I was light, and I was pure. Until I wasn’t.MillieI’m Millie Hart, and for as long as I can remember, I’ve dedicated my life to my Catholic faith. It was a part of me every step of the way. So when I decided to join a nunnery, no one in my family was surprised. I’m not sure at what point my life changed or where it went extremely wrong. My nightmares are becoming realities as my world starts to … realities as my world starts to slowly tremble under the ground I’m presently shackled to. I was taken. Everything I thought I knew was about to rain down on me in drops of lies, deceit, and undiluted evil.
Tripp/Raze
I’m more machine than man. I’m the alpha and the omega of The Army, and the leader of The 6 masked huntsmen. I live and bleed this life. The arms that raised me weren’t carrying love— they were carrying knives and AKs. I’m agent 000, the executioner, and the damn devil who walks in the flesh. No one can break through my hard shell— not even her.

I couldn’t connect to this story or the characters. The dialogue was unrealistic and everything was over the top.
Even though this book can be read as a standalone, I don’t recommend it. There are a lot of characters and events mentioned from the previous books that made me feel like I was missing something.
Wow… this was out of my norm for my reading…but I am always looking for new to me authors ….. I finished this in one sitting I was so hooked! ….and now I’m bummed because….yup ended with a cliffhanger….how could you end it like that!?!!?!?!!!!….BUT thankfully the next book is already out!
Honestly, at this point Imma just say FUCK IT. Buy this book, it’s like dark romance on crack with a side of crazy and a pinch of asshole. Gotta say, Raze is my favourite Amo antihero and I don’t think anyone will ever top him.
Talk about an emotional roller coaster! Kidnapping and emotional trauma. They broke Millie!! She’s a tad bit crazy and quite fiery. The old Millie is gone and Raze has to contend with this new woman who completely intrigue him. There’s so much more between these pages and I was horrified and heartbroken. Angry and righteous. And through it all I began to cheer Millie on. She’s not lost. She’s just finding a new part of herself and she may well be more wild than her sister.
Loved book one as secrets are revealed. Raze. Beast. Ella. Cassia. O.M.G.!!!!
The story line was good, the character work was fantastic and the book had a fairly smooth flow to it. I do have some issues with this book. There are spelling and grammatical errors. There are timing issues throughout this entire series. This needs to have better editing and some refining doing. I enjoyed it because of the simple fact that it continues the story from the previous books in the series.
This book is not for the faint of heart and I loved every word of it. Like a good horror movie I love a good dark book and Amo Jones most definitely knows how to write one. The ending of this book did not make me happy and I dove right into book 2 to get some answers.
I loved this book! It was deliciously dark and twisted and raw while also sexy and steamy as is Amo Jones’s style. The characters in this book are also connected to those in her Devil’s Own motorcycle club series which, if you loved that series like I did, this is a great spin off.
Every once in awhile a book comes along and completely annihilates everything you think you want in a book. For me, THIS is THAT book! I thought I wanted a safe, romantic and sexy little story with a HEA. That’s mostly what I stick with when choosing my books, but awhile back I discovered this author, Amo Jones and her teasers were so over the top I just had to try her! I started with the first book and I never stopped. Each book was a little more over the top, a little dirtier and a little more devious. I was completely hooked and I devoured them all in a matter of days! Then came Razing Grace and I forced myself to wait until the weekend to read it so I wouldn’t have to stop to go to work, because something told me I would not be able to stop once I started. Boy was I right! This book was the absolute most amazing ride of my life! It’s dark and dirty and absolutely devastating! It completely destroyed me in the best way possible! There will NEVER be another couple that I love more than Raze and Millie! They are it for me! End of! You will laugh, you will cry, you will scream, you will throw things but you will swoon and sigh more than ever before! It’s the most insanely beautifully tragic story you will ever read! And don’t even get me started on Miles freaking Cavendish! His love and loyalty is unlike any other character I’ve read before! His part in this book is just as crucial as Raze and Millie. Without Miles there is nothing and if I don’t get more of him I will never survive! If you haven’t read this author before you are missing out! If you are like me and have always played it safe with your reads I urge you to step outside of your comfort zone and try this book! Book 2 will be out soon so now is the perfect time! Absolutely without a doubt a MUST READ! 5 STARS!!!!!
Omg I think this is my favorite by this author so far! I loved Miles, he was so funny! And Millie has totally flipped from what I knew of her before, it’s awesome! Can’t wait for part 2!
This book is soooo good but all kinds of effed up. It’s dark, dangerous, sexy as hell and really twisted – the perfect must read for fans of dark mafia and MC romances.
The Story:
Millie gets kidnapped and finds herself in the back of a van surrounded by men wearing metal masks over their faces. The driver seems to be the worst of all because besides his dangerous appearance his voice alone gives her the chills.
Millie is being held captive by The Army and she’s facing some horrible stuff from those masked men though that’s just the very beginning of what she has to endure.
Tripp also known as Raze outside of the base is the executioner. He never felt something good and when Millie gets under his skin he doesn’t know how to deal with those foreign feelings he has no place for. Especially because he broke her and she only serves his purpose.
Thoughts:
Oh my freaking God!! This stuff was really effed up at some points but I found myself captured by it instead of freaked out. The writing was really good though halfway through the book I found the story slightly dragging. I was even a bit disappointed at some scenes when they weren’t as horrid as I hoped they would be. Though, don’t get me wrong, the stuff that happened was far from a walk in the park.
I was a few times really frustrated with the book because I found Millie somewhat annoying. She adjusted to the circumstances and her new lifestyle rather fast and didn’t seem as broken as she made others believe.
Apart from that, I really liked all the different and unique characters. They were well created and most of them oh so dark. I found myself fascinated by Raze and Miles especially. Oh how I loved Miles.
As you probably noticed I have a love-hate relationship with this book. It wasn’t at all what I expected even though I didn’t really expect anything specific. The story moved a bit fast at some points, slow at others and some things didn’t add up even though a few got cleared up every now and then. I was torn between hating and loving the characters and Millie was not my favorite at all. She was crazy weird. This book or rather the characters were all really broken.
I will never forgive the author for the ending in this book! I still can’t believe what happened even though I had this weird foreboding feeling in my gut. I am shattered and broken. I have no feelings left inside of me. Now I kind of feel or rather don’t feel like Millie… Why did this have to happen?! *argh* I could pull all my hair out I’m so angry!
Even though I am drained of all emotions or I’m feeling numb and broken I can’t even tell you.. but I want the next book now!! I can’t wait any longer! Please! I need it!
This series just gets more and more twisted as it progresses. I absolutely love books that have an anti hero and Raze it just all alpha. He is the executioner, born and bred to be feared; he is the proverbial kingpin.
Millie – I wasn’t sure where the author was going to go with this character being a nun for quite a few years, she is pure, innocent as the complete polar opposite to Raze. Yet, the transformation in this character is brilliant, she has embraced and accepted the dark side of Raze and has developed the skill to rile him in the best way. Her sense of humour is second to none, she has developed into my favourite character of the series. Even the secondary characters have earned their place. I love them all.
I am so engrossed in this series that day soon became night without realising as I was unable to put it down. The book is filled with strong characters, typical Amo. You just know she isn’t going to present you with a fluffy book. There are still so many questions I have that are unanswered, I am hoping book two will reveal all.
I have really enjoyed this series and Razing Grace Part One just keeps the momentum going. Although this book can be read as a standalone, it is tied somewhat to the first two books. I suggest that you start with them before you read Razing Grace. You won’t feel lost but if you are like me, and want to know the full backstory, then you’ll want to start at the beginning.
Millie Hart has devoted her life to the Catholic faith and is a Nun for her attending church. She has always been the good girl, the faithful girl, the dependable girl. This faith unknowingly puts her life in danger. She is abducted and forced to endure things that no one should ever have to go through. Innocent or not. As she is forced to process what is happening to her, she learns that evil might not be as bad as she thought it was. Will her innocence keep her strong or will evil prevail and taint her?
Raze is part of the 6 masked men who have taken Millie. He’s a trained killer who is well respected and knows at “The Executioner.” He was bred to lead the life in the army and to kill men. That’s the only purpose he’s only known. He’s hard core and shows no emotion and he’s not about to let little Millie Hart worm her way into his heart. Or at least, that’s what he keeps telling himself. Will he continue down he path of destruction and evil to be the man he was bred to be or will Millie break through and show him that he can in fact love?
Before I get started, all I need to say is Miles. I can’t and won’t give away any spoilers but Miles holds a special place in my heart.
Now that I got that out of the way, let’s talk about Raze. My dark, evil, handsome, and sexy as hell devil. This man is on a mission. Literally. He’s made a name for himself and he has no problem doing what every it takes to get to his desired outcome. From the moment they take Millie, you can see that they have a deep connection. Despite the things that happen between them, both good and bad, they were always electrifying. He broke Millie in what they both consider a good way.
“Because they showed me what it’s like, what it feels like to have someone make you feel good and dirty all at the same time. They tapped into a dark side of me that I didn’t know was there, and now, there’s no way that darkness can be drawn out. I don’t even think I want it to leave.”
Everything that Raze does is perfectly calculated. He’s trained to be that way. Everything has a purpose and everything must be executed perfectly. Watching him fall for Millie was swoon worthy. We all want to see the bad boys break a little, right?
“Dark? I don’t turn dark, Millie. I am dark. I just turn light for you and only you. Don’t even mistake that.”
Are you swooning yet? If not, let me add in some of his sexy, dirty mouth. When I read this, I shared it with my co-blogger and told her I about melted.
“She acts like she’s innocent, and hell, we all know she is, but there’s another side to little Millie Hart and I want to tear that side into pieces and then fuck it back together again.”
Yep, that right there. Enough said.
I went back and forth about how I felts about Millie. At first I didn’t understand her submission when she was taken. There was no sense of flight or fight and although it could be argued that she had given up, I could counter with the fact that there were several times that she wished she would be killed. If that was the case, she could have not submitted as easily, giving a fight that could have pushed one of the guys over the edge and give her exactly what she wanted. However, she comes back to life int he book and turns into one sassy little woman. She doesn’t take any crap and she can hold it together. I wanted to see that part of her from the beginning. She does seem to be the only one that can tame the beast, tame the devil.
Overall, I enjoyed this book and this series. This does leave you on a hell of a cliffhanger so I can’t wait to get my hands on Part Two so I can make sense of everything. There are a lot of different plots that all tie in together. Well done, Amo Jones. You keep me coming back for more and more.
I’ll admit that this is my first book by Amo Jones and kicking myself for that. I adore authors that hit my human depravity button and make me fall in love with what you thought was a monster. Still reeling from the transformation in my head!!!
“Her innocence used to be her weapon against me, bringing my darkness to its knees, but how? Now everything about her disarms me in such a way it makes me want to bleed all over her just to say she’s mine.”
Filled with feral desperation, this hit emotions and my dark side that I didn’t know which way to turn. Amo Jones skipped through my conscience and everything you believe is right vs. wrong like traipsing through a field of daisies. I realize this book won’t be for everyone, but I loved it from beginning to end. Heart pounding, adrenaline filled, the end crushing my brain and left me running to pre-order the next book. So thankful I was gifted this book!

Urghh this book!!! I made the mistake of starting it a bit late in the day and staying up all night until i was finished.
Starting where Hellraiser ended, Millie finds herself taken and held by ‘The Army’. Absolutely terrified with no idea why she’s there or what’s going to happen to her. I wasn’t keen on Millie in the previous book but this one she shines in. Realising that she can’t go back to the way she was before, she starts to embrace her new personality/backbone. She starts to toughen up and I loved that!!
Tripp is a sweetheart. Well, no he’s not I’m lying. But he kinda is. I have this love/hate/I wanna gouge his eyeballs out then have his babies thing going on with him. Growing up in the army, Tripp is probably the most feared and dangerous man there. He’s deadly, takes no crap whatsoever, blunt, to the point, intelligent…I loved him. The more I read, the more I liked his character. Then there’s Miles *swoon*. Hot, funny and a massive flirt….I want a Miles!!! One of my all time favourite characters, he’s absolutely fantastic.
This story had so many twists and turns. Just when I thought I knew where the story was going….BAM!!! It’d go a completely different way. The characters are fantastic, the storyline will keep you on your toes and guessing, you’ll want to kill some characters (maybe even the author….I’m kidding!…kinda), love some characters. And I guarantee you’ll finish this book and be left wanting more….Give me more!!!!
I had to take and day to collect my thoughts on this story, holy hell I couldn’t believe what my mind just had me read, and I floved it alot!! The ending holy amaze balls that was one hell of an ending. Of course I was left wanting more with that kind of ending you could only hope that more is to follow. Never have I read an alpha like Raze at all. He’s like a breath of fresh air really. Millie was not weak at all, and from a story like this it was almost excepted but then BAM it’s not at all. She made this story that much more interesting along with Miles and Raze hell both those Alpha in one story I didn’t think that was possible and enough space was in it at all. But Amo made this story work. Trust me this is one story that you don’t want to miss out on reading, not only for the characters but the flow and pace of the words are out of this world great. This was a real eye opener for me and have to say that I floved it. MUST READ!!! Be warned this story is not for everyone the darkness that hides in the pages is enough to knock you down and make you stop reading but the love and romance you call also feel makes you keep reading and reading. So worth the page turn.
