I love this series, and I enjoyed this book, but there were so many mistakes in it. Where was the copy editor? And parts of the book felt rushed, but I still liked meeting Greg’s high school friends–for better or worse–and watching them flip right back into their school day dynamics. Jill’s reaction to the boys rule, girls let them do as they please was fun. So was Deet’s character in his new job at the coffee shop. The mystery ended before the story did, and that surprised me, but it was to leave us with a bit of a cliffhanger. Aunt Jackie. You’ve got to love her:)
I enjoyed reading this book in this series. I liked getting to know more about Greg’s background. I was completely surprised with the ending of this one. I’m truly adoring this series!
LOved it love all her books read them all.
I didn’t like it as much as the others. Greg was a JERK to Jill at times. Aunt Jackie seemed to be getting a little better and at other times she was a real b with a itch. I liked Deek and I can’t wait to see what he brings to the coffee/bookstore.
This is a great cozy mystery series that I like to read. First one of the series that I read and I liked it so much that I had to get the rest of the series of books and have enjoyed reading them. Start at the beginning of the series and it just helps to understand things and characters a little bit better.
This is part of a series about a bookstore/coffee shop owner in a small tourist town in California. I like the characters and it is fun to revisit them. This one I did not like as well. The reason for the murder and the villain I found a bit of a stretch. If you like the series, you will enjoy visiting the regular characters. I do not find it the strongest story-wise in the series.
I enjoyed this ninth in the series very much, as I have all of the books so far.
Jill gets to meet some of Greg’s old college buddies for a weekend for a reunion/bachelor party. When the groom to be turns up dead and Greg is out of the jurisdiction to search for the killer. Jill decides to help to ease his mind.
I love the characters in this series, they are real and varied. The mystery was good, and kept me guessing as more of the past was uncovered.
I will continue on with this series.
Jill gets a blast from Greg’s past when his pals from highschool show up for a bachelor party, but when one of the party guy’s ends up dead the sleuthing is afoot! Multiple options for the suspect, but none quite fit other than the actual killer. I was able to see the killer from early on, but it did not diminish the story at all. It was interesting to see all the facts unfold as Jill and Greg untwisted the mystery. As usual, lots of personal storylines are peppered throughout the plot to keep you interested and intrigued with the characters.
Jill is going back to school as well as running her shop, Coffee Books and More. Greg, her boyfriend, who is the head detective, takes her to a wedding party where the groom winds up murdered. Greg and Jill work together to find out who killed his childhood friend as he is not allowed to work the case. Jill’s aunt, Jackie, is planning her own wedding and in the process is driving Jill crazy. The suspects are all Greg’s friends and the murder takes place in an antique castle. I like the characters in this series.
I love this series.

I really like this author ; she has good solid interesting characters. This one was interesting because it was a story within a story with the murder of a high school friend at a reunion of friends. Lots of secret facts come out – definitely wirth reading!
I like this series a lot. Anxiously waiting for the next one.
