Amazing! I was hooked from the first page and I absolutely did not want it to end. The writing flowed well, and the storyline was great. The chemistry between Gwen and Max was amazing – and I loved how they brought out the best in one another without even realizing it. What more can I saw without giving anything away – you just have to read this one. Although part of a series – this is a standalone book – you won’t be disappointed so pick it up now! I can’t wait for the next book – if only to get a glimpse on Max and Gwen. Keep up the great job Ms. Kriss!
Max Reilly was a shy and broody man. Having being crippled in war and suffering from PTSD he prefers to stay alone and read.
Gwen Maplethorp is a stripper paid to visit peoples house and strip. She has a cold exterior and a conceited attitude. The result of her behaviour is of a past which she is not proud of.
A mis-information of the wrong house brings Gwen to Max’s door. Imagine his surprise when a woman knocks his door and starts stripping. Both couldn’t resist each other which leads to hot encounter that was unprofessional. Max was dangerous man when he needs to be. Gwen was complete opposite. I didn’t like her much. She was mean and cold towards Max making a big deal of a little feeling. She expected Max to tell her about the millions of dollars he had. Why would a stranger tell a stanger about his bank balance? Gwen kind of felt undeserving and I cannot sympathize her past.
This book had a lot of drama, humor and sexiness. I enjoyed this books insta-everything.
Dirty Sweet Wild by Julie Kriss – Oliva’s sister and Devon’s best friend are both a mess, so naturally they meet in the messiest cute meet I think I’ve ever read. Max comes home from Afghanistan after an IED attack with bills, worries, a leg amputation, and PTSD. Devon depositing 5 million dollars into his account after his unexpected inheritance actually makes him freak out more. Gwen is a stripper who gets the wrong address, and ends up at Max’s front door. The two of them recognize something in each other, but they don’t realize the connection until a night out with Gwen and Devon. Gwen’s life is spiraling out of control as her skeezy boss gets involved in drugs. Max realizes that he finally knows what he wants to do with all his money starting with helping Gwen and maybe some of the other vets who come home as broken as he was. Now he just has to convince Gwen that they have what it takes to stop being a mess if they stick together. Love love love Max! Happy Reading!
I really enjoyed this book by Julie Kriss. I quickly fell in love with the characters and the storyline was quick and very engaging. This was my first book by Julie Kriss and definitely won’t be my last.
This was one sexy read! I just flat out enjoyed Max and Gwen! They were both a little damaged yet found something in each other that sparked one heck of a fire keeping things steamy and sweet.
The opening scene took me by surprise, but I am glad I kept on because it turned out to be a good read.
A great book- once started can’t stop.
