhaus that I have read and I am hooked! Set in present-day Ouray, Colorado, the author introduces the reader to the charm of a small town and a family that has deep roots in the town. The writing is easy- to-follow, the plot moves at a good pace, the characters are flawed and absolutely lovable, and second chances as well as grace abound as the characters develop and mature.
Andrew, second of five Stephens sons, is a successful and driven contractor who returns to his hometown to renovate his grandmother’s home in between projects. Carly, a young widow and single mom, is determined to expand her B&B business into the home next door, which is Andrew’s grandmother’s home. They have a past together and their past hurts and tensions, as well as present struggle against attraction, all collide when they end up working together to salvage Carly’s home.
I’m thinking there will be a book for each of the Stephens brothers and I’m looking forward to reading them. I was given a copy of the book by the author/publisher via JustRead Publicity Tours and was under no obligation to post a positive review. All comments and opinions are solely my own.
Cowboys and the beautiful mountain town of Ouray, Colorado what more could a person ask for? “Their Ranch Reunion” is the first book in the Rocky Mountain series. Carly grew up in the mountain town whose Bed & Breakfast needs a much needed expansion. When her next-door neighbor passes away, she finds out that the house was left to Carly and starts to make plans to start the renovation but there is one roadblock in the way, Andrew Stephen, her high school sweetheart who is now joint owner of the property as well.
A story of second chances and watching how God works behind the scenes. This was the first book by Mindy Obenhaus and received it as part of the Blind Book tour. The book was a quick read for me and enjoyed seeing how the characters developed and worked together.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher and was under no obligation to post a review. The opinions expressed are my own.

This sweet small town with its cutesie B&B and local ranching community is the perfect setting for a second chance romance! Baked goods and cowboy/builders are a wonderfully delightful combination!
Obenhaus delivers a warm and cozy environment with authentic characters and relatable emotions and situations. I’d love to visit Ouray and strike up a friendship Carly, Andrew, and all their friends!
This is the first series I’ve had the opportunity to read by this author and I’m looking forward to future stories! I definitely recommend this book!

MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK
This romance starts off not so sweet, with Carly inheriting the a House she intends to expand her bed and breakfast. But she soon runs into major problems when she realizes its a joint inheritance with her first love Andrew, who intends to fix the house up and sell it. Andrew left their little town many years ago to make a successful business of his own. How will these two headstrong people survive this issue they have to face.
I love this story and the characters had me laughing and irritated at the same time. Carly and Andrew were both stubborn, so the road to their second chance romance was pretty rocky, to say the least. The way they reacted with each other was fun and entertaining, and I loved it! It is interesting that Andrew’s grandmother left her house and property to both Andrew and Carly. It has them spending more time together, and especially with the fire that blew through, they had enough time together to really explore their feelings. Resulting in a second chance love that neither expected. The journey wasn’t an easy one to follow, but you need to read the book to discover what all happened. And I appreciate the way Mindy Obenhaus weaves the gospel and the Christian life into the lives of her characters. She does it in such a subtle way that it doesn’t stand out.
If you love a good, clean romance fiction, you don’t want to miss this one from Mindy Obenhaus! I received this book from JustReads Tours to read and review. This is the third book in the Rocky Mountain Heroes series. The series features five brothers living in scenic mountainous Ouray,Colorado. Several of these faith filled brothers are married some are not yet. This is Noah Stephens and Lily Davis’s story. Lily is a socialite , her father was a real estate mogul and her husband was involved in the oil fields. Unlike some with money though she is sweet and down to earth and always wants the best for her two children. Noah and Lily have both been down and broken. Loss was not easy for either of them to cope with but God gives us the power to cope and become better people for what we have dealt with.
This is my favorite book so far in the series, most of it takes place on the ranch and involves Noah fulfilling a long time dream of his opening a rodeo school . It was encouraging to see Lily’s son evolve from a sullen and disrespectful child to a more confident, mannerly child with Noah’s encouragement as he gains riding and roping skills. The vulnerable animals pulling on my heartstrings and I was rooting for them. This was a feel good make me happy type of book and I can’t wait to see what happens next in the series.

I read these books out of order, so it was fun to see how the Stephens family started out! I loved the interaction between Carly, a widowed single mother, and Andrew, her first love. When Andrew comes home to fix up his grandmother’s house and sell it, he’s shocked to discover that he’s only partial owner of the property. When poor Carly’s home catches fire and requires repair, she and her daughter move into the inherited house. Romance and tension ensue, of course! It was both adorable and frustrating to watch Carly and Andrew work through their past and discover their future together!
I must say that I was also surprised at the personalities of some of the other Stephens family members. They definitely grow and evolve throughout each brother’s story, so while these books can be read as standalone stories, I recommend reading them in order for maximum effect.

Their Ranch Reunion is a heart-warming story of second chances. It features widowed mother Carly Wagner whose B & B is in need of space to expand. When she inherits the house next door, she quickly makes plans for the much needed expansion. There is just one kink in the works – her former best friend and high school sweetheart Andrew Stephens is joint heir to his grandmother’s property. He has taken time from his successful Colorado business to make enough repairs to quickly sell the house and return to Denver. Needless to say, things become just a bit testy when Carly refuses to sell.
I enjoyed this story and its characters. Although Andrew is unhappy with Carly’s refusal to sell, he remains supportive and helpful during a series of mishaps which is indicative of his true self. It was fun observing the interaction between Carly, Andrew, and Carly’s daughter. It was a given that I had to hope for a reunion between these two lovable characters. It was also interesting reading about Ouray, Colorado. I was even inspired to look up the town online and to my surprise discovered that it is a booming destination for vacations.
Their Ranch Reunion is an excellent introduction to Obenhaus’ Rocky Mountain Heroes series and is an entertaining and quick read.
I voluntarily reviewed a digital copy of this book provided by Just Read Tours. A favorable review was not required. All views expressed are my own.
Returning to Ouray was supposed to be temporary for Andrew Stephens, but a change to his grandmother’s will which he wasn’t aware of, a fire, and an illness keep him plenty busy. And then there’s his high school sweetheart.
Carly’s dream is to extend her family’s bed and breakfast but in order to do that, she has to convince Andrew Stephens to sell her his half of his grandmother’s house.
Andrew is such a gentleman when it comes to Carly! He’s considerate and protective and, of course, attracted. And then there’s his immediate attachment to Carly’s daughter. But can this man who has a lonely but good life in Denver give it all up?
Mindy Obenhaus gives readers plenty to love in the first book of her Rocky Mountain Heroes series. Seriously, who can resist a little girl, five cowboy brothers, twin foals, and a whole lot of second chance romance?

Carly is a single mom with dreams of expanding her bed and breakfast, but the only thing standing in her way is her first love who left their small-town a long time ago for the big city. Carly has inherited a property, which she hopes to use to expand, but the problem is that Andrew has inherited joint ownership of the property.
But when Carly’s house catches fire, Andrew offers her and her daughter, Megan a place to stay.
Will Carly and Andrew be able to come to an agreement or will their individual stubbornness win the day?
Andrew left his hometown years ago for the city, wanting make an easier life for himself than what he saw his family fight for on the ranch their whole life. Andrew has carved out a living for himself in the fast-paced business world of Denver, he has his regrets about leaving his family behind, and hasn’t forgotten about Carly.
Carly is active in the community and her local church, she is a very giving woman, who has mastered the art of hospitality. She has a strong faith, and works hard to give her daughter what she needs. She is close to Andrew’s family, and has helped them alot. Her daughter loves the ranch with all the animals, and Megan instantly bonds with Andrew.
Overall, a great introduction to the series, I love the interaction between Carly and Andrew, as well as Andrew and his family. Clint is Andrew’s father, and a very wise and kind man. This is an engaging story of family, forgiveness, and second chances. I really admired Carly for her faith, and how she loves to share with the community.

It’s so much fun to discover a “new-to-me” author to enjoy! Their Ranch Reunion is the first book in the Rocky Mountain Heroes series and is the first book that I have read by Mindy Obenhaus. It will definitely not be the last.
I enjoyed this second chance love story so much! Carly and Andrew were such likable characters and Carly’s daughter, Megan, was a very realistic and precious child. I liked watching as Carly and Andrew grew close to each other once more, many years after their first relationship fell apart. Carly struggled to trust that love could be real and lasting, and feared ending up in an unhappy marriage again. Andrew was bogged down with guilt and even some anger over hardships in his past. These things made for deep and interesting characters.
I am really looking forward to reading more books in this series!
