An adult contemporary romanceMy name is Jade Lennon and I stand still for money. The night I saw Shane Arthur watching me everything changed. A man in a suit always catches my eye, but it was the way he looked at me that was different. Like he knew me or something. He didn’t know me, especially not in my costume. My sobriety rests on staying away from men, but there was something about him that … men, but there was something about him that made me throw caution to the wind.
After all, I was never going to see him again, right?
Wrong.
Standing still isn’t the only way I make my money. I also bartend at a concert hall. Never in my wildest dreams did I think Shane was going to show up there. Not only that, but he’s the most recent addition to the orchestra. So now on a daily basis I have to resist one of the most beautiful men I’ve ever met and he plays the violin. For me that’s one hell of a deadly cocktail.
He wants me to teach him how to live. I’m not sure how much a twenty-six year old recovering alcoholic who works in a bar and moonlights as a living statue can teach a world class concert violinist, but I’m sure going to try.
Not suitable for readers under 18 years. Contains strong language and scenes of a sexual nature.

I really enjoyed this book. It grabbed my attention from the beginning, and I didn’t want to put it down. I enjoyed the main characters, who were both fighting to deal with painful pasts. The authors descriptions of Jade’s imagination – especially her reactions to music – were mesmerizing. I could easily visualize the scenes she was describing. The supporting characters added wonderful depth to the story. I highly recommend this read!
I really enjoyed this book. Other reviews will give synopsis of the story, but I think this one quote summed it up perfectly for me:
“To be a muse is to be a wonder in someone else’s eyes, flaws and all.”
I recommend this beautiful read & any other stories from this author.
Probably one of my favorite stories about fate and love.

Review:
I liked this book. It was a nice story. I did have a hard time with all the classical music lingo going on. But it was fun when I did know what piece they were talking about.
What is this book about:
This book is about recovering alcoholic Jade and classical violin prodigy Shane author. The two meet one night right outside the concerthal Jade works. Jade is a living statue (and a bartender) and was standing outside of the concerthal. They chat for a bit and have a ver kinky encounter in a dark ally (you know what I mean) They didn’t expect to see each other again but they do, the very next day.
Jade is against having a relationship, eventhough she likes and is attracted to Shane, she says no. What she does say yes to is being friends with Shane and yes against a rather odd request. You see Shane doesn’t have many friends and he had a secluded childhood, besides that some bad thing happened in his past and he wants to learn how to live. He thinks Jade is the right woman for the job.
Will Jade be able to deny the chemistry and attraction she feels around Shane?
What did I like about this book:
I liked the setting, I found that interesting. I liked the relationship between Shane and Jade. Its not something I see often in books. Meaning Jade comes across as a more social girl and Shane is more socially awkward. He seems very soft and kind, unless it was sex and dirty talk, the man has a way with words then.
I likes seeing more and more of them, seeing more layers of their personality. They changed the view I had of them when I first started reading.
I also liked she side characters. They were very entertaining.
Over all I liked reading this book but I didn’t love it. I couldn’t relate to the activities the characters where doing. It was a bit too free spirited for my liking.
A thing that did bug me though is that Jade was the guardian for her two younger siblings (a brother 15 I thing, and sister 17), while she also had an elder brother? Why didn’t her bother became their guardian?

So digo uma coisa…..
