Saira is a young woman who has no idea she’s “special”. No one has explained to her that she is descended from a unique family, and if she were to trace one of the strange spirals she finds, she could end up lost in time. So when her mother disappears, Saira survives as she always has – until one night she finds herself transported back to Whitechapel, London in 1888, on the night of Jack the Ripper’s double murders.
And that’s just the beginning…

This is great story telling at its best, a tangible plot with a consistent story line that doesn’t meander off at a whim because the author got bored or distracted. The character development is fantastic one of the key factors in my enjoyment of any book.
If you love timey whimey stuff (if you don’t get the reference I’m sorry we cannot be friends lol kidding) the skips through history where you may actually pick up knowledge the easy way, (why wasn’t school this easy is anyone’s guess.) I’m sure you’ll love these books.
There is a high energy flow to the story and not simply because of the free running, (if I could actually get fit enough I’d probably enjoy indulging in, scoff in my dreams). I am amazed at how much detail are in the book/s on so many different levels without getting so bogged down you’d need a dictionary, a compass and a shovel to get you back on track.
On reflection I have scents of CJ Archer, Cassandra Clare and a little of Patrick Rothfuss which only adds to the overall enjoyment for me and to certain degree a connection with the author.
For what are essentially YA books, the characters are very well developed and interesting. I also appreciate that the relationships feel real. And the plots are thoughtfully constructed.
Wow Amazing! Not really into time travel romances but this is so much more because it has supernatural beings and the time travels is action packed adventure not just romance. I am really impressed with this series and I cannot wait to read book 4.
Love these books, can read them over and over. The characters you learn to love and hate. You travel with them in all their adventures. A must read series.
I LOVE this series! These characters burrow their way into your subconscious and you find yourself wondering how they’d react to certain situations in daily life. I love the way Saira progresses and grows as a character, and the supporting cast could not be more lovable. Clever, clean, original, fast paced, with just enough romance, these books are perfect for readers who enjoy an original series.
I ended up reading the whole series and enjoyed every minute of it
Decent read, but deeper implications of time travel should be investigated.
I love how fantasy and history are interwoven!!!The story stirs the imagination and inspires you never to give up even when it seems all is lost!!!
Best time traveling book series on the planet!
Loved this whole series! Interesting ideas on both time travel and paranormal people couldn’t wait for next book
Neat time travel story with vampires, secret organization, and a little young love. Fun
Writing style was great and the mix of historical facts was terrific. The series was great fun to read and I became emotionally invested with the characters.
Loved this Series of books. Just the right amount of action, parcour, vampires, werewolves, time traveling, romance, shape shifting and a titch of history to make an interesting read. Great brain candy….(nothing too taxing and an enjoyable read)
