In the first book, Mystery in the Leaves, Charley McGraw is an architect assigned to help Easton Demolition keep a turn of the century building from being damaged. What she didn’t count on was Seth Easton, or someone who is targeting his company and threatening everyone around him. Lilly serves up some advice and warnings with her Chamomile tea. While trying to figure out who is sabotaging the … sabotaging the work site, Charley and Seth connect in ways neither one ever expected.
The Tassomancy Short Story series centers around Lilly Cunningham and her mobile tea truck the Aquarius Moon. Each quick read lets readers follow her as she lends her skills at reading tea leaves to those that need her most. Great for when a quick literary escape is all you need or have time for!

This is the first book I read by Jocie McKade. This is such a cute quick read story. Very enjoyable and love the Characters. Charley stopped by Lilly’s truck for a cup of coffee but Lilly gives her a cup of tea and a scone. When Charley leaves Lilly looks in her tea cup and read the tea leaves. Charley is not a believer and thinks she is crazy. This is a romantic, mystery and fun read. Very Enjoyable.
[Note: This review is for the “two books in one” :*Written in the Leaves* and *Rogue Leaves*, which I won in an author giveaway and chose to read and review]
Lily Rockingham, owner of the mobile tea truck The Aquarius Moon travels around to where she needs to be, even if she’s not sure why. When anyone asks, she says the tea leaves tell her.
In “Written in the Leaves”. Charley McGraw, local architect, has been hired to oversee a demolition next to a house that is on the Historic Registry. But someone might end the job before it begins, as things disappear until the site is robbed and vandalized. Then they find that offsite storage has also been burglarized. Who would do something like this? Will Charley and Seth find the answers before something else happens?
In “Rogue Leaves” Lily has moved right into the middle of an FBI investigation into some local burglaries that trace back to one of the FBIs most wanted. Trouble is one of the investigators ha a history in the town, and has to deal with her past while investigating the present situation. Could it affect her future? Right now, only the fine art of Tassomancy is giving anyone a clue, and Lily isn’t sure exactly what they are saying.
I grabbed this book as we left for the doctor this morning, and by the time we returned, I was almost done with the second story. Both are “snapshots “ of the wit and wisdom of Jocie McKade. I had so much fun. I do hope these two well written witty mysteries will be followed by many others. Highly Recommended 5/5
Great things come in small packages and in this case a great story is told in short amount of time..
Lilly Cunningham and and her mobile tea truck the Aquarius Moon go from town to town setting up wherever she feels someone is in need of her tea reading skills. First up is Charley McGraw and Seth Easton.
Charley McGraw is a female architect who has chosen to help restore and save old buildings instead of creating new. Her current assignment is to make sure Easton Demolition doesn’t damage a building next to one they will be demolishing. Her first impression of Seth and his work crew is bad. But its not long before both she and Seth come to realize someone has it out for Seth and his construction company and will go to some pretty extreme lengths to make it fail.
Full of humor along with a great story that throws in some surprisingly suspenseful moments. I know this was new endeavor for the author and I look forward to seeing where Lilly’s tea reading truck takes her next and who she will help.
