He owes her two people. She’s only taking back one.Jessa McConnell conspires to get pregnant by Jax Andersson, commander of HERO Force and the man she holds responsible for the death of her husband and unborn child. She assumes a new identity to make sure her secret isn’t discovered, but ends up fighting for her life when she inherits a book intended for the other woman.
Her plan was simple Jax would provide the swimmers and she would get the baby she lost. He didn’t need to know anything about it. But of course plans didn’t go as planned.
Jessa is pregnant and hiding so her baby daddy, Jax, won’t find out. But she is in danger because of her assumed name. Jax finds out she is pregnant and that she did it on purpose. He’s determined to keep her and his baby safe even if he has to kidnap her to do it. Jessa has lots of anger and grief to work through even over 2 years after losing her husband and baby. Jax has guilt and grief to deal with because of losing his best friend.
Known as Tin Man because of his strict control over his emotions, Jax feels his heart cracking when he goes to visit the widow of one of his best friends and a fallen hero, to let her know that Ralph’s killer has been dealt with. Feeling devastated, Jax is surprised when Jesse later approaches him, leading to a one night stand. However, his surprise leads to disappointment when she turns her back on him and walks away. Only a woman who has lost a baby truly knows the extent of the pain that Jesse was experiencing. If it wasn’t enough that she lost her husband, she lost her child a well and having to blame someone, she pours all her anger and resentment out on Jax. The story picks up quickly after that as Jax and his team are in a race against time to discover why someone wants Jesse dead and the significance of the inheritance she receives in the name of her assumed identity. This is a fast-moving plot, with an emotional twist, and humour interspersed with the rising tension. Although part of a series, as with other books, this is a standalone and comes to a humourous close. I received a copy of this book as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.
Sheltered by the SEAL: The Inheritance
HERO Force, Book 2
By: Amy Gamet
Narrated by Janelle Tedesco
When Jessa unexpectedly loses her husband and then miscarries their baby, there is nothing to do but grieve and place blame. When Jax, the one person she blames the most for Ralph’s death. comes in with news, she makes a decision to seduce him. After all, the least he can do is provide her with a child. But there is something she did not count on. Feelings. This is a great love story with a few suspenseful twists. Gamet has woven a great story into this budding relationship. It’s enemies to lovers, with a thrilling adventure of false identity, inheritance and greed. It’s fast paced, at times exasperating and passionate. Looking forward to Cowboy’s story next!
Narration continues by Janelle Tedesco, bringing the characters personalities to life. She has a great way to bring the over protective feelings out with her voice, the angry, grieving, yet conflicted widow sound and it’s just a great entertaining listen. I am loving this series.

4.5 Stars
The two MC’s, Jessa McConnell and Jax Andersson are great characters. You really feel connected to them. They are very well written.
There is suspense, action, twist and turns on virtually every page. It definitely keeps you involved in the story.
The writing itself flows easy and smooth.
I really enjoyed the story.
I did find 2 minor errors. But my only real problem with them is the intimate scenes. They tend to be a bit rushed and not quite detailed enough. They really need to be more descriptive. They just need to be taken up about 2 notches. They will start to get steamy, then fade to black. Until I see her up these sections of her stories, I cannot give her more than 4 stars.

Much better than the first book in series
Coarse language and explicit sex, but very likable characters.
I am hooked on the SEAL series by Amy Gamet. I’m in search of the other Inheritance books. My heart broke and soared in this book.
Very good book and a page turner. Makes you want to read the others, which I am.
