Retired Marine, Mason Bennett, has two goals: adjust to civilian life and keep drama out of it. His focus is on his role as part-owner, along with his siblings, of Atlanta’s hottest nightclub. However, his attention shifts when the woman he has loved like a sister reenters his life and thoughts of a passionate kiss they shared hijacks his mind. Their connection is explosive. Feelings he’s tried … tried to deny come to the forefront, and he’s tempted to do something he thought he would never do—cross that line from friends to lovers.
TV news anchor, London Alexander, is back home in Atlanta and ready to start a new chapter in her life. This time she hopes her future includes Mason, the man she has loved forever. She’s ready to step over the forbidden line that he’s drawn in their relationship.
Will taking a chance on love lead to a happily-ever-after? Or will risking their friendship leave them both with broken hearts?

I enjoyed Mason’s story, but was a little let down with how the Cory story arc ended. I was kind of a let down that it happened (off screen). London didn’t really get to have her “moment” with him and what he was doing. The bow was a little too neatly wrapped on that part of their(her) journey. Otherwise, a good read.
Great love story on Mason Bennett and London even though with the issues the two of them were having it was really nice that they were able to come together when it really counted.
A Passionate Kiss – Mason and London, A Passionate Night – Harper and Hunter, A Passionate Love – Cameron And Simone were all stand alone books it would have been nice if they were actual continuations of the previous books to allow the readers to see how the characters were progressing.
It was also nice to know that Mason was friends with Wiz and Malik and it was great to read that Malik and Natasha have children.
Waiting for Sharon’s next book.
I was a bit confused at first. When I bought this book, it was part of the Bennett Triplets series. When I read the book, the cover had changed and it had become book 1 or the prequel in the Atlanta’s Finest series. I guess, technically it is both.
I enjoyed the book. It was a quick read, much shorter than I anticipated. I liked Mason and London as a couple. I could even get with the whole childhood family friend situation that developed into love. One of my issues is that the relationship just seemed to happen without much development.
At one point, I thought it was about Mason and his siblings. That we would get more info on his past in the military, with his relationships, his siblings, even his past experiences with London. I felt like those details got in honorable mention so that we could get into London’s part of the book.
Then it became mostly about London. I must have been really confused because when London decided she needed more from Mason, I was under the impression that Mason had already put that on the table when he countered her proposition. I didn’t understand why she was getting all in her feelings when Mason was the one that wanted to slow things down, have them get to know each other, and see where it the relationship was going to go. I’m all for London asserting herself and confirming what she wanted, but I was not under the impression that Mason ever said to London that he didn’t want a full relationship with her.
I am also obviously a chicken. I would have been running around telling anyone who would listen about Cory. Especially if my man ran security for his family’s club! Girl please!
Last thing to get off of my chest. I couldn’t figure out why London didn’t take herself to the doctor. The woman was having a hard time BREATHING! Not a little nausea. Not a bit of lightheadedness. Not a little joint or muscle pain, some cramps, etc. BREATHING!!!
Even with those things, I enjoyed the book. Mase and London got their HEA. I got an epilogue. Now I just need to figure out which Books are the other two triplets, Cameron and Harper’s stories.
