Excerpt:
As we sit on opposite ends in my limo, I can’t take my eyes off her. Her olive skin glistens in the sun as it shines through the window she’s looking through. She hasn’t looked at me since she slid into the car with me. I wonder if she’s upset about my proposal, if she has any regrets … whether she’s preparing for what’s to come.
She should.
This isn’t just some ordinary deal, but she’ll find out soon enough. Then again … she isn’t an ordinary woman either.
I admire her from a distance, but my fingers can’t help but reach for her face. I gently slide back a few strands of her black hair and tuck them behind her ear. Her eyes flash as she turns her head, her face still completely blank. I wonder what’s going on inside that brain of hers. If it’s just as beautiful as her body in that skirt.
I can’t wait to peel it all away, layer by layer, until nothing is left.
My hand caresses her cheek gently. She doesn’t lean away, even though I expected her to, with her feistiness. Instead, her lips tip up into a smile. How strange … and delightfully pleasant.
“Why are you smiling?” I ask.
“For a man who can do anything to the woman sitting next to him, you sure do pick an awfully sweet gesture,” she muses, making me smile too.
“That’s because I’m savoring you for as long as I can before–” I cut myself off before I say too much. I don’t want to upset her. At least, not while I’m in her vicinity. She’d probably kill me if she knew, which is why I won’t say a word until we arrive at our destination.
“Before what?” She frowns.
“Nothing.” I pull my hand back and clear my throat. “Ignore what I just said.”
Her mouth twitches, but she keeps it shut, thankfully. Although I can definitely see her thoughts just from the scowl on her face. I snort.
“What’s so funny?”
“Like I said, nothing,” I say, shrugging.
“Well …” She stares at her nails and rubs one of them profusely. “If this is how it’s going to be for almost an entire month, then I guess this is going to be easier than I thought.”I raise a brow.
“How so?”
She smirks. “Because not talking is boring as f*ck.”
I laugh. “Miss Lee … if there is anything you do need to know is that these weeks are going to be anything but boring.” I lean in so close, I can smell her perfume. Roses and a hint of honey. I close my eyes and take a whiff. Then I look up at her with half-mast eyes, barely able to contain myself. I’d rather just bite her in the shoulder for trying to taunt me, but I won’t. I’ll keep it civil … for now.
“I will entertain you thoroughly,” I muse, as I grab her hand and kiss her palm.

A deliciously wicked and dark read
If you could sum up Wicked Bride Games in three words, what would they be?
Dark Disturbed Hot
What did you like best about this story?
I can not remember the last time I woke up with a book hangover this severe.
There are so many plot twists and “OMG – I never saw that coming”‘s
There was not a moment during this story that I was not on edge, wanting to get to the next scene or tensing my muscles to keep from throwing my kindle or fanning myself to prevent spontaneous combustion.
The chemistry between Max and Naomi is off the charts explosive.
Naomi is the perfect heroine! I am willing to play for the other team if it means she can be my partner!
Max is devious, sinful and sexy as hell; but then so are Anthony and Devon.
What does Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
I did the first half of the book audio only, then I did 25% reading only and finished with both audio and reading. Having the audio made so much of a difference in the tone of the story.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
One of the best scenes is actually the final scene -NO peeking –
Any additional comments?
This is a dark story – don’t take that warning lightly. It is a suspenseful, deadly, dangerous competition and there can only be one bride and she must be willing to do anything and everything to win.
Read ebook and listened to Audio book
This is Book 1 of Indecent Games Duet.
This is the story of Max & Naomi. Max owns a bank. Naomi just lost her job. She gets an invitation to make a lot of money for three weeks. She’s signs a contract, but finds out she has been tricked with what has been left out. There are many dark twists and turns in this story. It is very dark and very twisted, but the last twist is surreal. It is a grueling story. Everything in this book is indecent, and there are of lot games as well. It is very well written, and just enough is revealed at the proper times. If you’re into this kind of reading, then I recommend it.
The Deeper You Go The More Twisted It Becomes! Ambitious, But The Story Isn’t Tightly Packed.
Naomi Lee, twenty-eight, has a heart of stone except for when it comes to her parents, whom she loves to death. She cannot seem to get a break in life. Swamped in overdue bills, it gets worse when she loses her job. She doesn’t surrender to anyone or anything, even when all seems bleak. But a strange letter arrives just as all seems lost. An offer to satisfy all her money troubles and more if she shows up at a given address to meet with a strange man.
Max Marino, roughly thirty, was born into wealth, but never made that an excuse to be lazy. He works tirelessly to make his own fortune, but he really loves the control that comes along with money and with his powerful position. Humility isn’t a word in his vocabulary.
Max owns a bank, which happens to be the same bank Naomi Lee uses. The sadist and deviant in him gets a thrill watching Naomi’s fearless performance as she yells at the loan manager who turns down her application for a loan.
When Naomi turns down Max’s offer of fifty million in exchange for three weeks with him doing anything, anywhere, he knows she will be back. When she does finally return to sign their agreement, he whisks her away to his mansion. But she soon discovers the deception in the contract. She now belongs not only to him, but to his two insane brothers as well. What’s more, she must compete with eight other beautiful women for one of their hearts. Only the three women chosen to be their wives will be paid the promised fifty million. Naomi, determined to win, puts her head in the game and much to Max’s chagrin, refuses to open her heart to the risk of heart-break.
Max and Naomi’s story is not for the faint of heart. They are well-suited for one another. Both are willing to work hard for what they want, and both can easily switch off their emotions. Max’s obsession with Naomi humanizes him, while Naomi does show empathy on occasion in spite of herself. They do earn a HFN.
This dark romance is rather unconventional. The POV alternates between Max and Naomi. The book is nicely written and plot-driven. The plot is very ambitious. The deeper you go, the more twisted it becomes. But the story isn’t tightly packed. There are many holes in the story – in both time and logic – that cause questions and which seem avoidable. The characters are well-defined. There are so many, though! It would have been nice to get more of Max and Naomi. Perhaps an extended epilogue and HEA would have served that purpose. I rate this book 3.5 stars.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
4.5 stars
Dark twisted and crazy as fuck but I enjoyed it. Maybe I’m as crazy as these characters. I enjoyed the strong female character, so smart and devious. I enjoyed the sex scenes too
Talk about in it to win it! This is one sick twisted story that hooks you. Then it pulls you in on all levels and you have to stay because you need to find out what’s going to happen next. The brothers a brutally sick and twisted with their conniving antics and the women are no different. Naomi however sees past what the game is and draws on the brothers antics but she is just as twisted as they are. In the end only one can win and Naomi is playing for keeps! I voluntarily agreed to receive an ARc of this book for an honest review.
“When you aim for the king, you best not miss.”
For me the king of these family duty, dubious consent with escalated trials is Pepper Winter’s Indebted series. Try to tell me this wasn’t inspired by that, I dare you. That is my gold standard. It’s a lot to live up to I get it, but a girls got to have standards.
For me Wicked Bride games just doesn’t make it to the finish line. For starters it needs to connect with you on a human level. I need to care about the heroine and I didn’t. I didn’t want to be her or be friends with her. I struggled to even sympathize with her. Sometimes I even found myself rooting against her so the dang book would end.
Next I need to be begrudgingly attracted to the anti-hero. Like he’s so bad for me that I don’t want to be right. But I didn’t hate to love him. I just flat out hated him. He’s a sub par alpha. He gives too much Information away in weird overshares that make him more akin to an annoying little sister that just read your diary than an interesting plot reveal.
Third the escalating trials/games/debts are mediocre. They are more about attempted shock value than anything else. Unless this is your first dark novel these really aren’t that shocking. And again because I don’t care about any of the characters involved it’s x-rated filler.
Fourth the plot holes. Holy smokes this book is a block of Swiss, just gloriously full of holes. I won’t get all spoilery in this bish but I have questions. Don’t care enough to ask ‘em ’cause I’m so happy it’s over but seriously…
Ending… Don’t think I forgot about you. You super rushed collection of nonsense. It had so much potential too. Like It could have nearly saved this book. It was a pretty fresh take on how these dark troupes go but apparently we hit our word limit and couldn’t fully flesh it out. Honestly it makes me so sad. It’s like if you were watching The Usual Suspects and at the end the tape jams (because I need VHS technology) and you miss the fax coming through so it’s just a cop panicking that Kevin Spacey lost his limp. (If you haven’t watched this by now you didn’t want to. You had decades to catch up and K Space is cancelled anyway.)
I wanted to like this so bad, I’m really bummed it didn’t work for me. Of course if you want to read it don’t let me stop you. I will give the author another chance.
This story is The Bachelor meets Hunger Games. It’s like a game show for rich brothers to find their bride.
Three brothers Max, Devon and Anthony have nine girls completing for $50 million so to break it down the brothers want to fuck all nine girls to see who’s worthy of these rich assholes.
A few things bothered me the amount of money was ridiculous. The girls didn’t seriously think they would walk away with $50 million each did they.
Basically, these girls are to be their Sex slave, they are to do what ever they boys want.
The brothers do some really fucked up stuff like putting cum in their soup I almost gagged reading this. The brothers are psychotic you are reading this thinking what the fuck am I reading.
I know this is called Wicked but it bordered on ridiculous, stupid and just plain disgusting. We learn it’s what their father did with his brothers orchestrated by their grandfather so it’s a family thing. The only thing that saves this story for me is Naomi, she’s kick ass, she was doing this for her parents to get them out of their financial stripe.
There’s no romance, no wooing but the sickening act of these twisted fuck in the head brothers. Not sure who this book should appeal too and I do read dark romance but this goes way beyond that.
~ 3.5 WHAT DID I JUST READ stars ~
Man, Clarissa Wild always does dark and twisted so well. When I finished this book I literally sat there and thought “What the hell did I just read?”
Naomi Lee just lost her and job and is in desperate need of money to help pay for her father’s healthcare. Her number one priority has always been to help support for his care. Faced with desperation and a vague description of the possibility of obtaining millions of dollars, Naomi sets out on one extremely messed up journey that pushes all kinds of boundaries.
I’ve always liked competition games. Especially when you throw in desperate people who will do anything to win. Clarissa takes this desperation to a whole new level. Every single character in this book is some kind of messed up. Things get ugly, violet and downright nasty. Morality is thrown out of the window and the monsters are out to play.
Naomi is certainly a woman that you do not want to cross and she has one evil and brilliant mind. Pair her with Max Marino, who is just as equally wicked and masterful as she is and you have one lethal couple.
This book will test your own morals and make you think about how far you would go for money. I’m sure there are a lot of us that read this thinking that they wouldn’t do any of it but you never really know, do you? That’s what Clarissa makes you question.
Overall, I enjoyed this twisted book that may or may not proof just how messed up I am myself due to the fact of how much I enjoy these fucked up situations.
Wow, just wow.
What a read.
I’m speechless.
I have no words.
That was just all kinds of twisted, dark, down right dirty and I loved every minute of it.

Guys you are just going to have to read Wicked Bride Games to find out.
This book was so freaken twisted and dark, confronting and sinfully delicious, I still can’t believe I just read what I did.
But guys I absolutely loved every single minute of it.
So detailed and written with such depth you can’t help but feel the emotion pouring from the pages.
You can’t help but be drawn to it.
You just need to read it to understand it and appreciate it’s darkness and beauty.
But be warned…..Nothing and I mean nothing is what it seems. If you think for one second you have it worked out. Think again. You won’t. I know I didn’t and still after finishing it I’m still speechless.
I can’t recommend this book highly enough.
If dark, dirty and gritty with a twist is your thing you need to read this. You won’t be disappointed.
5 stars.
There is a bunch of crazy shit going on in this book and I have to say it doesn’t bother me. This book comes with a clear warning and if you read this book after reading those warnings you only have yourself to blame for not liking some of the disturbing content in this book. But I stopped reading this book because it has become overwhelmingly hard to continue to read about Naomi. At first I thought she was a really strong minded, smart character, but that is not the case. I could get over her money hungry thinking even though she is nowhere close to having riches. I could deal with her conniving ways a little in order to survive in Max’s house. But her wishy washy emotions gave me whiplash. I soon despised her all together. Naomi is just as devious and cold as the Marino brothers, but condemns them for their actions when each girl has the choice to stay or leave. As much I like Max, he is clearly easily manipulated by Naomi spilling every little secret to her. I need a break from these annoying characters before I blow my brains out.
I have to say I really enjoyed this twisted story. It is most definitely not for everyone. There are some crazy unexpected scenes that take place and I was breezing through the pages to see what wicked game the brothers would come up with next. Each girl has a choice to leave at any point in time, but while they act disgusted and repulsed, most of them never make an attempt to leave. I did feel bad for Lauren though. I liked this books unique, dark, and twisted story.
Updated review
I officially hate Naomi. She is nothing more than a manipulative, conniving, money hungry, power hungry vixen. While in most books I would cheer for the woman to come out on top, I think she is the worse. I get that she’s living in eat or be eaten world and I understand her need for revenge for all she’s been put through, but I think her ultimately making Max her bitch was too much. I’m not sure the woman even know’s how to feel or love. I.DID.NOT.LIKE.NAOMI.
So yes this book disappointed me to no end and the ending just made it worse. While I enjoyed this story and all the crazy twisted shit that went on, Naomi killed this book for me. I could have loved this book.
There’s a nice little warning attached to the end of the blurb, you should read it. You should pay attention to it because this book is dark, twisted and sure to press some people’s buttons. So don’t ignore it, if it’s not for you then move on. But if your going in, be prepared!
Fifty million dollars for three weeks of your life in the hands of a total stranger. Would you do it?
I thought about this, thought about all the horrible things that could happen in that time frame. What kind of person I could be stuck with for 21 days. None of it prepared me for the men in this book.
I loved Max early on, but I swear I kept waiting for the author to throw a wrench into that and make me hate him as much as I did some others.
Naomi is strong, I love that about her. She’s smart and knows when to push and when to play the game. I adored that about her throughout this book.
She’s down on her luck but takes a chance, but in taking that chance she doesn’t go in completely blind. She’s intelligent enough to stack the deck in her favor before she ever walks through the door.
Lucky for her Max is the one who wants her, otherwise I’m not sure how this would have turned out for her. Anthony could possibly be handled but Devon is the devils right hand man I swear it. Demented doesn’t quite cover him.
Wicked Bride Games is dark. D-A-R-K. It’s not some sweet little love story you can read as you drift off to sleep, nope it’s gritty and at times sickening but it will keep your little black heart glued to the pages until the very end. No way was I putting this down in order to sleep.
From beginning to end the balance of power and the need to control were obvious and fun to watch. And though some parts of the end were unexpected I knew who was coming out on top!
Wicked Bride Games is ridiculously insane. Three wealthy brothers and nine broke girls. And the winning bride gets fifty million dollars.
The games are intense and dirty. There are also some sexual scenes that are disturbing. As the POV switches between Naomi and Max, the reader gets to experience everything going on from different angles.
Naomi and Max know what needs to be done in order to have it all. So, get ready for some drama and bloodshed.
This book should be called The Bachelor on crack. All rational thinking has gone out the window. I found the conclusion to be a little disappointing. But overall, this erotic and crazy story was highly entertaining.
