Matchmaking guru Kennedy Pepperdine’s life is perfect. Perfect job. Perfect friends. Perfect boyfriend. Except…when she gets trapped in an elevator with a handsome stranger, she accidentally confesses a secret: maybe her perfect boyfriend, Justin, isn’t so perfect for her after all. But a matchmaker should be able to successfully match herself, right? Thankfully, she’ll never see the handsome … handsome stranger again. Until she heads home with Justin for the holidays and learns that the sexy stranger is none other than Justin’s older brother, Matt.
Matt Ellis is trying to be on his best behavior for his mother-it is Christmas, after all. But when he recognizes the beautiful woman from the elevator-the one he hasn’t been able to stop thinking about for months-his best behavior is being held by a thread. Matt’s always sacrificed for his family, and nothing is more important than their happiness, but the more time he spends around Kennedy, the more he wonders if her supposed “right match” might just be the wrong brother.

WRONG BROTHER, RIGHT MATCH is a cute, funny and heartfelt Christmas read that won’t fail to keep you warm!
This is my first read by Jennifer Shirk and I was completely enchanted! I loved the premise of the story, but I was worried that lines might be crossed, because I don’t like and will easily discard cheater books. This had none of that. Well maybe a stole kiss between two strangers in an elevator. But the author kept it classy.
Kennedy and Matt are obviously meant for each other but Kennedy is loyal to her boyfriend Justin, as well as her employees, her cousin and everyone else in her life. And Matt is responsible, a little broody and completely dreamy. Even though he was developing feelings for Kennedy, they both were able to keep themselves in check and remember that Kennedy is Justin’s fiancé and Matt is Justin’s brother. And sometimes it sucked to remember that!
Both characters have their baggage but always seemed to put others in front of their own happiness. Which is admirable, but not healthy for either of them. Kennedy and Matt paired beautifully together and I greatly enjoyed their story.
I also enjoyed reading about the secondary characters. I loved Matt and Justin’s mom and sister. They were fun-loving, strong women with soft hearts and unconditional acceptance towards Kennedy. Even after things started getting messy!
Overall, the book is delightful and everything you want in your Christmas read! I highly recommend it to all readers!
***I’d like to thank the publisher for generously offering me a copy of the book in exchange for an honest review. All conclusions reached are my own***
I really enjoyed this book and had a hard time putting it down. It’s not my typical steamy read. It’s more like a Hallmark movie. It was cute and reminded me of While You Were Sleeping.
Kennedy Pepperdine strives for perfection in everything she does…but as much as she tries there is one part of her life that isn’t as perfect as she had hoped, her love life! She thought her and her boyfriend Justin were meant to be, but the more time she spends with him the more she realizes their just not the match made in heaven she hoped they’d be… now this professional matchmaker must find a way to turn her luck around and finally find her one true love!
Matt Ellis met the girl of his dreams in the most inopportune way, they were trapped in an elevator together, shared a few secrets and some great conversation and then she was gone. Now all he can do is think about her, and the fact that he made a huge mistake letting her walk away…but soon he will get the surprise of his life when she shows up for Christmas dinner at his parents house… with his brother!
After reading the synopsis for this one I instantly knew it would be a fun little read, and I am happy to report that my instincts were spot on, it kept me giggling and smiling the whole way through!! This was my second visit to the series and I have to say I’m really starting to grow fond of Ms. Shirk’s work, her story line was inventive and highly entertaining and her uniquely crafted characters captured my attention and heart almost immediately! If you like light-hearted romance stories with a touch of humor mixed in then this read will be right in your zone! This charming little read is sure to warm your heart and have you dying to make a return visit to the series!!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this title
