Murdered artists. Masterful forgeries. Art crime at its worst.
As an insurance investigator and world renowned expert in nonverbal communication, Dr Genevieve Lenard faces the daily challenge of living a successful, independent life. Particularly because she has to deal with her high functioning Autism. Nothing — not her studies, her high IQ, or her astounding analytical skills — prepared her … analytical skills — prepared her for the changes about to take place in her life.
It started as a favour to help her boss’s acerbic friend look into the murder of a young artist, but soon it proves to be far more complex. Forced out of her predictable routines, safe environment and limited social interaction, Genevieve is thrown into exploring the meaning of friendship, expanding her social definitions, and for the first time in her life be part of a team in a race to stop more artists from being murdered.

Another crafty approach to a mystery.
I enjoyed this. I’ve worked with highly functioning talented autistic folks and have seen some of these characteristics. It added a different interesting twist to the story. Thanks!
I enjoyed reading this from the perspective of someone who was neuroatypical.
We have preconceived notions of what mental illness is and how autism effects people. These notions are only a tiny bit of what really goes on inside the head of someone who is autistic. This book shows far more of what being autistic is like and how someone who is autistic struggles to be a part of “normal” society when that struggle never ends …
So good I had to buy more in the series!
This is one of the better books that I have read in a long time. I really like the fact that the main character is atypical, but she can still get along. Wonderful story, I think I will be reading the rest of the series.
Surprised very good
I thought I saw the ending coming, I was wrong. Having a wife that has worked with autistic people she liked the believable lead character.
This series is a total blast!
Focused too much on characters autism, hard to follow plot line.
WONDERFUL characters!!!
I enjoyed seeing the world from the eyes of the intelligent highly-functioning woman with autism. Meeting people who admire her and also allow her to be herself, she seems to be on-tour in her own life, seeing and learning things about herself and others she’s been unable to explore before. This reads as if it were written to be a movie, and I …
I liked her books so much I bought all of them and put my name on a list to be notified when a new one comes out. I also recommend her books to friends!
Love this series …
