Warning: This is one dark, dangerous, dirty-talking, adrenaline-fueled thrill ride. Are you ready?I’ve got a big c*ck, a bigger bank account, and zero interest in Happily Ever After. I just want to feel alive, to look into a woman’s eyes and see something that’s going to keep my mind off all the shit I refuse to think about for an hour or two.And then I meet her, a good girl with a body made for … girl with a body made for sin and ugly problems only a bad man can fix.
A bad man like me…
Gabe Alexander is the devil. Or an angel.
He’s a criminal hiding behind a million dollar pedigree, but he also saved my life and my family. He’s the worst kind of bad news, but every time he touches me, and whispers filthy, beautiful things in my ear, all I want is more.
More of his kiss, his touch, and the dangerous, seductive things he makes me feel.
I don’t want to go bad, but the man makes it feel so damned good…
Warning Part the Second: A Love So Dangerous is the first in a three part series. It is a full-length novel that ends in a cliffhanger. Gabe and Caitlin’s wild ride isn’t for the faint of heart, but does end with an HEA.

Catilin tsking care of her brothers snd niece because every one of the adults in her family left. Even her older sister and leaving her niece. Dad is a drunk an problem. On her birthday Gabe comes into her life and changes everything and she knows love. Yet he is leaving now. Some of their summer task is here in front of her. She needs Gabe but he’s out of her life now.
I read this book when it was a One Wild Night and This Wicked Rush. It was my first ever Jessie Evans Series and I loved it. I have read everything she has written since and that includes all of her Lili Valente books! So if you are a fan or either or both…you will love this series.
Caitlin’s life is full of responsibilities, much more any other woman turning twenty. So she decided that on her twentieth birthday she was going out with her best friend to a club for a night of dancing and letting loose. She had no idea what the night went bring when she starts dancing with a stranger….
Gabe is tired of the girls trying to change his bad boy ways. When he spots a girl on the dance floor that is dancing like nobody is watching he has to be near her. And when he does there is a pull between them. He knows there is something different about her and he will find out why…
Caitlin and Gabe are on fire. It’s only a few hours but oh my God, Gabe is fucking hot! And but they could not stop thinking about each other even after months of being apart. Caitlin is still hard at work and taking on way more responsibilities then a twenty year should have to while Gabe is well, being Gabe….
So when Gabe decides enough is enough and that he has to see the girl that he can’t stop thinking about he goes to her. They make the decision to spend the Summer together to let loose before they have to go back to reality. A summer full of passion, laughs and also danger. They feel alive when they are together and don’t want the summer to end but nothing last forever….
I am in love with these characters, all of them even the little ones. Gabe is so straight forward and Caitlin is strong. And they fit perfectly together in the bedroom, it’s the perfect blend of sexy and sweet. And the book is like puzzle that needs to be pieced together and I love puzzles! It’s edgy, sexy and dangerous and I can’t wait for more.
Quotes:
I’ve never been good at doing what I should. I don’t resist Temptation, I throw him a big, loud party and invite a Trouble to DJ. ~ Gabe
She’s so beautiful, like something out of my dreams, the dreams that are always about her. Always. Ever since the night I first kissed her addictive lips.
He’s brought danger into my world, be he’s also brought joy and passion and life.
Description is awful. The actual book in great and nothing like portrayed. Cliffhanger with two other books.
Enjoyed characters and storyline
I liked the story, but hate cliffhangers!!!!
The story was definitely different and started off well.. Unfortunately, the story just became too far fetched for me was unable to finish.
I didn’t like it because it was a cliff hanger book.
Do not like the language.
Original. Cliffhanger!
I’m so frustrated. That ending!!!!!!
A Love So Dangerous is a honest title. It’s dangerous to the heart, the mind, and even your future. A love so encompassing…
I’m so desperate for book 2. I knew that twist was coming. I knew who it was but I still hoped it wasn’t…
I can wait for the next one.
A Love So Dangerous by Lili Valente is the first book in her To The Bone series. It is hot and steamy without being overly done. The emotions run high, the writing carries you away, and you won’t be able to get enough of Gabe and Caitlin either. Told in dual POV with a cliffhanger ending this will definitely suck you in. Note: It was formerly published as One Wild Night and This Wicked Rush by Jessie Evans.
Caitlin is a good girl who has sacrificed her own future in order to give her three younger brothers and younger niece a better chance at a future than she herself had. Her dad is a drunk, her mom abandoned them ages ago and her sister just up and ran off with her drug dealer leaving her infant daughter behind. Caitlin dropped out of high school so she could work two jobs to keep the kids out of the foster system and has been spinning her wheels ever since.
Gabe has a mission, to right as many of his family’s wrongs as possible in the near future. In between, of course, picking up random girls at the nightclub. When a beautiful blond mesmerizes him with her dance he is hooked. Realizing he knows her after they spent time together on the dance floor comes as a shock, but a pleasant one, at least for him, she is just plain SHOCKED that Gabe is dancing and pursuing her.
Loved this – cannot wait to devour more. The characters are New Adult in age and the story reads like a new adult novel. Not to stay it isn’t sexy and steamy but they are both in the 20-22 year range so if more mature characters are what you are looking for then I would not recommend this. However, if you enjoy steamy New Adult – READ IT NOW!!!!!!!
4.5 Stars
This was such an amazing and emotionally brutal book and it took me absolutely by surprise.
I was such a mess after finishing this book and I’m still now. I did not expect such a storyline and outcome. Not at all. I am flabbergasted.
The blurb just doesn’t do the book justice, though it’s hard to explain this book without giving too much away but the blurb made me question if I would like this book because I thought it would be similar to so many others. It made me believe that this would be just another bad boy romance where the good girl falls in love with the bad guy. I assumed that this guy would be part of the mafia or some criminal gang and she would be head over heels for his good looks and that there would be of course a lot of trouble with a lot of dirty sex and talks. But as it turned out, I was as wrong as one can be.
The Story:
Caitlin doesn’t have an easy life. She started taking care of her family when she was still a kid. Her mother left her kids behind with a drunken father which can’t keep a job for longer than a few months. When Caitlin’s older sister also left, she abandoned not just her sister and younger brothers but also her own baby. Caitlin dropped out of school and is now working low paid jobs to pay the bills that keep getting higher and higher.
Her father isn’t much around since he found himself a new girlfriend. Caitlin is everything that holds this family together. Without her, all of the kids would be taken into social service and sent to separate foster homes. Caitlin spent a few months in a foster home when she was younger and she had such a horrible experience that she wants to spare her brothers and niece this awful life.
When Caitlin meets Gabe, she knows he means trouble. Especially for her since she can’t have a distraction in her life such as him. He is bad for her and her family.
Gabe is just looking for girls to keep his mind off of stuff for an hour or two. When he sees Caitlin he feels drawn to her and he soon notices that she is more than he ever wanted in a girl.
Gabe is bad for Caitlin in so many ways though it would make her life easier when she’s helping Gabe with his plan, even though it’s dangerous. Gabe is dangerous and their plan is dangerous. What if something goes wrong? What if one of them or both get caught? What if emotions are getting in the way? Although Caitlin was always the responsible so far she now feels free and reckless for the first time in her life thanks to Gabe.
They agree to follow through with his plan for this summer. Three months. What can possibly go wrong in those three months? A lot as it seems. And the aftermath is devastating.
Thoughts:
At first I liked and enjoyed the story a lot but some decisions of Caitlin made me question her character. We get to know her as a girl that put all of her own needs aside to take care of her family. But soon after she takes part in something dangerous without giving it much thought of what the consequences might be for her family and the life she works so hard for. I can imagine that being always the responsible one can be tiring. Now she has a part in her life where she feels free and daring. That’s thrilling for her and new. It’s exciting and that’s why she couldn’t stop herself from helping Gabe with his plan.
She didn’t have an easy life so far and she didn’t live for herself but just for her family. She does everything for them and even though I understand her thrill about finally feeling alive and free because of Gabe and his thrilling missions but it could cost her everything she worked so hard for.
Gabe didn’t seem as bad as he was described but he doesn’t tell us a lot of himself and he’s always really mysterious and spoke in riddles or at least he was a mystery to me. He was my favorite character and it always felt as if there was some more to him that we didn’t get to know yet – I am so heartbroken after such tiny glimpses into his secret. I really need the next book! Although I’m really nervous of what I’m about to find out then.
In the end I understood everything a little bit clearer and after I finished reading I went back and read through the paragraphs that I marked. Now I have to say that I loved this book so much!! I can’t get rid of my book hangover. I’m still a mess after this book.
The writing was capturing and the story suspenseful and gut-wrenching in so many ways and the characters turned out to be so much more than in the beginning.
This book was so not what I was expecting. It was sooooo much better. A different story than I thought it would be.
Besides all the bad that happened to Caitlin there is so much loving and caring involved in this book but also heartbreak, a lot of suspense and some sadness but still hope for the good in the bad times.
Oh god. I still can’t believe what a gut-wrenching story this was. The ending is killing me and not just because of the major cliffhanger. Oh god! I need the next book! Now! Give it to me! I need more and I need a HEA. Please! For the love of books I need it!
