This sequel to “These Men,” finds Paige, Eli and Cain trying to add to their family. Unfortunately, they’ve been trying for several months with no luck. The stork seems to be ignoring them . . . or is he? When an unexpected person shows up on their doorstep, it isn’t quite the bundle of joy they’ve been hoping for, but their lives are about to get even more interesting. Someone from Eli’s past is … is about to play havoc with their summer, and put a crimp in their love lives. Steamy, sexy, and an incredibly complicated scenario is about to play out, that finds Eli caught between a rock and a hard place (pardon the pun). Will Eli do the right thing, or put their relationship at risk?

My Men by Andrea Smith. Narrated by LaPetite Mort and Ruby Rivers.
I haven’t read the first book. I didn’t even know it existed until after I finished this one. It didn’t matter. I still really enjoyed this story. A mm/f romance. These three have a good, solid, honest relationship. They are all definitely in love. They have decided it is time to expand their family. But are having trouble getting pregnant. Then someone from Eli’s past comes knocking on the door. This changes their summer drastically. This read is funny. Sexy. Anxious. Teenage troubles. Stolen moments. Very entertaining.
The two narrators bring so much to this listen. They bring different voices and attitudes to each character. They are so easy to listen to. They are a couple of my favorite narrators!
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book from Story Origin.
We have the transition into being in a relationship with a few bumps and adding trying to have a family in the mix as well. I loved this book as we got deeper into the minds and feelings of these three. Great listen.
This short story is the sequel to These Men. But don’t worry if you haven’t read that one (although you should, because it’s good!), there’s a summary in Chapter One told by Paige.
“ Karma has come back to bite this bitch.”
I loved this story! Paige and her men, Eil and Caine, are in a perfectly balanced relationship and are trying to get pregnant.
Then one day the doorbell rings and guess what: Eli’s daughter announces herself.
Now Eli wants to hide their relationship and pretend he’s Paige’s boyfriend and Caine is just a roomie.
It’s complicated. But you can expect a HEA. And I loved the epilogue.
This review is based on the audiobook. Narrators La Petite Mort and Ruby Rivers did a great job.
Sequels can sometimes be boring, but not so with My Men. We see a love that is growing within the dynamic that Paige, Eli and Cain have formed. Even with the intrusion of Eli’s daughter there is a challenge but they stay firm remain solidified.
I love the way LaPetite Mort & Ruby Rivers express the emotions these characters are feeling there narration really brought these characters to life.
Another enjoyable listen, thank you Andrea.
Paige, Eli, and Cain, are now together for a year, comfortable with their living arrangement, until one day an unexpected visitor came to stay for the summer. It’s fun how they try to hide and fit in their sexy times. In this story Andrea Smith shows how much Paige has matured and no longer that carefree, careless young woman. Paige’s heartbreak, is trying to get pregnant.
The narrators made this a fun story to listen to. I was gifted a copy of this audio and offered my honest review
Fantastic Sequel to “These Men” Awesome Narration
My Men
Men Series, Book 2
By: Andrea Smith
Narrated by: La Petite Mort, Ruby Rivers
I loved everything about the first book in this series, from Andrea Smith’s great writing style to the storylines and characters she created. I am happy to say she continues to deliver the same greatness in this sequel. Once I started the book I could not put it down. I had to know what happens next with these wonderful characters, Cain, Eli and Paige. Their love for each other has deepened and they are ready to start a family. Then a surprise arrives at their door, Eli’s teenage daughter, Eli’s ex is dropping her off to stay the summer. Eli does not want to share their polyamorous relationship with her thinking she will not understand which adds even more to the challenge of having her staying with them. I loved how everything played out in, there is never a dull moment with plenty of drama, a bit of angst and some hot romance. It was great to see Paige had a better relationship with her sister-in-law and brother. And I loved the ending! Andrea Smith, thank you for another great story and emotional rollercoaster ride. I love how you keep everything so real!
I listened to the Audible edition, La Petite Mort and Ruby Rivers are wonderful narrators and voice performers. They bring the characters to life, give each their own voice and personality and a whole lot of heart. They are awesome at projecting the emotions of the characters into their performance, as well as the drama of the story. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another great listen
