Dr. Adam Cassidy knew two things: life isn’t easy and fate’s a bitch. Adam’s last mission cost him an eye, his memory, and any chance of staying with his military brothers-in-arms on Guardian’s Alpha Team. He’d scraped together the remnants of his life. He’d refined, rebuilt and pushed on alone, while every night, sleep tortured him with the fleeting memory of the warm, welcome press of the soft … the soft breasts and lips of a faceless, nameless woman.
Keelee Marshall knew all about loss. She couldn’t forget their brief nights of passion—but Adam had. The man she loved beyond reason had disappeared on the battlefields of Afghanistan. It seemed she would have to win his love all over again, and in Adam’s ignorance, he was pushing her into the arms of a man she didn’t want and a future devoid of romance.
Love can trump the cards fate has dealt both of them. But only if the man holding the cards is a Guardian.

The Kings of Guardian series has become a bit of an addiction for me. I want to just ignore life and stay glued to my kindle until I’ve read them all! Wonderful stories to escape into. Adam’s story is a little lighter in suspense, but that isn’t a bad thing.
-4.5 Stars-
While this book does not have the intensity or hard core action of the first two books in the Kings of Guardian series, Adam is no less entertaining. Adam and Keelee, after a couple of false starts, finally embrace the love they have for one another. Adam’s single minded determination to win Keelee’s heart was wonderful. Keelee wore her anguish over losing the one man she loved stoically. Accepting Adam’s declaration of love after years of loneliness gave her pause but her belief in the man made her open her heart to him.
This wouldn’t be a Guardian’s book without some suspense and action. New characters are introduced, future storylines are hinted at and the Wonder twins made me chuckle as usual. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.
Adam’s story started back in Jacob’s book. For the first 25% or so of this story, it goes through a few scenes from both Jacob’s and Joseph’s books, however they are told through Adam and Keelee’s POV so it’s not really that repetitive.
I’ve liked Adam (“Doc”) from the beginning. He’s such a great guy and will do anything to support and back up his teammates and friends. My heart hurt for him due to the injuries he sustained, but the fact he battled past them was honorable. I was so glad that he finally got his memory back, and thrilled that he wasted no time making things right.
I struggled with my feelings toward Keelee. She acted like a brat on more than one occasion and I just didn’t like her as well as I have the other leading ladies in this series. What I did like was how understanding she was when Adam explained why he had the reservations he did. Keelee’s normal attitude made me afraid of how she would react, but she surprised me which helped a lot with my feelings towards her character. I loved the ending and happy place that Adam and Keelee were at the end of the book.
I’m enjoying this series and liking all these hot military men.
Loved Docs and keelee’s story. Such a good one that was woven and spaced out over the course rod the previous two books. Both have been hurt. Doc has suffered from being hurt by his ex wife who was a horrible me human being. Then to have been in a horrible fight for his life in a mission gone wrong. And then to lose his eye and memory of the last year. It was a up hill battle for those two before the issue they had in their way about his insecurities and trust in women. Then throw in a crazy obsessed abusive ex and then the hits just keep on coming. I love this series and the huge family as well as adoptive family in the alpha crew and their Love, devotion and loyalty of them all towards one another. Can’t wait for next book.
Great third chapter in this series. I’m currently binge reading it. Highly recommend. This story is about Adam, a Guardians of Security doctor who was injured in a mission a few years ago. He lost his eye and his memory. He’s been back on the ranch in South Dakota, but has no memories of the woman he turned away, Keelee. She’s still there, still loving him without his knowing. A threat right next door has occurred, but remains in the background. One explosive chapter brings it all to a head. I love the camaraderie of all the “brothers” and the Wonder Twins, more and about all the Guardians are exposed in every book and am on my way to the next chapter in this series. I’ve definitely found a new favourite author.
I just love getting in amongst this family and their lives The stories flow so well its like a tv series.
