From New York Times Bestselling author, Sawyer Bennett, comes a SEXY new stand alone romance… much virtue left.
That’s why I need Emma Peterson. The sharp-as-a-tack and sexy-as-sin lawyer saved my ass before and I know she can do it again. The only problem is that sweet, prim and totally straight-laced Emma doesn’t want anything to do with me. Not professionally, and certainly not personally.
But c’mon. Everyone wants me, and even though it would take a crow bar of epic proportions to get her to spread those sexy legs for me, all I want is her mind. I swear. Her beautiful, brilliant mind to make sense of my crazy world. Good thing I have something up my sleeve to get her to say “yes”. Some might call it blackmail. I call it something else.
Looks like Emma Peterson just became my biggest defender. If only I can resist wanting to screw my attorney six ways to Sunday.
*Sexy Lies and Rock & Roll is a hot, romantic comedy stand alone.

Emma and Evan are an opposites attract couple. Emma just wants to make a name for herself as a lawyer. Evan needs to have a lawyer for some issues he has upcoming. Emma decides to travel with the band in order to get to know her client and be able to work with him more closely. Well, get to know him and work closer to him is exactly what she does. I love the banter between these two. The banter was real, it made the characters so real. I really enjoyed the way Sawyer Bennett portrayed the lifestyle of a rockstar as we all know it to be. It gave depth to the story and especially Evan.
Joe Arden and Maxine Mitchell narrate this story. They are the perfect voices for Emma and Evan. Emma has an innocence to her when it comes to the lifestyle of a rockstar, as well as in romance. Ms. Mitchell is able to bring this out in Emma. Ms. Mitchell made Emma lovable with her performance. Mr. Arden has a great voice for an arrogant rockstar. Mr. Arden brought Evan to life and even brought out a softer side of Evan. Overall, this narration was amazing and well worth the listen.
Staid, buttoned up, granny underpants wearing attorney and sexy rock star. Not exactly what you’d call a match made in heaven. Evan Scott needed an attorney. Emma Peterson is who he got. From the moment he sees her he wants her. Together they navigate lawsuits, bad press, a concert tour, life on the road, in a tour bus and more. He teaches her how to step out of her comfort zone and she becomes his soft place to fall.
You get just what the title states….great book…quick read because the storyline just flows….angsty… great character development…and even some puppy antics…..dual point of view….no cliffhanger…Sawyer Bennett has an awesome book for you.
Evan is a sexy rock musician who is navigating his way to a solo career. He doesn’t think with his lifestyle he is destined to have any type of long term relationship, but that is what he really wants.
“…just because that was my lifestyle doesn’t mean it was the one I wanted. It’s hard to find a connection with someone when you’re in this business. Everyone wants something from you, and it’s hard to find genuine people. So sometimes, it’s just easier to put that barrier up and not try to get to know someone.”
Emma is a new lawyer, just starting out with the firm where her dad is a partner. She is unhappy there, not practicing the type of law she would prefer. Just biding her time there, paying her bills and continuing to apply to other firms.
Their paths cross when Evan runs into a bit of trouble and needs the services of a lawyer and his aunt, a senior partner at the firm assigns Emma to the case.
“If you’re going to take a risk, Emma… if you’re going to take on the wild side… you need to go big.”
I’m new to Sawyer Bennett books, but if the others are anything like this, sign me up!! I loved the super hot chemistry between these characters and the quirky and fun banter. I was completely entertained from the first page, through twists and turns, to the last page!!
5 Stars!!
Evan really just slays me, “but I Know the minute she locks eyes on my erection because her eyes fly back up to mine, cheeks the color of a fire engine. “Sorry about that,” I say with a grin and a nod downward. “He’s frisky in the morning.” Evan is not a shy man when it comes to his wants, “I so have,” he reassures me. “So prepare to get effed every morning, although I wouldn’t mind a blow job either.” I loved this book, I’m hoping Evan’s other bandmates get a book
Sawyer is always bringing something new to the table. She killed this genre! I love Evan. He has to be one of my favorite male characters of hers. I love that there is some “legal spice” to it as well.
