Achilles finally gets to meet his own mate! Truly what a great book!!!! The Kings of the Blood is an absolute must read. What they went through and what they continue to go through to meet their mate is mind boggling but loved every minute!
I have enjoyed the books thus far in this series and Achilles well let me say the author gave us so much more in his story.
We get Achilles aka Lee’s story and how and when he finds his mate but what he doesn’t understand is his mate Juliette some how can mind speak with him and they haven’t even touched yet. Well if you have read the previous books in this series then you know The Gods are always up to something and this book is no different however it’s Juliette’s family that is out to ruin this couples happily ever after. Fantastic story and I love that the author gives so much back story on these two.
This is book #3 of the Kings of the Blood and it’s Achilles (Lee) Giannopoulous on his becoming the third King and his mate, Juliette Bakoyannis’ story. Achilles was brought up by Romanus and when he found out how Romanus died, he wanted revenge against the traitor Xenophanes. He does manage to kill the Persian General but unfortunately, he was caught by the Persians and mercilessly tortured. Just before he died Viktor and Romanus appear before him and explain how they are still alive and why. He agrees to become a King and the third King is reborn.
Romanus knows his mate is Juliette Bakoyannis, a archaeologist and historian and also happens to be a Demi-Goddess. She is the daughter of Hebe, Zeus’ daughter and she also knows that Achilles is her mate. Be prepared for the ride of your life because Ares is on the warpath too. Nothing is easy for Juliette and Romanus. The love they have for each other and the obstacles they must face make for an awesome read.
There is suspense, hot and sexy romance and a few twists & turns. I highly recommend this book and series. Julia Mills never disappoints and looking forward to what she’s going to give us next.
Once again a totally different direction in this series.
This one is full of action but just missed being great for me. I found Lee and Juliette interesting but the story just a bit too farfetched for my enjoyment.
Not a big fan of Gods using people as pawns and playthings. Was happy they outsmarted Ares.
The god Aries is due some payback in this latest story in the series. After living and dying for centuries Juliette finally has a chance to be with Lee and because of Aries maneuvers that almost doesn’t happen. Good thing help comes.
Reading the Kings of the Blood box set which includes books one through three is a fascinating and wonderfully thrilling experience.
First, this is my first time reading any of the Kings of the Blood books and I was completely fascinated with the world and Julia Mills’ intriguing concept of vampires but not yet really vampires, which I finally decided are immortal warriors with vampire like qualities, anyway the whole working for the gods notion worked really well too and made these delightful characters unique and special. The stories are well written and each character is strong, captivating and well developed which made it easy to connect to them and to become enthralled in the stories. Each story has a wonderfully sweet and entertaining romance, blazing hot passion and sizzling chemistry which includes explicit sexual material. The fast paced plots are full of thrilling action and suspense, including some violent content.
Now for Viktor: Heart of a King; Viktor and his soul mate have some really explosive chemistry and the story is full of suspense which keeps readers enthralled until the very end.
Next we have Roman: Fury of Her King; Roman and his soul mate have a bit more action in their romance because they dance around each other a bit. The fast paced plot includes some thrilling action and suspense when Roman is betrayed which keeps readers on the edge of their seat.
And finally we have Achilles: Soul of Her King; this story mixes things up quite a bit by with rule breaking and secrets with the fast paced plot including thrilling danger and excitement from a very powerful enemy.
I can only wish that these stories were bit longer and the stories a bit more fleshed out but I really enjoyed them and the fascinating world that Julia Mills has created, so I am looking forward to Bain’s book which will hopefully be released soon.
