Book 2 of The Torn DuetLife is made up of choices. Single choices like bricks laid out in a path. A path that leads to your future. At twenty four years old, I would have never guessed I would be stuck between two men—two men from opposite spectrums of the universe.Their lives, their worlds, their demeanor is as different as the darkest of nights and the lightest of days.I love them both, but I … days.
I love them both, but I have to choose.
There is only one choice I can make.
And I choose forever.

Choosing Forever begins where Torn Between Two left off. Sam still battling over which love to choose. Josh is the safe choice and the one that will protect her. Hawke is more explosive and unpredictable. In Choosing forever you will be pulled in and will watch the struggle that Sam goes through as she carries the baby of either Josh or Hawke. I love the ending to this. You feel the pain in the chooses made and will end up loving everyone involved even the ones you didn’t care for. There is so much love in this one as well as heartache. I couldn’t get enough of Choosing forever.
A Great Ending
This is the second book from the Torn Duet and and it picked up where book one left us with such a cliffhanger!! How to pick? Would you want the handsome, caring Josh who knows how to truly love a woman working his way through law school so he can help children OR do you pick the hot rock star who is definitely on the road to self destruction and has you believing that he would change his bad boy ways if you would stay by his side.
There are so many ups and downs and surprises that leave you with your mouth hanging open. You will feel true love, deceptions and heartbreaking scenes that will have you turning pages as fast as you can to see where this author is going to take you.
This is the second book in this duet and i’d highly recommend not reading this one until you have read the first, Torn Between Two.
This book takes up where the first one left us, and i have to say if you thought the first one emotional, you in for a roller coaster !!!
In this book we are desperate to know who Sam choose’s, Hawke or Josh. Both men love her, even though there are huge differences between them it’s something that emotionally Sam just can’t fathom. Her obsession with Hawke is just as strong. Josh is still there, unconditionally supporting her. This is truly a battle and you just know Sam and her heart are going to take a battering which ever way the story goes and i am not going to give that away.
I both loved and hated this book, it went the way i wants and then it didn’t. Drama and angst by the bucket load that had me not able to put it down. This author leads us through so much in ways that will crush you and lift you again and again. What i expected to happen didn’t yet what happened i did. Do I sound confused?? I am but only because my emotions have yet to catch up!! I am not always a fan of triangles but this was written perfectly and kept you engaged totally the whole way through. Absolutely loved this Duet and i’d highly recommend it !
Choosing Forever reunites us with Samantha and the two men vying for her heart. While Josh has become the one she leans on, and the one she spends all her free time with, Hawke still has a hold on her heart. Things between them have become estranged, and she knows he is struggling with the lifestyle he leads, but she is trying her best to let him go permanently. But just when she starts to fall into the perfect life with Josh, Hawke comes back around, and reeks havoc on heart and relationship.
This one is a heart-squeezer, watching Sam being pulled in two directions, and struggling to figure out who is worthy of her heart… darn near broke me. My heart hurt for her and all she had to go through to get her happily ever after, while there was lots of drama and heartbreak, there was also a lot of heart soaring moments too. I must say I am quite impressed with this first time read, it’s words were addictive and brimming with feeling, and it’s characters were easy to connect to, I adored them. If you are a love triangle lover like me then I have no doubt this one will be right up your alley, it delights on all fronts!
I requested an advanced copy of this title from the publisher, and I am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion.
“They said it took one moment, a split second, to make a decision that could change the rest of your life.”
Team Hawke.
Team Josh.
I was on both of them at some point in this journey. Then there was this MASSIVE fork in the road for me and my cheering for one team or another lead to my front runner. I will not tell you further what team I was on because there is more than one point to triangle. Especially when it is a love triangle.
Fantastic duet!
4.5 STARS!!
Torn Between Two must be read before starting this book. This book blew me away in the drama sense. Sam(princess, sunshine), Hawke and Josh will pull at your heartstrings. They will have you loving them one minute and hating them the next; well Sam and Hawke will. There were times I wanted to throat punch Sam while screaming don’t do it! I absolutely adored Josh’s character, I felt so sorry for both him and Hawke and as much as I wanted to dislike Hawke, I just couldn’t. It had an ending that I never expected but also left me with a smile on my face. I will definitely be reading more books from this author.
4.5 STARS!
I started this book at midnight, thinking I would read a couple of chapters and then ended up finishing it at 4 a.m. Initially, I wanted to read where the cliff-hanger from book one would lead, but I just couldn’t stop reading. Mia Kayla did a great job keeping me invested and the pages turning. From the point of the cliff-hanger’s resolution, I continued to be lulled by the romance, shocked by some revelations and soothed by a HEA. I even shed some tears. This book really did run through the gamut of emotions. I’m excited to see where Mia Kayla takes us next, because she did a marvelous job with The Torn Duet.
4.5 forever stars!
What a way to excerise your mind! It was constantly spinning with the thoughts flowing through your mind courtesy of that cliffy in Torn Between Two (The Torn Duet #1) and new questions that seems to never end divided between two people: Hawke Calvin from Def Deception and the lawyer, Joshua Stanton that Samantha Clarke has a deep connection with.
“You know how I feel about you. You don’t have to ask me because you already know.”
The heart wants things whether it is good for you or not. Determining whether you want to take the risk on someone who has a life that is fast paced and constantly surrounded by fans and questionable situations or someone who is compassionate and stable with a plan for the future?
“I don’t know what I’d do without you, Sunshine. I love you, baby, so much.”
With both men Sam has a common indirect connection from each of their background history that they have from their personal lives and tends to make it challenging to figure out what is good for her. One who is his light in his darkness where she sees a side of him that no one else understands and the other man who has a way of comforting Sam from a past she has a hard time letting go and can open up to him in ways she has rarely opens up about to anyone. Is she savior or does she need to be saved?
“I just want to know if it was real, y’know?” His stare became distant. “Because I felt it. The way we were together. I just want to know I didn’t imagine a lifetime with you just because I want to. That you felt it, too. That I didn’t imagine it all.”
Broken over this love triangle has my emotions out of whack. The ongoing drama, the constant back and forth and the surprises were endless and will have you torn into pieces. The chemistry between all parties was off the charts intense emotionally and physically. The honesty was raw and it hurt to no end. The ending had me heartbreaking and heartwarming at the same time. Regardless of what team you are on the characters will take you on a journey that will never be forgotten.
I am writing this review with tears still in my eyes. Mia, how could you put me through such an emotional rollercoaster?! Choosing Forever had me glued to each and every page. I was really concerned about where the relationships between Samantha, Josh and Hawke would go but I really like how it all ended!
Great conclusion
A imperfectly , perfect romance story. Prince charming and his princess get there fairytale ending . There is a few rings of fire they had to jump threw to get where they could have there happiness.I enjoyed this whole duet, it kept me entertained and interested in the story.
This is the continuation in the series. I could not wait to get to read this one. What I anticipated happening, got switched up! If you thought Sam would go for the reliable, stable, clear cut choice, you could be wrong. Hawke is a strong contender even with all his faults; drug abuse, insecurities and demons and I felt as though he really cared for Sam. Hawke trusts no one but is able to let Sam into his life. This might be the extent of what he is able to give to her. Josh has cared for her since they met. The sizzle is there between them as well. He is reliable and stable and treats her like a queen, or should I say his Princess.
This book had me on an emotional rollercoaster. I laughed and cried. It was bittersweet at moments. Wow, just wow! Excellent character development and the plot moved along quickly with all the details you need. This book series is one you will not want to miss reading!!! I loved it!!
