These two are so different yet they fit perfectly. And my goodness this book packs a whole lot in a short amount of time. It never stop moving, from suspicious of murder to hot AF sex. Sexy banter, intrigue, some tense moments, and more hot as all hell good times with Lloyd and Luke. Damn I enjoyed the heck out of this listen. Lloyd might be a sub in bed but he sure as heck ain’t one out of it, and I enjoyed seeing him let loose. Luke was just too sexy for his own good. An the narration, oh Joel you outdid yourself on this one. The story was good but the Joel Leslie narration put it over the top for me!
After reading and loving Black Balled I was intrigued to find out that Lloyd had his own story. Lloyd Ledbetter was the lawyer in Black Balled that Larson Blackburn was seeing before he met Troy Babilonia. Guns Blazing is the story of how he finds love when he least expected it.
This was Lloyd and Luke’s story. A story that is the definition of opposites attract as Lloyd and Luke could not have been more different. These two flawed characters had absolutely nothing in common yet they were perfect for each other. The story was hot and steamy with murder, intrigue, suspense and a twist I was not expecting. I enjoyed it and would highly recommend it to all lovers of MM romance.
The audiobook was narrated by Joel Leslie who did an amazing job with these characters. He was able to create distinct voices and bring out their unique personalities, and his pace and timing was spot on. I enjoyed listening to him narrate this novel.
I love this story and the writing style is growing on me. I listened to the first book in this series and was a little overwhelmed but now I enjoyed it very much
No unnecessary descriptions of surroundings
Lots of dialogues
Sizzling chemistry between the characters
Narrator has a distinct voice that I find very nice listening to. Clear pronunciation and read with feelings.
Great mm romance without all the drama, 5 stars overall

I loved this book, it is well written and contains interesting and original storylines that are a perfect blend of drama, angst, humor, mystery, suspense and hot romance. The characters are amazing, Lloyd was first introduced in Black Balled, he was Larsen’s lawyer and lover. I am not going to lie, he came off a bit dickish in that book and I was not sure what to think about him. I am happy to say the authors really did him justice in this book. Is he still a bit of a dick, maybe, but a likable one. He has a good heart, looks out for his own, gives it all he’s got. His anal retentiveness and OCD is over the top and I just loved how Luke handled it, the back and forth banter was hysterical. Speaking of Luke Gunner, the swoon worthy Alpha male who came into his office like a bulldozer, he hides his questionable career behind a legit business and deals with some shady characters. One of whom is setting him up, he needs a good criminal lawyer and heard Lloyd Ledbetter is that man. And for him he turned out to be more than a good lawyer. While Lloyd likes to be a sub in a relationship he is the opposite when it comes to his job, he goes guns blazing into case, gets the ball rolling for the investigation and gets in deep with the bad guys. I loved the twists and turns of this story, also loved the hot and steamy moments and the funny ones, Lloyds thoughts about the motorcycle ride, before during and after, his inner monologue had me laughing out loud. I highly recommend this great story, it is enjoyable and entertaining. It will take you to the edge of your seat at time, fanning yourself other times and will definitely put a smile on your face. Andrea Smith and Eva LeNoir, thank you for another great and entertaining story.
I listened to the Audible edition, Joel Leslie is a terrific narrator and voice performer. He brings the characters to life, gives each their own unique sound making it easy to follow the characters and story. I loved his take on Lloyd, he sounded like a stuffy lawyer at times, his Luke sounded gruff and perfectly alpha. Joel Leslie is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another great listen
Framed for murder Luke Gunner, hirers NYC criminal attorney Lloyd Ledbetter. They have an immediate attraction, they say opposites attract, but can the genius Gunner, handle the OCD’dness of Lloyd.
Funny, intriguing, hot steamy, and endearing, I enjoyed this story.
Joel Leslie’s narration was good for Gunner not so good For Lloyd
After reading Black Balled, I was so happy to see that Lloyd would be finding his happy ever after. Luke is definitely rough around the edges, but when it comes to people he cares about he is a huge softy. I loved watching these two grow in their relationship and the ending was just perfect!
These two… *chuckle*
Lloyd and Luke are definitely of the opposites attract variety and it’s comical sometimes. I like the contrasts. Lloyd gets over Larson (prior book in the series) by getting under Luke… and boy does it work! There’s some mystery and mayhem in store for these two as they navigate the circumstances that brought them together.
This book moves faster and is shorter than book one and while you don’t need to read book one to enjoy two, it’s probably better if you do.
I enjoyed this as part of the Black Balled audiobook boxset. With so many male voices for one narrator to manage, I think Joel Leslie does a pretty decent job.
Story: 4 stars
