Nathan Davenport is being stalked by Isabella Ravini, the feral vampire who stole hishuman life over a hundred and sixty years ago. She made him her fledging, a slave forher dark, evil purposes—hunting humans. After a few years she released him, andNathan reluctantly learned to accept the cursed life she’d foisted upon him.Over time he amassed a great fortune, which today has made him famous… made him famous
worldwide. Isabella decides she wants to be a part of this world of fame and fortune
Nathan created for himself. She’s determined to marry him, and love has nothing to do
with it. His money is her primary target, and the fame and prestige attached to being
the wife of one of the richest men in the world wouldn’t be so bad either.
In an effort to evade her until he can figure out how to stop her, he hides at a safe
house he owns in New Orleans. One Saturday evening in NOLA, he decides to have
dinner in the city. He chooses a quiet little Italian bistro, never imagining this night
will change his life forever. The human woman who delivers his order isn’t a server,
but the restaurant’s sous chef, a beautiful ethnic woman possessing the most delicious
blood scent he’s ever encountered.
The moment Mia Peebles arrives at his table with his plate, tasting her becomes
an obsession. Mia wants nothing to do with him because of Nathan’s reputation as a
playboy. So Nathan enchants her, feeds from her, but his lusts for her blood and body
play havoc with his thinking.
Nathan finds a way to bring her into his life as his personal chef and quickly falls
in love with her. The trouble is Mia has no idea he’s a vampire because during the
enchanting episodes, Nathan blocked her memories of those sensual encounters.
How will Nathan tell her the truth without losing her and keep Isabella from
finding him? Or worst yet, will Isabella discover how much Mia has come to mean
to him?

Very unusual to see a vampire story so infused with faith. I seem to find this happening more and many genre of books. Beautiful story of forgiveness allowing friendship to develop in to love. Interesting to see what the next has book to show me.
When Mia serves the famously rich, Nathan Davenport one night at the restaurant she works in, she immediately tags him as a playboy and doesn’t want to get involved. Until he makes her an offer that he knows she can’t refuse.
Nathan is only in town on business, and has never had any interest in feeding from the same woman twice, until he meets Mia. He is drawn to her and finds a way to keep her close, but what will happen when she learns he is a vampire?
This is a sweet and sexy romance, but the thing I like the best is that the characters feel like people I could relate to. We are talking about a middle aged woman working in a restaurant, not an 18 year-old virgin falling for her first love. I like characters with life experience.
If you’re looking for a great paranormal romance you will love this!
Woah!! Get ready to read from front cover to back cover all at once. Forever and a Night sucks you on page 1 and doesn’t let you go till the very last word! I have found another go-to author!
I like Vampire books, but I loved this one! I have read this author before, and the way she created her vampire is rare, unexpected and enjoyable. This story has a little bit of everything, romance, action, comedy, and drama. I would recommend this book to anyone who has a love for vampire stories or anyone who wants to experience something new.
I was gifted a copy.. a new author but it won’t be the last one. I love it. Who would have even thought of this
I hesitantly opened up Forever and a Night thinking it would be like any other romance novel. I was excited to read it because I had heard amazing things about Lana Campbell and after finishing, I have already dug into Dark Experiments. I was kind of shocked to realize that these books are stand alone and that they don’t continue through but then I was thinking about it and was fascinated. I don’t normally read books outside of a series and if I do, I usually don’t enjoy it. Not with this though. I loved it and no, it’s not like any other romance novel I have read. It stands apart and in many different ways. I would encourage anyone who enjoys deeply thought out characters, amazing plot lines and detailed writing to pick up a copy as soon as they can!
I love Mia and Nathan’s story. It starts out shaky though, with Mia wanting nothing to do with Nathan. Can she overcome the deceit? Read and find out. I strongly recommend this book.
Welcome to New Orleans and prepare to embark on a series events that will engage you to the end. Meet Mia Pebbles. Middle age woman, chef at a local restaurant with three grown girls. Mia is focused on her job and working to acquire the funds she will need to help one of her daughters get into Harvard medical school. It won’t be easy, but she’s determined. Then enters, Nathan Davenport, millionaire, vampire and renown entrepreneur. The minute that he catches Mia’s scent while at the restaurant she works at he’s hooked on her. Using his vampiric abilities he coaxes her to spend some time with him, and feeds from her but wipes the memories. Until confronted by this two dear close friends, Nathan has no idea that Mia is potentially his life-mate and that his actions may create problems for him down the line. But that is just one of Nathan’s many problems. Nathan is being hunted by his creator. Isabella turned him years before, but now she wants him for the money, fame, and prestige that he now holds claim to. Nathan is trying to stay hidden, but it’s only a matter of time before she finds him. Isabella will not go quietly into the night and she will destroy all that he loves in order to get her way. Now the clock is ticking on when she will show up, and how Nathan will handle things with Mia if he wishes to continue moving forward with her.
Forever and a Night: A Vampire Romance by Lana Campbell is the first book that I have read by this author. This is an engaging novel, that brings an interesting aspect to the novel. Mia is a highly religious woman, and the author really plays that up in this novel. Mia has been through some things in life, but she has always kept her faith has her main focus. She won’t do certain things because of the fact that it will go against her faith. I like Mia as a character overall because of the fact that she is hard-working, and family focused. Nathan is not perfect, but he is a likable character as well. I love his two friends Demetri and Julia. They are such an engaging couple, and the author does a fantastic job with them. We get some backstory on all the characters, but nothing so in-depth that it detracts from the overall storyline. There are some fast-paced moments in this story, but overall it moves at a steady pace.
When I started to read some of the religious aspects of this story, I honestly didn’t think that I would like it. I kept figuring that eventually, Mia would descend into a moral quagmire and this does end up happening. This immediately irritated me. It’s like she decided to pick and choose what parts she was going to follow as a “good Christian.” Then when she proceeds to lie and deceive her own daughters it just goes to deepen things for me. Because then how was she any different from the ones that she had chosen to “hate”? Another issue I have with this book is it needs editing. There are quite a few spelling issues throughout, that is easily noticed. A prime example of an error I found used repeatedly is “loose” instead of “lose.” One such instance is the following sentence, “As for you, Nathan, loose my number.” Also, there are sentences that are missing words or just don’t make any sense. These things distract from the story because they make you stop, and have to reread trying to figure out what the author is trying to say.
At the end of the day, I found this book to be an enjoyable story. I think that it could have been cut down a bit so that some spots would not be so monotonous, but it’s a vampire novel that is different from the rest. It’s rare to find a vampire novel that has such focus on religion and this book does a good job. Overall, the author doesn’t get totally bogged down in religion and stays focused. I, of course, don’t like all the characters, but that’s to be expected.
Overall I am rating this book 4 out of 5 stars. The book is well written and an enjoyable read. If the author has not already done so I would recommend an editor going through and doing a thorough rereading for errors to clean it up. Mia is an interesting character and I have a love/hate relationship towards. I like her, but then she gets on my nerves. But I’m glad she ends up coming to her senses and stops being a hypocrite.
Mia and Nathan have an intoxicating relationship that you will love. The vampires in this book were so different to other books I’ve read that I found myself completely surprised and intrigued by the characters and the plot. The story is well written and the details made you feel like you were there. I really enjoyed this first book, and it definitely has made me a fan of Lana’s. Beautiful work and a story that will draw you in from the first pages!
This is the first book that I have read from Lana Campbell, I love Vampire books and this is one that is different from others that I have read, this is bringing a different look to how Vampires are looked at in other books. We have a Vampire, Isabella Ravini who went and transformed Nathan Davenport into a vampire and kept him sorta on a leace to do as she wanted and also for her to feed from. Eventually she let him go and Nathan 100 years later made himself a billionaire and a name known throughout the world.
Now, Isabella wants him back not just to feed but to get married to him so that she could be more powerful with his money and status. But Nathan wants nothing to do with her so he runs and hides.
In enters Mia Peeples, an older women who has raised her children and now on her own with a job that she loves as a Su Chef of a New Orleans restaurant, when she meets Nathan on a night where she is doing not just the cooking, she has to get the orders to the customers on a busy night that they are so short staffed that she can’t even take a break till they close.
Even though Nathan is over 100 years old he looks around 30 something and Mia, is an older women that doesn’t have the time to date. Nathan is intrigued with Mia and wants to get to know her not just for her blood. But Mia can’t understand why a young man wants to be with her and then he falls in love with her and can’t decide to tell her let alone explain that he is a vampire and that he has Isabella wanting him back and trying to keep Mia safe.
Lana has you flipping the pages to see how Nathan and Mia handle their love, their differences and also fighting with Isabella. Forever and the Night, is a wonderful book you will really enjoy it and will want to read Lana’s other books.
Nathan is a vampire who has never had a serious relationship. Mia works in a restaurant as a Sous Chef, has three grown daughters and is divorced. She is a devout Christian and is a stickler in her beliefs. They meet one night when he goes to the restaurant and he is immediately taken with her enough to mesmerize her and starts drinking blood from her. His friends, Julia and Dimitri believe she could be his life mate. Dimitri’s and Nathan’s maker, Isabella returns with a proposition for Nathan. They want her dead for she is feral! In an act, no one saw coming…Isabella attacks Mia! Nathan has no choice but to turn her….now what? With her Christian beliefs prevailing, will she accept life as a vampire? Or will she allow herself to die? She cannot stand Nathan or his friends now and what they are! What will she do once her daughters come to town? Also, is there another vampire that wants her as a life mate? What will happen to all of them? Wil Isabella receive her wishes? Will she attack any others? Will this mean an all-out war? This is a romantic story filled from the vampire’s perspective. The vampire’s in the story are nothing like the regular vampires we have read about. It is a great story full of romance, secrets, betrayal, and intrigue. The characters will endear themselves to your heart! I am hoping there are more stories with these same characters! I received this as an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is a great paranormal romance series. I started this series midway through with book 5 Alabama Rain, and came back to read the beginning of the series and meet the characters properly. I truly enjoy Lana’s take on vampires and the vampire culture. These vampires are very much like humans, with the same core issues that humans face. There is an added component of Faith that you do not normally see in paranormal or even contemporary romance.
This vampire series starts with Forever and a Night; with Nathan Davenport, one of the wealthiest men in the world, who is hiding from what’s known as a feral vampire ( they have lost a mate or have totally gone to the dark side) named Isabella. She wants to marry him so she can live a life where she can be comfortable for the rest of her sorry life. While hiding from Isabella in New Orleans one night, he decides to have dinner at one of the restaurants there. Nathan meets Mia Peebles who is the restaurant’s sous chef. She is so beautiful and also is one of the sweetest smelling women he has ever laid eyes on. One night after eating in the restaurant Nathan enchants Mia, and drinks her blood and then blocks her memory so she has no clue what has happened to her. He hires her for his own personal sous chef and soon she starts to fall in love with him, but she learns that he is harboring a huge secret from her, that he is a vampire. When she finds out what Nathan has done to her she freaks out and wants nothing to do with him. He needs to know if Mia is his life mate, but in order to do that he has to bite her and mentally bond with her to find out. That is how a vampire knows that a person is his or hers special one that was made especially for them.
Lana does her magic as this unfolds into a true love story, where one will do anything for the one they love. This is one of my favorite vampire books I have read so far, and for that Lana, I thank you.!
OMG this book is amazing..
I loved the characters and the story line. The Authors description of her Vampires are down to earth..
these Vampires are not your normal Vampire.. These Vampires walk in the daylight.. but need special glasses to protect there eyes from the sun’s damaging rays. When it comes to eating they eat normal food and need to have the human blood either by I.V. or straight from the source.
The main Characters are Mia Peebles and Nathan Davenport.. Mia is a beautiful talented lady that really know her way around the kitchen.. Nathan the Hot sexy rich Vampire who has it bad for Mia from the first day he sees her at the restaurant she worked in…
Then there is the Evil and Crazy Isabella.. she is Nathans maker and she is a Feral Vampire… As they say.. every good book needs a good villain..
If you want to know what happens you need to read Forever and a Night
