What happens when a Bradford with questionable OCD, a tempter and a reputation for making his employees cry falls for the woman that refuses to accept the fact that he’s fired her and was terrifyingly more of a Bradford than he was?Well, we can’t share that here, because it would be seriously inappropriate, but we’re sure that you can see where this is leading…To the altar or a stint in the … slammer, either one is possible when it comes to the Neighbor from Hell Series.

LOL entertaining. Again the wacky Bradfords, but a bit less food obsessed with just the karaoke bar scene. “Lucifer” Bradford is not a light-hearted jerk like his brothers and cousins. But he takes his responsibilities very seriously. Rebecca has survived 5 years in his employ – despite being regularly fired.
Audiobook review: Fire and Brimstone is full of laughs and deviousness. The characters are adorable. The best friends banter had me laughing out loud. The narrator did a great job with providing unique voices for each character and appropriate tone inflections for each scene.
This was my first book by this author and I LOVED it! It saved me in so many ways. I was reading it late at night when I got some horrible news. This book got me through with it’s humor and heart. It took me out of myself in the best way. I’ve since read all the Neighbors From Hell series which were some of my favorite reads of all time, then I read all of this authors books and have loved them all. I wholeheartedly recommend this book and this author.
As usual a Bradford’s relationship with his woman is quite entertaining:
“Are you staring at my ***?” she asked after a slight pause. “Yup,” he said, seeing absolutely no reason to lie about it.
I loved this book, Lucifer was just like the otheR Bradford men, although I didnt see him have a big appetite as the others I thought. I can’t wait for the next one.
National politics plus personal concerns have me very stressed out these days. The wit and charm of R.L. Mathewson’s stories make for a fine rest—I just open up one of her books and I’m whisked away to Bradfordland. Everybody there is as confused by life as I, but like me they have generally good intentions.
I especially enjoy Mathewson’s idiosyncratic way of seeing the world. The uniforms aren’t just ugly. No, that would be too ordinary, too pedestrian. The new uniforms “would make a lovely addition to a bonfire.”
I’m afraid romance novels aren’t celebrated for literary merit. Too often, they’re treated as disposable. A folly. Apart from the pleasure of the stories themselves, Mathewson’s books are a happy place to revel in the slightly cockeyed expressions of her gentle, affectionate world view and the deft way she deploys the English language to convey it to all of us.
I get the biggest kick out every NFH books, they make me smile and laugh. Lucifer and Rebecca’s story was much fun to read, Rebecca pays no never mind to Lucifer when he fires her, lol he certainly met his match.
Lucifer Bradford is the proud owner of a restaurant called Fire and Brimstone. He has spent the last ten years trying to perfect it so that it would be the best in town. There was also this one pain in the rear waitress named Rebecca that was on staff at the restaurant, and her sole purpose in life (or at least for the last five years) was to give Lucifer hell and to at least try to drive him insane.
Rebecca could fit right in with the Bradford family with their crazy prankster ways. Heck, she could really give them a run for their money in a prank war…and let’s just say that it would not be an easy feat to out-prank any Bradford.
RL Matthewson did an amazing job writing this specific story. All of the books in her amazing Neighbor From Hell series never fail to keep me laughing so hard, but this particular story shed light on a health issue that hits close to home. The way that RL introduced it into the story was done in such a clever way that it was more like a prop and didn’t take away any of the humor. Lucifer and Rebecca had me laughing so hard that I accidentally woke my daughter up at 1:30am. One of the best parts was learning why exactly they call him Lucifer and what his real name is…it’s a really nice name too. I need more Bradford hysterics in my life!
