“The intense, tight-knit men of the Rough Riders’ hockey team will win readers over in a heartbeat.” ~Marina Adair, #1 Bestselling Author
The pressure has never been more intense for Rough Riders’ star defenseman Beckett Croft. With his contact expiring, Beckett has to live up to his badass reputation every minute of every game to earn the next big deal. A deal that will secure a stable home for his five-year-old daughter. So when an injury on the ice threatens to send him to the ER, he fights protocol—until the feisty EMT refuses to take no for an answer. Beckett likes his women assertive, and the spark between them is nothing short of scorching. Her indifference to his fame and money only intrigues him more. And by the time he peeks beneath her tightly sealed edges to see her beautiful but deeply wounded soul, he’s in way too deep to pull back.
After years of shutting herself off from men, Eden is tempted by the heat that blazes when she is around the NHL’s most notorious bad boy—even toying with an inkling of “what if”. But life has taught her how painfully that kind of fire burns. And how deeply it scars. So Eden denies the spark room to grow, the same way she shut out the violence from her past, focusing instead on her career and finishing paramedic school. She’ll never rely on a man for money or security again.
But when the heat between them becomes too hot to ignore, one night isn’t enough. Soon, Beckett and Eden find themselves caught between desire and fear—with painful pasts pulling them in one direction and a fragile new love pulling them in another. All while the family and careers that matter most hang in the balance.

Hot Puck is book #2 in the Rough Riders Hockey series.
It was great to read more about the Rough Riders I fell in love with them in Quick Trick and could not wait for this one.
Beckett Croft, a defenseman for the Rough Riders ha banged his head pretty badly while playing hockey. But he doesn’t want to stop playing and go to the Hospital.
Eden Kennedy, the EMT on duty won’t put up with his attitude. After ending a bad relationship, Eden has kept men at a distance. But Beckett is nothing if not persistent, and Eden can’t deny the sizzling between them.
I liked Beckett, Being the captain of the Rough Riders, he is a great leader. He looks out for his team mates. He is a wonderful father to Lily. I liked that Eden became an EMT to help other that were in situations similar to what she went through.
The book had me mesmerized from start to finish. I can’t wait to find out want happens next for the Rough Riders.
I got caught up in Eden and Beckett’s romance. Eden has survived an incredible traumatic experience that she has managed to pull herself through and forge ahead with a whole new life. One night as she is working as an EMT, she has to take in one of the star players for the hockey team. Beckett is intrigued by the take charge EMT Eden and is totally shocked when his usual tactics don’t seem to faze her. Beckett is dealing with his own issues which usually has him keep his distance with woman, not long term relationships, but something about Eden pushes him to change all that. He also has to protect his daughter for a crazy ex-wife. Can these two broken souls find the healing they need together? Skye Jordan consistently delivers sexy Alpha males with strong female characters that give all the drama and sexiness I want in a great romance.
5 Stars
Wow! Skye Jordan just cranked up the HOT factor with sexy dirty talking Beckett Croft! The one thing he loves more than hockey is being a dad to his daughter Lily. He never thought his life could get any better until the day she was dropped off at his doorstep. Now everything revolves around her, including his decisions on when and where to hookup.
Eden Kennedy is finally moving forward with her life since moving from California to Washington, DC. Working as an EMT, she pulled a shift to cover the Rough Riders game. She doesn’t like hockey, and doesn’t know a thing about it, other than it’s a violent sport. When Beckett Croft gets injured, he’s mad as a hornet and refusing to be transported. Eden steps in and finally gets him to agree to go to the hospital. When he turns on the charm, much to her surprise, Eden finds herself extremely attracted to him. Both characters are well-written. Strong, yet vulnerable, and that made them both so endearing to me. His pursuit of Eden is sweet and sexy, but Beckett’s interaction with Lily will melt your heart and make your ovaries explode! I absolutely loved this book and can’t wait for the next one!

Hockey is not usually my first pick for romantic genre. After reading Hot Puck I will definitely be expanding. I loved it . . Honestly enjoyed the whole story . I found myself laughing out loud , walking and reading at the same time ( occasionally painful) . I felt so involved with the Beck and Eden’s story. Jordan did an excellent job bringing the character’s alive. A real down to earth love story , that will keep you engaged from beginning to end . A couple grammatical errors, and a scene error or two is what dropped my rating. They were not real obvious but they did cause me to backtrack to verify what was occurring in the scene .
4.5*
Hot Puck is hot enough to melt ice, and sweet enough to melt your heart.
Beckett completely stole my heart! What a wonderful, charming, swoony man he is.
A tough as nails hockey player, a devoted and doting father, a caring son and brother…what more could a woman ask for?!? Um, not much if you ask me! But with Eden, Beckett’s got his work cut out for him.
When Beckett and Eden meet, sparks fly- and we’re not talking the good kind. It takes a little convincing from her friend for her to even give him the time of day, but when she does…oh baby, these 2 heated up the pages! But it’s not all heat and lust between them, and their journey, as individuals and as a couple, so was so compelling I couldn’t put the book down.
Although neither of them is really in a place in their lives where they’re thinking about a relationship, they can’t deny the feelings that are growing between them.
I loved how Skye built their relationship- it wasn’t easy, and at times it was even a little frustrating. But oh how I loved seeing these 2 fall in love. This is just an all-around fantastic story- you’ll want to wrap Beckett, Eden, and Lily in a great big hug and never let them go!
