Sizzling hot and full of action, the Elite Ops military romance series is perfect for fans of Suzanne Brockmann, Julie Ann Walker, and Lynne Ray Harris. The higher the risk, the harder the fall.Maj. Missy Malden loves her job, her plane, and its pilot-not that she could ever let him know. He’s way too cocky, way too sexy, and in their job, any distraction is way too dangerous. But when a training … way too dangerous. But when a training exercise spirals out of control, Missy’s in the hot seat, and Conrad’s the only one who can bail her out . . .
Lt. Col. Francis Conrad has always valued Missy too much as his weapons specialist to ever tell her how he really feels. But now that she’s been accused of treason, he can’t sit back and let her fly solo. To keep her safe, he’ll put everything on the line-his career, his heart, and even his life.

I’ll start by saying I didn’t read Aces Wild and had no problem following this story. I’ll also skip a summary because the one given on the book is way better than anything I can write, lol. Each book appears to show a separate character/couple’s reaction to one event and the ensuing dilemmas that occur. In Wingman, we have Missy and Conrad’s experience after a plane crash involving Missy’s best friend, Elizabeth. Missy is immediately arrested and under heavy suspicion. Conrad is determined to clear her name while keeping her safe.
Wingman was heavier on suspense than romance, however, the fast pace and action filled sequences kept me engrossed, so I can’t complain too much. The romantic aspects I did notice I found highly amusing! Missy and Conrad have been in denial with themselves over the sizzling attraction they have for one another, but with Missy’s determination to transfer posts, Conrad is thrown into a tizzy trying to figure out how to keep his wingman with him, preferably permanently.
Overall, I really enjoyed this book! It was fun, quick, and had fun characters. I can’t wait to see what happens in the next book!
Major Missy Malden loves what she does, and is damn good at her job, and she’d never do anything to jeopardize it… so falling for her pilot would be completely out of the question. Problem is, that it has already happened, now she knows she needs to separate herself from him and the forbidden situation she has created, so she puts in a transfer. But will that really be enough, and what will happen when Conrad finds out the real reason why she is breaking up the indomitable partnership that they have created?
Lt. Col. Francis Conrad is a pilot, a damn good one at that, especially because of the woman who has his back and acts as his weapons specialist. They have a special bond in the air, know each other’s moves before they make them, they worked together seamlessly, like a well oiled machine… but that is about to come to an abrupt halt. Missy has decided to put in a transfer, and Conrad can’t fathom why she would want to leave behind what they have… there has to be another reason. But before he has a chance to figure out why, Missy finds herself in a bit of trouble and he knows he has to help her, knows she didn’t do what she is being accused of…
Wingman is the second offering in the Elite Ops series, and an impressive one at that, it was sexy, suspenseful, and oh so enthralling!! Throughout of the pages of this one you will find a sweet romance story, with a mysterious backstory that continues to brew from the first installment, and it is all blended together seamlessly. Conrad and Missy were wonderfully crafted characters, their touching story drew me in and within the lines of their story I found moments of happiness, heartbreak, excitement and a even a few blush-worthy moments too! Highly recommend this series, Ms.Curtis’s crafty story lines are packed with action (heated and non), and sure to keep you on the edge of your seat!
