The road to hell is paved with good intentions… him.
Then he meets her. One of his club member’s sister, and his whole outlook on life changes.
And not for the better.
Just as surely as he ruined his life, he ruins her life, too. One lapse in judgement on his part, and his one night of happiness turns into the worst nine months of his life.
Which he would’ve thought was damn near impossible with the things he’s done and seen.
She never saw it coming…
It was the beard. The beard made her do it.
That is a good excuse for having sex with a man she barely knows, isn’t it?
Yeah, who was she kidding? It wasn’t the beard. It was the way he looked so dejected and solemn. The sad look in his eyes pulls her in, and the way his rough hands touch her makes her stay.
All she wants to do is take that look out of his eyes, but the consequences to her actions only make things worse, not better.
One day is all she gets, and he’s not willing to give her more.
Until she dies, that is. Then it’s too late.

when Apple was first introduced when he was just a prospect, i knew that there was something that made him the way that he way. was he perfect, no. Kitt was someone that her brother babied because of her condition. Apple was the first person to treat her like there was nothing wrong with her. their one night together wasn’t enough for Apple, but he was determined that he wasn’t good enough for her. and that there was no way that she would want anything to do with him if she knew what he did before he moved into their town. but when they finally come together and actually get to know each other, their connections grows.
there are moments that happen that show that Kitt isn’t the shrinking violet that people think she is. and Apple is finally coming to terms with his past.
these two together are a good match.
Bad Apple – book 4 in the Uncertain Saints MC could be read as a standalone but I highly recommend reading them all in order.
Apple “Core” Drew is closed off. He’s surviving each day, barely, living with guilt and the MC is the thing that saves him. It gives him that tiny bit of hope, something to keep him going.
He has a tortured past that makes waking up each day a painful experience and making it through each day tough. Prospecting for the Uncertain Saints has given him purpose, an outlet, something other than constantly reliving his past.
Kitt has her own struggles. Living with an illness that causes her brother to be more than over protective, he babies and virtually smothers the heck out of his baby sister.
Kitt & Core have alot in common, their bother pretty broken people and in most cases you need one person to save the broken hero/heroine but in this case these two are just what the other needs.
Things seem to be going great until one little slip up pushes Core away. He can’t be the reason Kitt’s life is ruined, he refuses to be the man that destroys her. Little does he know staying away does more to hurt her than being by her side ever could.
When danger comes into Kitt’s life will Core be around to save her?
I can never truly express how much I love these books. All the MC members are broken or tortured in some way and their stories at times break your heart but their brothers are always there to save them from themselves, to get them through whatever they face one day at a time. Then you throw in the unbelievable women and this series will have you addicted from the first book.
Apple gets 5 stars, he’s a truly amazing man to move on and become what his family needs after all he’d been through.
No bad apples in this book
I really enjoyed this book. Both Apple and Kitt think of themselves as the bad apples and not deserving of a happy ever after, but once these two meet there is an instant attraction they both fight and eventually give in to causing a major life change for them both.
I would recommend reading this book.
5 Stars
Lani Lynn Vale has done it again! She’s a machine I tell you! I’m not sure how she pumps out book after book, month after month, but she does and I FLOVE her for it! LLV is a go to, “auto click” author for me. She always brings a story full of feels that will grab a hold of your heart on page one, and hold it hostage until the last page. It’s always a story that you can relate to, and her quirky sense of humor just adds so much more.
Apple “Core” Drew, the newest prospect for the Uncertain Saints MC, is as lost and broken in his own eyes as they come. Living with a secret from his past making him feel unworthy of anyone’s love, but he just can’t seem to get Kitt off his mind. The younger sister of his MC brother, Ridley, Kitt is feisty, quirky, and I absolutely fell in love with her. She is straight forward and will tell you how it is with absolutely no filter. She is determined to make Apple realize he loves her despite what’s happened in the past, and he is just as determined to push her away because he feels he is no good for her. This story is raw and gritty one minute with some dark undertones, and will have you laughing at Kitt and Ridley’s sibling antics the next. This story gives you hope, fills your heart with warmth and has you wishing all their dreams come true.

Core & Kitt are intense and emotionally beautiful! Elizabeth @ Carolina Chic’s Read
Kitt very clearly wants one man… Core! She is determined to have him for at least one night… she doesn’t have an easy life and she wants to live for a change. She has a life that is protected and guarded by her brother. You see… she has a medical condition. She is watch and protected all for her own good.
She never expected to find happiness and forever with Core. He never expected to feel so much with her. Ow she is his everything. Now he is her protector… and she needs one with a stalker watching her.
I’m going to start by saying I enjoyed this book. I found it to be entertaining, suspenseful, and intriguing. That being said, I wanted to shake Apple and Kitt so many times. They went back and forth, and at times acted childish. But again, I loved this story. It touched on so many things that it explained why they were reacting to everything. This was a delightful journey to go on.
Another fantastic book from Lani Lynn Vale. The story of Kitt and Apple is one of sex, love, heartache and forever. Two f#%cked up people as Kitt describes them that need each other. This story has the usual quotes before each chapter that I have come to look forward to in Lani’s books. This book gives you laughs, hot alphas, strong female and a love that makes your heart swell. My favourite part is Ridley finding the butt print on the bonnet of his car.
This is the fourth book in the Uncertain Saints MC series. They are stand alones, but each book, and characters, are awesome. I have loved all the books in this series. And this one is no different.
Lani Lynn Vale is one of my favorite authors. When I see a new book by her, I drop everything and read it. I was even happy about my baby’s middle of the night feedings, because it gave me an excuse to read more.
Kitt is Ridley’s younger sister. They live together. She does have a health issue. I love how she took control and told Apple exactly what she wanted from him. I was laughing so hard at that
I am surprised Ridley didn’t give Apple more shit for the ass print he found on his truck though.
Apple “Core” Drew is a prospect with the Uncertain Saints. He is messed up in the head some though. But you can’t fault him for it. Once you read what he has been through, you’ll understand. I really felt for him.
Both these characters are stubborn. I love it, but there are some major misunderstandings because of it.
Kitt is freaking awesome. I love what she did to protect herself at the end.
Just like in all the other books, the chapter intros are so funny and great.
“I’d call you a cunt, but you don’t have the depth or the warmth.”
“Sex is like a gas station. Sometimes you get full service, others you have to ask for service. And sometimes you have to be happy with self service.”
So yes, I say read all of Lani’s books… I mean why wouldn’t you… they are freaking awesome; but that being said this is book 4 so don’t be like that person that just starts in the middle of a series…. we will just question your sanity.
You would think that after having so many stories, they would start to fade into each other.. or sound the same; but they don’t. These characters are always their own… if that makes any sense. Apple is…. a bit damaged and Kitt is…… well Kitt has her own issues. I can tell you my heart broke a couple times for Apple, and I loved how Lani spun their story.
I’m not going to spoil anything, and just say with some…. really freaking hot sexy time, drama and misunderstandings, and a bit of violence this is a 5 star all the way.
LOVED this book! Read it in one night.
Bad Apple is one of my favorite Lani books. I love Apple Core! He is a prospect for the Uncertain Saints and a badass. He loves hard.
Previous books from Lani Lynn Vale depended heavily on outside interference (bad guys!!!!) to create relationship drama between the hero and heroine. While there was some of that in this story, there were more problems due to internal factors (character history, medical problems, etc). It gave the story a different feel than previous books. I enjoyed this, because it gave the story more realistic feel, and made the characters easier to relate to.
Another great read the way the H handles the h epilepsy is heart warming
