Love the Scott brother stories !
I absolutely love reading about the Scott brothers. Her Christmas Cowboy tells the story of Felicity and Lane. I just love how family oriented these brothers are. They have each other’s back, when it’s needed the most. I was looking forward to reading Lane’s story and I wasn’t disappointed. I recommend reading all the books in this series.
An emotional story that I had a hard time putting down.
Felicity Danvers had a huge crush on Lane Scott when they were in school together. But she was shy and afraid she wouldn’t be good enough for him, so she steered clear of him. When Lane returned to Marietta after a life altering injury in Afghanistan, he was a different man. He had lost both of his legs after stepping on and IED. Though he accepted his life as it was, he still felt something was missing. When Lane meets up with Felicity again and they start dating, he feels he has finally found a new meaning in his life. But first he must convince Felicity to trust him. With Lane’s love, Felicity is finally able to put her fears in the past and move on.
I was very impressed with this story. I don’t personally know anyone who lost limbs in a war, but after reading this book, I feel I know a lot about the subject. I enjoyed Lane and Felicity’s story and how they bought light to each other lives. The Christmas background was a fun addition too and the perfect tie in to the story.
Wonderful characters. Gods love story.
I read this story in one evening. I like that it’s believable. Everyone has a past, everyone has issues. I liked the chemistry between Lane and Felicity. I so enjoyed adding to my 2020 December Christmas themed reading!
I quit reading at the sex scene.
A wounded vet comes home and falls in love with old find. A good book.
Felicity is a teacher in Marietta, Montana. She’s getting over a breakup when she runs into a past crush, literally. Lane is a former military man who is injured by an IED. Both Lane and Felicity are trying to work through some issues in their lives. Sweet second chance romance story with great characters.
Cute story. So many stories I have read over the years that take place in this magical place of Marietta. This story was sweet and clean. Where two people leave to be themselves and accept their flaws and learn to feel worthy of those they love.
Wow! A map of Marietta …. couldn’t read it well, though. But, I’m a big fan of Marietta and the Scott family. This is a good one. I learned a lot about prosthetics, too. I really liked this pair and the issues they were working through on their way to love. Only 2 detailed sex scenes. I thought that was just enough.
Retired Marine Lane Scott has finally reluctantly returned home to Marietta Montana. He runs into Felicity Danvers, a sweet and sexy woman from his past. As Christmas approaches, they discover that their love can conquer and overcome any obstacle. We will learn if they can both trust that it is not just Christmas magic bringing them together. – Lane is inspiring and loving. Felicity has self-esteem issues but is strong. They are good together, and I enjoyed reading about their friendship blossoming. This is a good holiday romance.
I recommend this book strictly on the quality of writing. The story is not unusual and is predictable, but the reader will not be stumbling over bad grammar or poor editing.
Enjoyed reading this Christmas story.
Loved this story. Never think you aren’t good enough – wonderful!
Kept me interested from first page to last. Didn’t want to put it down
Marietta, MT seems like a great place to live, love, work and play. I would love to spend a Christmas there! This story is very sweet and romantic as well as full of holiday joy.
I can’t remember the last time a book filled me so completely as this one. Everything is so easy and yet so difficult and natural on it. We all carry scars but this book, somehow, inspires us to embrace the scars and so from there into Real Life and Happy. Ever After or in the Moment. I enjoyed t so much that when it ended I was like “What?” “I must’ve missed pages” but no, read all and enjoyed so much that didn’t realized that their HEA goes on but book ends there. So WELL done Katherine Garbera. Happy Season to you and all you touch with this impressive gift.
Not real exciting. Not my recommendation.
If you want a mindless, somewhat entertaining love story set at Christmastime, go for it! It is not a “sweet” romance.
