As one of the most prestigious wedding coordinators in Los Angeles, Paige Iris Traynor-Ashcroft is known for being classy, elegant, and the orchestrator of many happily-ever-afters.But in the words of Paige herself: “What a crock of shiitake.”Known affectionately (or not) as P.I.T.A. to those closest to her, she’s never been one to buy into the whole monogamy thing for herself. Sure, her BFFs are … Sure, her BFFs are getting picked off by Cupid one by one, but his arrows have nothing on her semiautomatic.
Richard “Dick” Dawson does his best to live up to his name. A long-time frenemy and manwhore extraordinaire, he thrives on pushing limits, pushing up skirts—and pushing every single one of Paige’s buttons. He’s the itch she can’t scratch, and doesn’t want to. Or does she?
What happens when blazing-hot rage turns to crazy, unexplainable lust? Surely not…love? Because that would just be a total P.I.T.A.
P.I.T.A . is a standalone within a series. All books in the L.A. Liaisons series can be read independently of each other and in mixed order. For maximum reading pleasure, the published order is: LICKED, HOOKER, P.I.T.A.

P.I.T.A is the third book in the L.A Liaisons series. It can be read as a standalone since each book is about a different couple surrounding a group of kickass girlfriends. But, I do highly recommend reading the series because it is hilarious, sexy, and this group of friends are everything. With that being said, Paige aka Pita is the snarky man eater that won’t let anyone tie her down unless it’s to a bed and a promise of multiple orgasms.
Paige and her manwhoring frenemy from way back are going to be seeing more of each other. He knows exactly how to push her buttons in all of the right places. She hates it. He drives her mad but he friends see something else that she doesn’t want to hear about. Sexual tension. Nope. She won’t believe it. She doesn’t need a man to keep her happy. She just needs her friends, her dream house, Nutella, and her chef. And orgasms of course. But Richard “Dirty Dick” Dawson sees right through her. And he isn’t going anywhere…
Richard and Paige’s relationship is very complicated. They used to be best friends until they weren’t. They are now both more of the lust and leave them type. Never serious with anyone and don’t plan on having a white picket fence. Ever. Paige thinks marriage is a crock of shit. It’s fake and just makes people miserable so of course it make sense for her to be an in-Demand wedding coordinator. Richard has shown through the years that he feels the same way so why isn’t he leaving her alone? Why won’t he just let her hate him? Why does he have to show her the other sides of himself? Damn him and his nine and half inch cock.
I loved this story. Hard. Very hard! Sorry, the review is vague but I don’t want to spoil it. I will say it’s so much more than hilarious one upping between these two. But, really their fights are the best. Especially when food is involved. I loved the characters. All of them. The girls are the best kind of friends. Paige is snarky, badass, loyal, independent, and sassy. Richard is funny, flirty, and one snappy dresser. Together, their banter is epic. Their fun is filthy. Their story is amazing.
Overall…It’s everything I expected and more. I knew Pita was going to be hilarious but damn. I loved everything about this story. I can’t wait for the next one. I am hoping the mystery of Quinn is going to be solved. Or maybe it will just be that always. A mystery.
Quotes:
“Do you not own anything that doesn’t look like you just came from Hot Topic?”
“Good morning to you, too, love.”
“To sexy bitches who know how to pop it,” Quinn said, holding up her shot as we followed her movement. “And by that, I mean us.”
“We’re keepin’ it classy,” I remarked with a grin.
I’ve been waiting so long for Paige’s story. I loved the two previous books in the L.A. Liaisons series Licked and Hooker. Paige and Richard aka P.I.T.A and Dick have been competing with each other for so long and their history goes way back. They’ve know one another since they were kids and used to be best friends.
What can I say! I simply loved and enjoyed this story so much. First off I love the girls Paige, Shayne, Ryleigh and Quinn’s friendship. They are so honest, supportive and hilarious as hell when they’re around each other. So many awkward and laugh out loud scenes.
Paige is a man eater and doesn’t hide it. She works as a wedding planner despite her hatred for marriage. Her relationship with her parents are nonexistent but thankfully she has her girls and a strong friendship with Dawson’s parents. She’s so strong but also very stubborn when it comes to acknowledging and accepting her feelings.
Dawson is also a Womanizer or he used to be. He and Paige fight and compete like crazy but there’s so much history and feelings between them. Their chemistry and friendship are fantastic and of the charts. He definitely surprised me and showed his romantic side multiple times. I enjoyed their history and it only strengthened their connection. The flashbacks were great and I couldn’t wait to find out the reason for their fallout.
I was entertained from start to finish. The last chapter and epilogue were phenomenal. What an ending and I had to hold back tears. Brooke Blaine has done it again. She’s an expert at romantic comedies and P.I.T.A is another hit. Now I’m hoping the mysterious ninja Quinn will get her story to conclude this fantastic series.

That’s how long it took me to devour this baby, and while it may not seem like a big thing, it kinda is since I…um…wasreadingitwhileIwassupposedtobeworking…sshhh don’t tell anyone. But that’s how good it was. I laughed, I swooned, I sniffled, I needed an arctic temp bath and even did a little squee at one point and I fell into full blown adoration with Paige and Dawson as they constantly picked at each other while dancing around their true feelings for the other.
I’ve adored Paige aka Pita from the first time she, and her I’m fabulous so don’t %$%k with me attitude, graced the pages of Licked. She has no edit button and isn’t afraid of giving some good tough love to those she calls her own. But that adoration was kicked up a notch at seeing underneath that armour and finding out why she is the way that she is because it showed not only how strong she really is, but also how huge her heart truly is.
I honestly wasn’t sure how I’d feel about Richard ‘Dirty D*ck’ Dawson because I’ve been firmly on #TeamPita, but holy h@ll did I end up adoring the man. He’s all kinds of alpha male panty melting goodness. He’s determined and quite sneaky and yet has that laid back vibe that just makes you want more of him. And his heart, d@mn, does this man have a huge and generous heart that will make you all kinds of twitterpated and swoony.
This friends to frenemies to lovers is all that you could ask for and more. We get glimpses of who they were to each other before becoming frenemies and a whole bunch of crazy as they continue to try to one up each other, but what comes through all of it is that Paige and Dawson are perfect for each other. The chemistry between them is explosive and I my love of Nutella has been kicked up exponentially. There were quite a few twists in their very bumpy road that surprised me and I loved how everything worked out between them. The end had me all kinds of sniffly and swoony and that epilogue was perfection!
I adored Licked and Hooker, but P.I.T.A is my absolute fav (and yes I know this may be a premature statement since we do have one more ‘hooker’ who is single, but it is what it is) It brought out all the feels, and I mean ALL ~ from laughter to frustration to needing an extremely cold shower to the sniffles. This one had it all and I loved getting to see who Paige and Dawson really were. It was fun hanging out with Ryleigh, Shayne and Quinn as well as our favorite sexy as sin action hero and I swear I fell in love in Dawson’s parents as well. And speaking of Quinn, it’s now her turn to fall and finally (I hope) find out just what hell she does and what makes this enigmatic woman tick. So I will do my best to practice patience while waiting for her book (as well as PresLocke #3) to fall into my greedy little hands.

P.I.T.A. is the third installment in Brooke’s LA Liaisons series-and WOW what a great one! There was sooooo much to love about this book. I adore when the authors overlap characters from previous books (and series now too!) it really puts a smile on my face. Won’t mention anything this time *spoiler alert* but I had a grin at work all day.
Friends to Frenemies to Lovers to….. is a great way to describe the complex relationship of Paige and Dawson. The sex scenes?? HOT HOT HOT! I will NEVER look at ice cream the same way again.
Ms. Brooke always delivers on the witty and smart dialogue, which is what makes her a definite ONE CLICK author.
Now Ms. Brooke-get writing….on the ones we are ALL waiting for!

This book is absolutely EVERYTHING I love in a romantic comedy! And, undeniably, my favorite so far in the series. It has a kicka$$ story, a too feisty for her own good heroine, a swoon worthy sexy AF hero, and best friends that I want as my own. There’s just something about Paige and Dawson that just sucks you in and holds you hostage. There’s enough sexual tension between them it would take a freaking chainsaw to cut. Their antagonistic ways towards each other and having to always “one-up” the other is foreplay at it’s best.
Paige Iris Traynor-Ashcroft is one of the top wedding planners in LA, even though she abhors the idea of marriage herself. She is sassy, feisty and I love her! Spending her parents’ wedding anniversary weekend in Vegas is the last place she wants to be and finding out just how little she means to them has her drinking her problems away with none other than Dirty Dick Dawson himself. Her nemesis. Her frenemy.
Dawson is one of those guys that you just wanna fall at his feet. He’s sexy, gorgeous and just the right amount of asshole to Paige’s sassy bitchy. They have been frenemies almost as long as they’ve been friends, although Dawson still doesn’t understand why. Their back and forth banter is one for the books and you just can’t help but laugh at their antics. Finding themselves in a bit of a pickle after a drunken weekend in Vegas (thank you Goldschlager!), Dawson does his best to change Paige’s mind and make her see how good they are together, and not just the sex. Because let’s face it, the sex is OFF THE CHARTS!
I absolutely adored every single page of this book. If you’re looking for one of those laugh out loud, want to be BFF’s with the girls and want to keep the man for yourself, then you seriously need to #oneclick this one today. And while you’re at it, you just need to #oneclick Licked and Hooker too. Now, the only thing I need to know is….when do we get Quinn?

Once again, another funny and enjoyable rom-com by Brooke. Paige is an interesting character. She can be over the top and sometimes even harsh and cynical, but she has a lot more to her that she just doesn’t let people see. Her parents, who are terrible people that I hate, have messed with her head and how she views relationships and marriage. It takes a lot of effort by Dawson to get her to open up more and break down her steel walls to show she has a heart and cares. Paige and Dawson’s fights and banter are comical. They’re basically always bickering about something. They don’t have a typical, normal path to their happily ever after by any means, but it works for them as they do as a couple. I’m hoping Quinn will eventually get her own story, I’m very curious about her and what she does for a living.
*5 Stars*
I think this was my favourite book of the series. I love all these characters, but Paige and Dawson and their frenemies type relationship and then everything that happens from the night of Paige’s parents party -oh boy what a ride.
These two have an interesting relationship. Something has clearly happened in the past between them, particularly given that they used to be such good friends, and they’re not. I was very intrigued about finding out what had gone on in their past.
I love how these two were constantly trying to one-up each other, constantly throwing sass and/or shade at each other, and when they weren’t – their chemistry is off the charts.
There’s more to both of these characters than you realise, and its a really fun journey learning about them and finding out if they’re going to get their HEA or not.
All of faves are back from the previous books, and boy is this group of friends fun or what. I need me some friends like that.
I truly loved reading this one, and I’m really hoping that we get a book for Quinn.
Highly recommend.
