Crash was manufactured to be one of the best warriors in the universe. The cyborg has spent many human lifespans fighting the enemy. But, unlike his battle-loving brethren, he doesn’t enjoy killing. When he escapes the Humanoid Alliance, he vows to never end another life. Then he meets Safyre, an infuriating human female, and he considers breaking his vow.Safyre will do anything to save her … to save her friend, the being she loves like a sister. She’ll ravish a huge hunky cyborg, kiss his best friend, and invoke scorching hot desires the male never realized he could feel. Dark soulful eyes, a quick wit, and a tempestuous passion won’t divert her from her mission.
Love, and a planet-destroying weapon, however, might stop her permanently.
Crash And Burn is Book 3 in the Cyborg Sizzle series and is a STANDALONE story.
It is also a dark BBW Cyborg SciFi Romance.
more
One being was fighting for his and his brethrens’ freedom. Another was fighting to rescue her lifelong friend. One is used to the sound, company, and workings of a collective while the other is used to being very much alone. When the two meet, it’s not exactly a meeting of the minds. Where Crash is rational, logical, and dominant, Safyre is abrasive, aggressive, and impulsive. However, they couldn’t be more right for each other. Resigned to a life without a mate, Crash had found his other half and nothing and no one, not even Safyre herself, was going to stand in the way of his claim.
The more I learn about these cyborgs, about their fight and hunger for freedom, the harder I find myself falling for them. They are fierce, loyal, and surprisingly passionate. I love how the author not only describes how powerful and almost indestructible these men are, but she always finds a unique way to illuminate their humanity. I’m so happy Crash found his perfect match and although she doesn’t match him in temperament, she will definitely challenge him. Their practically eternal existence won’t be boring, to say the least! My heard did break at a certain part and I’m not sure how I’m going to be able to pick up the pieces going forward.
I’m far from finished delving in the delicious depths of these cyborgs and I’m about to jump into their next adventure!
Read all of your books!!!! Great! Write more!!!?
2 stars – It was ok
Unlike other cyborgs, Crash doesn’t enjoy killing. When he escapes the Humanoid Alliance, he vows to never end another life. But when he meets Safyre his vow is put to the test because she is constantly putting herself in danger. She is determined to risk everything to save her friend though.
This book was ok. I didn’t really love Crash or Safyre. Crash and Safyre’s relationship was just a constant battle of will that got tiring for me. I don’t mind a character that constantly challenges their partner but it was every interaction with these two, which got boring very quickly.
Crash and a few others do free a new group of cyborgs in this one. There is also a lot of heartbreak for the cyborgs in this book, which while I understand why it happened I still wish it hadn’t. We do finally get to see how dangerous the Humanoid Alliance can be in this book though.
Overall, this one is not my favorite but I will continue to read the series.
Loved this series
A totally addictive read, I loved this story from start to finish. Safyre is a character who is easy to connect with. Her emotions and loyalties run deep. She has a group of friends who are her chosen family and would die trying to save them. Crash is also very similar to her in those main ways. Gap was a breath of fresh air but I felt that Nympema was not fleshed out enough, but they were the real heart of this story. There is enough action to keep the story exciting but not so much to make it oppressive. I have loved every book in this series so far, but my heart really felt it when the consequences of war caught up with them. I actually cried when they told Rage, it was that sad.
