Rock star Kit Lockhart can have any woman he wants… any woman except her.Piper Strong is tired of being the innocent one. So what if she’s a v*rgin who avoids booze? That doesn’t make her naive. Why is it she’s supposed to know exactly what she wants at only 19? She studies hard. She hangs out with her friends. She tries to date, but she keeps comparing guys to Kit. And no one has his soulful … has his soulful eyes, or his dark hair, or his deep chuckle.
Kit Lockhart is on the straight and narrow. The brooding bassist is fresh out of rehab and ready to resist temptation. Like the feisty blonde who has been crushing on him for ages. His best friend’s kid sister is off limits. Only she’s not a kid anymore. And no matter how hard he tries, he can’t see her as anything but a woman. A woman he wants in his bed. Now.
Kit can’t stop thinking about her blue eyes filled with pleasure. Her pink lips parting with a groan. Her soft body under his…
He’ll get over it. The two of them together equals the end of Dangerous Noise, and Kit’s not about to lose the only family he’s ever had.

The story kept my interest and I love the characters! I’ve read this author before and I’m glad I grabbed this book.
I’m not big on reading books twice but sometimes when a book is good it just feels right; re-reading Kit and Piper’s story was such a pleasure. I was worried to begin with that, as a re-read, I’d be tempted to skip pages, but I didn’t, not even a paragraph; I was rehooked right from the first line!
I love Crystal Kaswell’s light style of writing, it bounces along the page until it doesn’t; it drops into the darkness to just the right tone as needed to bring out the angst; the itch of addiction; the claw of anxiety; the ache of want! Then the cuteness is back to bring light to the dark to ease that ache with a slow tender hand; scratch the itch with a sharp acrylic nail; cure the anxiety with a smile! This book is full of emotion that will pull at your heart.
Being book two the characters have all been met previously but coming to the front this time are bass player and addict Kit and college cutie Piper. Secret texting, secret dating, secret saving! Will it all work out or will her brothers find out and put an end to everything good that they both have going on?
This is definitely aimed at adult readers with adult content! Scenes between the sheets, against the walls, in the kitchen, in the bathroom or wherever are hot and sexy between consenting! If you don’t like that don’t read this book!!!
I loved this book and totally recommend it and the others in this series to you xx
I received an advanced copy of this book via Booksprout and provide my honest review voluntarily
This a rock romance story that draws you into the world of rock star’s interrelationships with family, band family, and the discovery of true love in unexpected places. Man-whore Kit, bass player for famous rock band Dangerous Noise falls for bandmates Ethan and Mal’s college student little sister Piper. Their relationship begins with friendly texts to a simmer of heat to smoldering want that desires to flame into more with sexting. Big brothers, the rock lifestyle, emotions, and commitment to just each other are obstacles. Seeing how the story plays out to its HEA is one that needs to be re-read over and over. I choose to re-read Crystal Kaswell’s Rockstar and Inked book series as they are unforgettable.
I received a ARC copy of a 3 book collection.
Kit and Piper’s story is beautiful emotional and realistic. Love the way the story is written. Some parts of it is heart breaking but I like the way they are with each other.
Their characters draws you in and makes you want to reach in and help them when the are finding it difficult to express what they are feeling.
They are so good for each other but Kit really need to believe that he deserves to be loved unconditional.
He is damaged and feels he doesn’t deserve to be with Piper but she is determine to save him. They went twist and turns, and fears of their relationship not being accepted by their friends or Piper’s brothers but their attraction for each other was too strong to be denied.
A beautiful story of how love can heal a broken drug addict.
Kit and Piper – Piper is a 19 year old college student and finds herself out of place when she is invited to a New Year’s party that is booze, sex and drugs. Especially when she opens the bathroom door to find a gorgeous guy getting a blowjob – and realizing he is the bassist in her brother’s famous band, Dangerous Noise. He chases after her and gets her to agree to leave the party and she agrees if only he will give her a New Year’s kiss. Although they really haven’t hung out in the 3 years he has been a part of the band, they decide to become friends and when the band leaves on tour the next day they begin texting each other every day of the tour. He is losing the battle of keeping things platonic. He has major issues that he doesn’t want to affect her life and her brothers would kill him for being near their baby sister.
This book is super-hot and steamy! It grabs you from page one and keeps you turning the pages. It will keep you up late at night continuing to read. I found the characters to be real and the book had an amazing storyline. There was a full interaction with other characters in the book and you feel like you are part of their crowd. This book has both Kit’s and Piper’s POV. This is part of a series but is a stand-alone book.
I HIGHLY recommend this book and hated getting to the last page.
Kit and Piper take you to a new level of off limits when they fall for each other. With so much on the line, how do you decide between love and your dreams when you can’t imagine you can have both?
Brilliant
Sometimes you have to have faith in yourself!
This is the second time I’ve read this. I love it as much this time as I did the last. This book, this band, these characters are part of why I love Crystal’s work. Kit is sober but convinced he’ll slip. Plus he finds himself drawn to his bandmates younger sister. Piper is kind of tired of her brothers’ overprotective streak. And being a virgin. She & Kit strike up a more intimate friendship that leads to so much more. Love, love, love!
You’re not supposed to fall for your best friend’s little sister. Especially when getting involved with Piper could mean getting kicked out of the band. But Kit can’t help himself. Piper is such a sweet girl and so innocent. She doesn’t belong in his world. He thinks he will hurt her. But Piper has other plans.
