Caitlyn:I was promised a Nice Boy, but one look at my fiance and I know better.I’ve always had my planned life out: college, career, marriage, kids. Now that I’m established in my career, I’m ready to start planning the wedding but it looks like Mr. Right didn’t get his save the date card. That’s why I decide to go with an arranged marriage using a modern day match maker.Visions of white picket … match maker.
Visions of white picket fences are dancing in my head on my way to meet my new fiance but when I get my first look at Josh I can’t breathe.
Oh sure, he’s hot as sin and I can’t resist giving in to every opportunity to get his mouth on my skin but marry him? I’m not so sure about that.
Josh is all bad boy; tattoos, dirty mind, and foul mouth. Hardly husband material.
Is happily ever after really possible with a man like Josh?
Joshua:
My last relationship ended with a wrecked house and a night in jail…I’m ready for a woman that’s crazy about me, not just crazy.
So when my boss tells me she’s gonna find me a wife, I can’t argue with the woman who’s like a mother to me.
I know Caitlyn’s the perfect woman as soon as I set eyes on her and I love knowing she wants me just as bad as I want her.
I won’t let anything get in the way of putting my ring on this woman’s finger and starting our life together.

First off, I just want to say that I liked this book better than the first book. That’s because I actually got what I was asking for! There was more depth in the story and behind the characters and it made the story better right off to start with. There was more details that made the characters more interesting and that was very pleasing. It wasn’t just a story about people getting married and having hot sex.
This was a story about not judging what someone looks like at first to see who they are and what they represent. Things aren’t always what they seem to be. I really enjoyed this book and I was kind of bummed when it ended. The way it ended was pretty good but I just didn’t want it to end is the thing. The couple were a perfect match as you will see once you read it. There are a few surprises in the story that make it interesting. This story, I believe, is for everyone.
A Nice Boy by Rocklyn Ryder is book number two in the Arranged Marriage series. This is Caitlyn and Joshua’s story.
Caitlyn has planned her life out. She has a successful career and is now ready for marriage and kids. The problem is she hasn’t found Mr. Right. Caitlyn decides to go with an arranged marriage.
Joshua isn’t having any luck in finding true love. His boss is like a mother to him so he lets her set him up with an arranged marriage. Caitlyn and Joshua are chosen for each other. When meeting Caitlyn Josh knew she was the one. Caitlyn not so sure Josh is husband material. Will they find true love or will Caitlyn’s doubts destroy their chance at love?
If you like mail order brides stories, then you will love this Twist on arranged marriages. I was hooked from the beginning. This was a fun and steamy read.
Check out book one is this series, A Perfect Gentleman.
FYI, includes mature content. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
The woman is psycho, and now I am left cleaning up after her. She not only had me in jail overnight, but I am getting stuck with a bill from the contractors to fix this whole mess. I..AM..DONE..with all of this. Poor Josh, this girl who he helped out of a relationship that was abusive goes and trashes one of his rental properties. all because he doesn’t want to date this bat-stuff crazy girl. She started screaming, the nosey old lady neighbor called the cops, and he is hauled out in handcuffs. Then to come back to the “scene of the crime” it angers him, and sickens him. He decides to go down to the bar and work. He talks with the owner, Maureen (who lost her husband – also owner of the bar,) she is like a mom to him. She proceeds to tell him that she entered his information into a matchmaking website. She hands him the tablet and tells him to fill out the paperwork……the very VERY detailed paperwork. Ugh!
I don’t know what has happened in my life, but I am asking my boss if she will be one of the people I choose to choose my arranged husband from this matchmaking website. It has been 5 years since my last relationship (and probably that long for sex too….TMI?!?!?!) She is someone I consider a friend. She at first isn’t about this, but together she, my Grams and Gramps choose my husband. Caitlyn thinks about it and it does sound a bit old-fashioned, but if she finds her happily ever after, then whatever. I am just wanting to have the right person in my life and a forever right person. Wow, the paperwork is a bit nosey, but no matter if this turns out as well as I hope.
The first meeting of Josh and Caitlyn starts off with a bang. He spots her bluest eyes in all the land from across the parking lot. He finds her to be so beautiful, and he is thinking of ALL the ways he wants to show her how beautiful she is. But this is a chaperoned date, no alcohol, no touching (groping and the like,) in a neutral place. So who picked this little shop where you paint clay objects??? Caitlyn gets out of her friends car, a bit scared and a whole lot of nervous. This chaperoned date already has hit a snag. His chaperone is unable to make it. But no worries, the date proceeds. The first thing Caitlyn notices is the sleeve of tattoos. But man this man is hot. Making her even more nervous. Well, this is a chaperoned date, to get to know each other without pressures such as alcohol and all.
Choosing their painting projects and the three of them find a table and begin. Josh is only using one color, and to break the ice Caitlyn asks if he wants to use other colors. Oh, she is a saucy little one, and Josh likes that sauciness. He plays handsy under the table, Caitlyn excuses herself to go to the bathroom. She knows she shouldn’t enjoy this but man she does. She (from a far) takes in the fact that he is sitting at the table alone and doesn’t mind at all painting and losing himself with what he is doing. She pictures him as the father of their kids and how much pleasure he takes with doing this with them and how happy they would be. That is the pivotal moment she knows he is the right one. He already felt that in the parking lot when they first met.
Now there is a weekend together date. It is very steamy. They are so compatible. Josh is not shy about what he wants from and to do with Caitlyn, he even calls her Caity (no one else does this.) She is not really versed in this type of thing, but boy she wants to be. Here is where the twists and the good stuff happens. Josh takes Caity to meet Maureen at the bar. Lo and behold that bat-stuff crazy ex is there (with her new other) and starts stuff. Now from this point on, I can’t tell you anything. If I do you will miss all the in between, all the juicy details, all the things that happen with these two, and the people around them. That wouldn’t be fair to you if I just told you about it, now would it?
Great story, fun, funny, fast paced and steamy. Josh’s latest crazy ex has is adopted mother going to Raven Swaan to find him a wife. Josh has no objections to setting down, but a professional march maker, and Maureen choosing his wife, not so sure about that.
Caitlyn has planned her life out since she was a kid. College, check, career, check, married, not, and no prospects in site. So she is taking a chance on Raven Swaan finding her a husband. She can’t believe her grandparents and best friend choose Josh for her husband.
Loved Josh and Caite story. Loved Caite’s grandma and Joshes adopted mom. The epilogue was over the top sweet.
Arc review For honest review. Joshua and Caitlin meet on line throw a marriage app but then their sparks fly . HOT and awesome.
