LOL!AMAZING!
Entertaining and so much fun that I laugh so hard I cried. Great storyline with sexy chemistry that kept me engrossed and turning the pages. An incredibly cute fun read that I enjoyed and gladly recommend.
Hunter and Taylor have been friends since he moved in with his cousin during high school. He has crushed on her since day one. There were some places where the story jumped a bit. I liked the dual POV, but there was some inner dialogue missing from Hunter; such as why he joined the Marines, him changing his mind with what to do about Taylor, and why he continued to bring Brittney around. The discipline established with the Marines would have given him tools to curb his anger and authority issues. Why is Hunter being a manwhore an important aspect of his personality? Such a great book, you won’t be disappointed.
Taylor Jane comes back home to flip a house and hopes to land the big prize for the competition. Gaining the help of her best friend Hunter, they spend countless hours working to finish the project. Having been friends since childhood, these two were inseparable. Both held feelings for each other but never let it cross the line. Hunter finally gave into the urge but drew back for fear he was like his abusive dad and could not be the man she needed. Friends of theirs knew their bond was strong and questioned why they never took the chance til now. You will get your laughs with the circle of friends these two have and tears when you find out Hunter buys her home as it was her dream when they finished the Reno.

This was a great story with wonderful characters, but I just couldn’t get emotionally attached when I read this. There were parts that were funny and engaging, or emotionally serious, then it’s going back in time, and it kept on like this plus the dual POV’s. I had to stop to think if it was Taylor Jane’s or Hunter’s at times, plus flashbacks stopped a good flow for me.
Friends to finally lovers, the heat finally arrived, with a house flipping in the works, this was a lighter read with an HEA. Not sure I will read more of this series, but I would like to find out if the writing gets more engaging and what happens to the side characters.
