I’ve decided to have a baby. But, I’m as single as they come.So I jokingly make a list of possible baby daddies. The problem? My best friend White finds the list … and his name’s on top.My panty-melting-hot, best buddy, never-going-to-settle-down best friend. He’s telling me he won’t let anyone else near me.He’s out to prove he’s the only man for the job.I should say no.But i’m not going to…
I need me a man from the Crayola gang
Didn’t realise until I wrote my heading that it rhymes but you will understand if you’ve read the first book! I love the Lucas family and all their crazy antics:) Kayla and White have been best friends, since Green, White’s brother went back to his girlfriend and bailed on Kayla for Prom. Now, Kayla is over being lonely and has decided she is going to marry a man she doesn’t love so she can have the baby she always wanted! When White finds out, he realises he’s going to have to man up and make sure she doesn’t marry anyone else and if she wants a baby so bad, that’s ok, he’ll offer up his baby batter:)
Loved catching up with everyone and happy to see Gray and CC are doing well! Can’t wait for more from this Crayola gang
This is the second book in her series (Lucas Brothers), and just as funny and romantic as the first. I loved this book, and will reread them again just for that upbeat pleasure!!!
I really enjoy the series. White and Kayla have been best friends since they were children. When Kayla informs him she is getting married White will stop at nothing to stop her. She wants a family and her biological clock is ticking double time. She has been in love with White for years, but knowing she can’t have him has pushed her to do something she doesn’t really want to. White insists he is never getting married or having children, but when Kayla tells him her plans something inside him changes. He doesn’t really want a relationship but finds he doesn’t want her having a baby with someone else. Will White realize before it’s to late that his best friend may be the greatest thing in his life? Will circumstances and a broken past keep Kayla from realizing things have changed? I can’t wait to read about the rest of White’s crazy siblings. I love this family.
This was a really cute friends to lover read. I love the friendship that White and Kayla had. I could truly feel how much they cared about each other and seeing the dynamic change was a fun ride. Add in all the other great Lucas siblings and their mom, they all helped make this book great. I can’t wait to get the others books. Green has to be the one I’m most excited for. 4 stars #2OCCJD
Kayla and White are making a baby pact that is absolutely wunderbar! Kayla has decided she is no longer waiting for what she wants. She wants a baby and by golly she is going she get one. Ideally she would wants to have one with White Hall Lucas her best friend and the man she is hopelessly in love with, but since he has never even remotely seen her as anything close to resembling a woman that is never going to happen – so she is going to have to settle for whoever will volunteer. White never wanted kids or a relationship – woman in general are not to be trusted for the most part. Outside of family the only woman he can count on is Kayla and with her new baby plan she is now throwing him for a loop. He cannot let his best friend throw her life away on some loser and she is determined to have a baby… so it looks like he will just have to man up! In giving Kayla her heart’s desire White soon discovers she was everything he never knew he wanted, but can he convince the leery Kayla that this is real?
“There’s a moment in your life when you are faced with decisions and there are two very clear paths to take. It’s just that the reasons to take each path aren’t quite as clear. The reasons are muddied with outside factors that leave you unsure of which direction to take. That’s where I’m at: facing two different paths and afraid to move.”
I adore this series. Simply put, it’s always full of such simple joys as I’m reading them. The characters are like family, each one so completely endearing, real, and so overtly the perfect people that you love to spend time reading. There are parts in this book, I re-read fanatically and just laughed and laughed.
White and Kayla were a beautifully awkward, yet perfectly matched friends to lovers romance. Jordan Marie’s unique storytelling lends humor, sweet romance, detailed backstories, fabulously steamy intimacy, all wrapped up in a wonderfully smooth delivery. I feel so good reading this series, it’s just pure happiness within the pages. As always you have the perfect combination of angst, antagonism, emotion, and laugh-out-loud-moments that keep you wanting more. I can’t wait for more of this zany, lovable crew! Thank you to the Author for providing a copy to review.

WOW!!!! The Lucas Brothers just keep on getting better and better!!! What a fantastic series this is!!!! This is the second book in this series and there are four more brothers and several sisters, so I’m sure we will see more of the funniness that is a Jordan Marie Rom Com!!!
White and Kayla have been best friends most of their lives. They tell each other everything, or so White believes. But when he finds out that Kayla is getting married, and he didn’t even know she was dating, things start to get really interesting.
Kayla has loved White for forever. But she knows he will never love her the same way. So when her biological clock starts spinning out of control, she doesn’t expect White to step up and volunteer. After all, he doesn’t want kids. So what’s a girl to do when they only man she’s ever loved decides he’s going to give her what she wants most in the world?
Come along and find out. But be prepared to laugh, cry, and even throw your kindle, cause this book runs the gamut of feelings!!!
A good read, fairly well written. I like this series, but book 2 was a little more predictable and didn’t have as good a flow as book 1. Love Ida Sue and the including of previous characters!
Loved it!
