This is a great series if you like a strong heroine that isn’t in her twenties and whose only real problem is shoe choices. The quirky characters are delightful, but still it is not too cutesy. It has just enough about bee-keeping to be intriguing but not overwhelming and you can get right into the setting feeling as if you are there. Really …
This introduction to the Josiah Reynolds series is sharp and witty. FInding a dead man in one of her bee hives is just the beginning of bad news for Josiah. It’s a good thing she’s a pretty tough lady, because things get tough very quickly. And although I love cozy mysteries, this is NOT a cozy mystery, but the cast of characters and Josiah’s …
I loved this book. After you meet Josiah Reynolds, a former art history teacher turned bee keeper, you’ll want to keep reading about her adventures as well as the other quirky characters in this series. The strong plot kept me turning pages, and the humor made every page fun. I also enjoyed the information about bees which the author blends in as …
Abigail Keam’s Death by a Honeybee had me hooked at first sting. A delightful story!
Absolutely brilliant story. Great characters, lots of suspense, and one of those books that grabs you and won’t let go.
I love all of her books!
Loved it….have read every book in the series
I fell in love with this character and her struggles, it helped that she has the same issues many of us do in life financially and in her personal life.
Its so well written and the story flows with such ease, it slowly drags you in and has you so wrapped up in the story you cant help but keep turning the pages.
This is a light and easy read with a little bit of mystery. The protagonist can be slightly annoying, by turns commanding and needy, and the romantic exploits accorded to her rather pitifully unrealistic and silly, which takes away from an otherwise passable mystery, but it would probably appeal to certain older women, perhaps. I’ve read many …
Held my interest from beginning to end!! Really Enjoy this author.
A fun read that kept me guessing til the end. Having grown up in the Lexington area, I especially enjoyed the local references and history.
Not only is this book entertaining but it is educating as well. For instance, I learned that dusting bees with powdered sugar helps them to shed mites. Not stuff that was in the A B C’s of Beekeeping.
Couldn’t put book down. Kept me intrigued.
Good book for a rainy day! It’s easy to read and enjoyable.
Just a fun read. and a decent mystery
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book!
I have read all of the Josiah Reynolds series and loved every one . Wish there was more. Even though she has a disability she is still one spunky lady. Would like to see more not so perfect main characters find happiness in the end.Keep them coming.
Enjoyed reading this book. It was interesting to see how his parents worked so hard to bring happiness to their autistic child.
An interesting read set deep in the Kentucky Palisades, which is why I picked it up to begin with. The plot is interesting, the characters more so. There are wonderful little tidbits of Bluegrass history scattered throughout the book. While the plot twists and turns, the mystery of whodunit isn’t difficult to solve. The storyline meanders as it …
