Real in a good way. Paige was so realistic that I felt her pain. Sterling was pretty, nice, and completely perfect. The real winners were the flawed secondary characters. Everyone had depth and dimension. The plot, focus, and writing weren’t stellar but the characters gave it a bit more than average. It was a good book.

I purchased a copy of the novel Not In Her Wildest Dreams (Secret Dreams Book 1) by Dani Collins and this review was given freely.
A wonderful balance of steamy and angst. In this twisted romantic suspense about greed, lust and a second chance at love, newly divorced CPA Paige Fogarty leaves Seattle to return to Liebe Falls, Washington to care for her dysfunctional extended family only to discover mismanaged funds at Roy Furnishings, a small town cover up, and that she is still attracted to Mr. Roy’s son.
Contains some violence and mild bondage.
A company owned by two men, both wanting to sell sell, but an audit creates problems, plus multiple affairs causes hatred and jealously
With mystery threaded throughout
Wow! Not In Her Wildest Dreams by Dani Collins is a fantastic read. Ms. Collins has provided readers with a well-written story and furnished it with an outstanding cast of characters. Paige is in town because her father had a heart attack. Sterling is one of the town’s favorite son’s just home for a few days. They are both hijacked into working at their father’s furniture factory. This second chance romance is loaded with drama, humor, steamy sexy bits, action and suspense. I enjoyed this book from cover to cover and look forward to my next book by Dani Collins. Not In Her Wildest Dreams is book 1 of the Secret Dreams Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.
Romeo and Juliet of the bad and good .. or are they …. got a little steamy at one point. Was twisted several times. easy and fast read.
Such realistic characters, I wondered if I was reading a true story. So often in life, there are misunderstandings and failures to communicate, and hurt feelings that never get resolved…it took years and tears, but they get their happy ending.
I got this one as a free download, and when I finished it I had to get the sequel. I enjoyed both books immensely.
Entertaining story with wonderful characters.
This was a good story, but it dragged on a little. I typically love this author, but most of her books are better than this one. It is still worth reading as she has good character development and it has an interesting story line.
Good read.
Ithis book was interesting to read up to the end. I love The Who done it part best!
I really liked this book
A original storyline. Really enjoyed.
Love this book, page turner, & great characters!
I’m not sure how long I’ve had this book on my Kindle but what a huge and wonderful surprise it was … one of the best I’ve read in awhile. I read constantly and usually have way more books downloaded than time to read them so if I start a book and it doesn’t grab me, I delete it. This one pulled me in immediately and I so thoroughly enjoyed it. Dani Collins creates characters that are so real, so flawed and redeemable – exactly the kind of story I love. The dialogue (both internal and between characters) is smart and believable. This is an excellent story with an excellent cast of characters surrounding the two main characters whose history you gradually get to know. I loved this book and I’ve already started the next in the series [ONLY IN HIS SWEETEST DREAMS] but I’ve already decided that this is one I’ll read again. Yes – I’m one of those people who’ll go back and reread books that “stay” with me. This one definitely will. Highly recommend.
Enjoyable.
Sterling and Paige’s fledgling feelings for each other were crushed fifteen years previously, so why does he keep checking her out and how come she keeps remembering the kiss they shared all those years ago? A dysfunctional family, financial woes and arson complicate the pair of them getting back together.
